317 Saber of Black vs Saber of Red

"Argh! Seriously, what does it have to do with me? I'm not on their side anyway!"

Mordred scoffed and pursed her lips as she saw Siegfried's attention shift to other battles.

"How's it going, Saber? Did you win?"

Kairi, watching the battle between Siegfried and Mordred from afar, quickly noticed that something was off with her condition and promptly contacted her through their Master-Servant contract.

"No biggie, an opponent of this degree is not a problem for me. Just trust me, Master." Mordred grinned, her magical sword spewing crimson thunder.

*BOOM!*

With a deafening roar, she shot out like a cannonball.

"I am fated to become a king after all!"

"Hmm?" Siegfried furrowed his brows slightly and turned his head to the approaching Mordred.

Normally, she should have sensed the power of his armor. Instead of looking for an opening opportunistically, she charged head-on instead, which was akin to walking into a death trap.

'What is Saber of Red thinking?'

Though he had his doubts, the experienced Siegfried wouldn't hesitate over such matters. He quickly assumed his stance and gripped his sword tightly, preparing to skillfully sever her head.

"Watch this!" Mordred yelled, unexpectedly throwing her sword directly at him.

*Whoosh—!*

"!!!"

Siegfried's pupils contracted, instinctively raising his sword to deflect the incoming sword.

However, this move left a wide opening in front of him.

"I will teach you a lesson, Saber of Black!"

Mordred, surrounded by crimson thunder, ruthlessly kicked Siegfried in the stomach.

*BANG!*

With Mordred's 'B+ Strength', Siegfried felt like being hit head-on by a heavy truck.

*BOOOM—!*

Siegfried flew backward, crushing all the golems and the dragon tooth warriors along the way into pieces.

Mordred caught her falling sword with a casual smile.

"Remember this, there are no rules in a fight!"

"Is this even okay? I've never seen a Saber throw their own sword to attack." Kairi couldn't help but comment.

"Well, Master, that just shows your lack of experience."

Mordred grinned carelessly, then turned her gaze towards Siegfried, who was getting back on his feet not far away.

"Looks like normal attacks won't do much, huh... Master, I'm going to use my Noble Phantasm."

"Alright, I trust you. I'll be ready to support you with my command spells at any time."

"Heh! I take back what I said before. Master, you're actually quite reliable." Mordred said with a smile and lifted Clarent above her head.

Terrifying and powerful magical energy quickly emanated from her sword and a torrent of deep crimson thunder soared into the sky as if painting the entire world with an ocean of lightning.

"Master!" Siegfried exclaimed and raised his sword with a serious expression.

His Armor of Fafnir could negate any attack of B-rank and below, but the Noble Phantasm that Saber of Red was about to unleash would undoubtedly be A-rank or higher. Even with the defense of his armor, he wouldn't be able to withstand this attack.

But if he used his Noble Phantasm, it would mean revealing his true name completely, which meant the weakness on his back would probably get exposed.

"Go, Saber, bring me victory!" Gordes declared without hesitation.

Siegfried's lips curved into a slight smile as he raised Balmung high.

"Rest assured, Master. I will absolutely present you with the final victory."

The true ether from the Age of Gods soon gushed out, and a column of terrifying magical energy soared into the sky as the bluish light on Balmung seemed to lead the entire world to its ultimate end.

"This is the evil sword that destroyed my father! Clarent Blood Arthur!"

"The evil dragon shall fall, and the world will reach its sunset. I will bring you down—Balmung!"

Both Sabers declared their Noble Phantasms and swung down their swords with all their might.

*BOOOOOOOM—!!!*

The thunderous clash between the crimson thunder and the bluish column of light made it seem as if mountains were collapsing.

*Rumble—!!!*

The earth shook and cracked, a storm of catastrophic proportions swept across more than half the battlefield. Both the dragon tooth warriors and the golems, in the face of this terrifying power, were left powerless and instantly torn into powder, leaving no trace behind.

"Hmm?"

The intense commotion caused by the two Sabers naturally caught Arkhan's attention in the sky. Observing the crimson thunder, his brow couldn't help but slightly furrow.

"It seems to be Momo... Should we...?" Nidhogg's voice echoed in his ears.

Arkhan pondered for a moment, then shook his head.

"I'll handle it; you keep dealing with this floating fortress."

"Alright." Nidhogg nodded.

By now, almost all eleven black panels of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon had been dealt with. Although there were still twelve EX-rank magic circles remaining, they were not enough to pose a significant threat to her.

"Huff... Are you... Huff... fucking kidding me...?"

Mordred panted heavily, leaning on her sword, almost kneeling on the ground, with most of her armor shattered.

Her gaze was fixed on Siegfried across from her.

Although his armor had also nearly shattered, his aura had not weakened much and still exuded strong pressure.

"Damn it, I'll definitely take you down!" Mordred gritted her teeth, standing up despite the pain coursing through her body.

"Oy! Don't be stubborn, Saber. You can't win against him this time. Retreat first!" Kairi's panicked voice echoed in her mind.

"No! I won't have another chance next time!" Mordred exclaimed stubbornly and clenched her teeth tightly.

Even as proud as she was, she had to admit that she was not a match for Saber of Black in front of her. If she couldn't finish him off in one go this time, she would have no chance at all.

"Hurry, Saber! We must not let Saber of Red escape!" Gordes urgently urged.

"Yes, Master!"

Siegfried took a deep breath and charged forward with his dragon-slaying sword, intending to behead Mordred.

However—

*Swish!*

*BOOOM!*

A white lance descended from the sky, piercing straight into the ground, perfectly blocking the path between Mordred and Siegfried.

"Have you two fought enough?"

Arkhan spoke calmly as he landed on the ground and picked up Abyss Flower, his imposing gaze swept over both Sabers.

"Now, both of you, stop this at once."
