Chapter 6

"Not so fast, 'my king.' I would like to share in her flesh and blood, as well as her entrails," echoed a melodic and lethal voice from behind the Berserker Lancer. It was a woman of irresistible beauty, but her face was hidden behind a mask. Her white hair fell silky and exuded an aura of charm.

"So greedy. And her soul? Who will have the honor of possessing it?" retorted the Berserker Lancer, annoyed by the interruption.

"There is no merit in taking her soul. Do you think honor or reputation can maintain my beauty? It is her blood and flesh that will make me even more stunning!" replied the Berserker Assassin with interrupted pauses in her voice, revealing heavy breathing. Could her excitement be manifesting in her words?

"Very well then. I shall claim her soul. How ironic, indeed," spoke the Berserker Lancer. He coveted the flesh and blood, but he was willing to claim Jeanne's soul.

"I can only appreciate your beauty after you have fallen like a bloodthirsty demon," added the Berserker Lancer with a melancholic smile, gazing at the Berserker Assassin by his side.

"Yes, that's why my emotions cannot be contained," admitted the Berserker Assassin, stepping closer to stand side by side with the Berserker Lancer.

"I won't forgive anyone more beautiful than me. In fact, the blood of those more beautiful can only elevate my own beauty! My beauty will be supreme!" declared the Berserker Assassin fervently, her eyes fixed on Jeanne as if longing for the moment when she could bathe in her blood.

"This is unsettling. Come! I will stop you! You won't leave this place!" said Jeanne determinedly, positioning herself with her flag as if she were about to engage in battle, her flag serving as a lance.

"Foolish. Do you intend to face both of us at once? In your current state? Hahaha. It will be easier than I imagined," Jeanne dark, mounted on her wyvern, began to laugh, but something surprised her. Jeanne's posture was skilled, as if she had trained with a lance before. However, she had no recollection of ever fighting with a lance. She was only setting everything ablaze.

"What beautiful eyes! Your gaze only intensifies my determination to bathe in your blood!" exclaimed the Berserker Assassin, feeling even more determined to satiate herself with Jeanne's blood and enhance her own beauty.

Jeanne charged bravely and determinedly against the two powerful Berserkers, focusing her attacks on the Berserker Assassin. However, her assault was promptly interrupted by the agile Berserker Lancer, who positioned himself between them, challenging her.

"I am your opponent," declared the Berserker Lancer with an imposing voice, pushing Jeanne back and initiating a series of swift attacks.

Jeanne skillfully defended herself against each onslaught, demonstrating her remarkable lance skills. Although they might not be the best, they were undeniably impressive.

"Besides being a saint, you also possess remarkable lance skills, even when you only have a flag in your hands. I am truly impressed," commented the Berserker Lancer, genuinely admiring Jeanne's dexterity. She could keep up with her opponent, even in her Berserk state.

"I am not a saint. I appreciate it. I have been properly trained," responded Jeanne with conviction. Then, they both attacked simultaneously. Jeanne felt her strength wavering, aware that she would not be able to hold on much longer.

"I see that you're weakening, and soon you won't have any resistance left. Wouldn't it be better to give up? That way, we would save time for both of us, miss," suggested the Berserker Lancer, noticing Jeanne's fragility. However, she persisted in her fight against him.

The Berserker Lancer lunged again, and Jeanne prepared to expend her remaining energy in defense. She couldn't stop now. However, Mash intervened, placing herself in front of Jeanne and blocking the blow with her impenetrable shield.

"I see you've also decided to join in," observed the Berserker Lancer, fixing his eyes on Mash.

"Mash?! I told you I could handle this on my own!" exclaimed Jeanne, disapproving of the intervention. She didn't want to involve Mash and her master in her affairs. They should fulfill their own mission.

"I'm sorry, Santa Jeanne, but my master and I can't simply abandon you," Mash replied, keeping her gaze fixed on the Berserker Lancer.

"I can't believe you couldn't defeat a young girl... And now, one more person joins the party. Did you feel sorry for her?" taunted the Assassin Berserker, mocking the situation.

"Compassion doesn't suit you. You are much like a monster, Dracul," replied the Assassin Berserker, revealing the true identity of the Berserker Lancer.

"Dracul... it can't be," whispered Mash, unable to believe the presence of the servant before her.

"Vlad III... the greatest hero of Romania, also known as the Lord Impaler," exclaimed Dr. Roman, surprised by the revelation.

"Who would have thought you would reveal my true name in front of others. I am extremely displeased," expressed Vlad III, demonstrating his dissatisfaction with his true name being revealed.

"What's the problem? I'd rather be remembered by a bad name than not be remembered at all," replied the Assassin Berserker, showing indifference to Vlad III's discontent.

"Besides... I prefer being called by my true name. Dread and despair, lightly seasoned with hope. Those who scream the loudest are the little squirrels who think, 'I can escape,'" added the Assassin Berserker, speaking seriously and making it clear that she didn't care if her true name was known by others.

"I find it interesting what you just said, considering you were brought to ruin by those who actually escaped," Vlad III said with a smile, looking at the Assassin Berserker as if he wanted to see her reaction.

"How does it feel? Elizabeth Bathory, also known as Carmilla. I find your ending quite amusing, as your tragic fate was caused by the 'squirrels'," Vlad III said, poking at the same subject again. He didn't even mind revealing the Assassin Berserker's true name, since she revealed his.

"Not interesting at all. I expected my name to be revealed when I bathed in the saint's blood, but you ruined my pleasure," Carmilla expressed her dissatisfaction, as she had planned to reveal her name while taking her beauty bath.

"Both of you, stop! What are you doing? I've already told you that you can destroy as much as you want, but know who is friend and who is foe!" Jeanne d'Arc shouted angrily and dissatisfied with the two servants who were fighting each other with words.

"Mistress, don't misunderstand. I sincerely admire the count as a leader," Carmilla spoke to calm the nerves of her mistress.

"Should I be worried about being secretly admired by an assassin? It's not very pleasant," Vlad III couldn't help but tease Carmilla, who simply smiled in response.

"You shouldn't worry, as you don't possess the beauty I seek," Carmilla provocatively replied to Vlad III.

"Master, even though they're fighting, don't let your guard down. Remember, they're still trying to kill us," Mash warned Fujimaru, who had relaxed due to the servants' quarrel. However, upon hearing Mash's voice, Fujimaru became alert once again.

"Well, I think it's my turn now. Please, don't mistake me for the gentle Vlad III. Because if you do, you'll have an even worse ending," Carmilla declared as she advanced and looked at Jeanne, Mash, and Fujimaru.

"Master... Elisabeth Báthory... Do you know her?" Mash asked Fujimaru.

"The Blood Countess, right?" Fujimaru responded uncertainly, but to him, that name belonged to this woman, the Blood Countess.

"That's right. Just like Vlad III, she was feared as a monster. She believed, or still believes, apparently, that bathing in the blood of virgins would keep her young. She claims to have murdered hundreds of girls," Mash said, visibly displeased. She felt pity for the girls who fell into the hands of this woman.

"Mash! I'm enjoying your history lesson, really, but isn't it time for you to leave? I'm not liking the other Jeanne's face at all. It's terrifying!" Dr. Roman interrupted Mash's history lesson. He felt quite uncomfortable, especially when looking at Jeanne's face. The expression on her face seemed to be worsening with each passing moment, as if she were about to explode at any moment, and that's not what Dr. Roman wanted to happen.

"You can go, I'll hold them off," Jeanne declared with unwavering confidence, even though she herself was not in her best condition. She placed full trust in her abilities, determined to keep them occupied until Mash and Fujimaru could escape.

"Santa Jeanne, I've told you once, and I'll say it again: we won't leave your side," Fujimaru affirmed with conviction. Jeanne felt a mix of gratitude and guilt. What if something happens to them? Won't the blame fall on her shoulders? It's a distressing contradiction that consumes her.

"What's this? A glass flower?" Dr. Roman exclaimed, anxiously biting his nails, as everyone turned their attention to the glass flower that surprisingly hovered in the air.

"Not very elegant, is it?"

"Just like this city. It's not the style of combat I appreciate. I also disagree with your philosophy and principles."

"You're so beautiful, yet you involve yourself in bloodshed and hatred."

"For better or worse, shouldn't humans aspire to be freer?"

"A Servant?" Jeanne Alter questioned aloud, sensing that it was a Servant.

"Yes, exactly. I'm so excited! Calling yourself the hero of justice!"

"I know who you are. I also know of your immense strength and the terror it brings."

"To be honest, I must admit I've never trembled in fear of someone like this before."

"Still, if you intend to invade this nation, I will confront you, even if it means tearing my dress."

"Why? Because..."

"That voice... That voice is familiar to me. How could I forget?" uttered Saber Berserk, who had remained silent until then.

"It seems there's someone who knows me. Who are you, magnificent knight?"

"Saber, do you know who she is?" Jeanne Alter inquired, her voice heavy with silence.

"Answer me!" Jeanne exclaimed angrily, as it seemed that Saber Berserk hesitated to reveal the woman's identity.

"How could I not know who she is? Even with the murderous rage consuming my heart, her beauty is unmistakable. The girl known as the Flower of Versailles. She is... Marie Antoinette."

"Queen Marie Antoinette?" Mash exclaimed.

That's right! The girl with pink or purple hair, I don't know. But I'm envious! Um... Where was I? Oh, yes. Before anything else, I have to be polite. Thank you for mentioning my name!

"Now, getting back to where I was. As long as this name exists, I will fulfill my role, no matter how foolish it may be."

"You! Dragon Witch who is setting my country ablaze. It may be futile, but I'll ask anyway."

"Are you wicked enough to carry out your perverse acts in my presence?"

"Will you declare yourself more foolish than I, the queen who failed to stop the revolution?"

"Silence! You have no right to partake in this battle. You shouldn't even be here!" Jeanne shouted angrily. She's already furious because of Marie Antoinette.

"Oh, and why is that?" Maria asked, confused, as she can't, but others can participate. Did she not come in the right dress? Maria wondered.

"You lived a life of luxury in a palace and died without knowing what happened. Are you saying you can understand our hatred?" Jeanne spoke, venting her frustrations.

"Hmm... I guess I can't. But it only makes me want to know more, Dragon Witch." Maria may not understand how Jeanne feels, but that doesn't mean she can't learn!

"I won't waste my breath on you." Jeanne said, dismounting her wyvern. She plans to fight alone.

"Hey! Wait! I have something to say... Amadeus, what are you waiting for? My death? Soothe the souls of the dead caused by these villains!" Maria shouted. This cry took everyone by surprise because it seemed there was more to it than just her.
