Chapter 21

"Let's go after the other servants," Jeanne said firmly, looking at her companions.

Jeanne Alter climbed onto Fafnir's back and exclaimed, "Time to fly, Fafnir! The other servants shouldn't be too far away."

Fafnir flapped his powerful wings and swiftly took off towards the horizon, carrying them in search of allies who could join their cause.

As they flew, Jeanne took the opportunity to ask, "How long do you think the noble ghost of Amadeus will keep Rémy stunned?"

Amadeus replied honestly, "I have no idea. The power of my noble ghost is unpredictable, and its influence over Rémy can vary. I can't say for certain how long he will remain stunned."

Jeanne absorbed the information and nodded, aware that they would have to adapt as the situation unfolded. Every second would be crucial to make the most of the advantage they had.

It didn't take long for them to spot the first servant in the distance. Jeanne Alter, recognizing the figure as Berserker Saber, knew she had to act quickly. She shouted to Berserker Saber, ordering her to climb onto the dragon's back.

Berserker Saber, surprised by the order, exclaimed, "Master? What's going on?"

Jeanne Alter replied firmly, "There's no time for explanations now! Get on the dragon's back!"

With a mix of curiosity and trust in her master, Berserker Saber obeyed and quickly climbed onto the dragon's back, finding a secure place to hold on.

As Fafnir continued his swift flight, now with Berserker Saber aboard, Jeanne Alter knew that each servant who joined them would increase their chances of success in the battle against Rémy. There was still much work to be done, but they were moving in the right direction.

Maria looked at Berserker Saber with a mix of curiosity and concern. "Who are you?" Maria asked, trying to understand the source of the anger directed at her.

Berserker Saber, with an expression filled with fury, replied in a harsh tone, "That's none of your business. Just stay out of my way."

Berserker Saber's response only increased Maria's confusion. She couldn't recall any previous encounter with that warrior, but something inside her told her there was more to this hostile reaction.

Maria, seeking answers, turned to Amadeus and asked, "Do you know this woman? Any idea who she might be?"

Amadeus looked closely at Berserker Saber and, after a brief analysis, shook his head. "I have no idea. She's a complete unknown to me as well."

The lack of knowledge about Berserker Saber's identity heightened the group's intrigue. As they continued to fly on Fafnir's back, they maintained a cautious attitude, aware that they would need to handle this new presence carefully.

Jeanne Alter, noticing the tension between Maria and Berserker Saber, decided to intervene. She approached Maria and said with conviction, "Don't worry, Berserker Saber won't hurt anyone. Let's keep our focus on our mission."

Although Jeanne Alter didn't explicitly ask Berserker Saber to stop staring at Maria, her comment conveyed the message that peace was necessary between them.

Maria, feeling somewhat reassured by Jeanne Alter's words, decided to show a bit of irreverence. She stuck out her tongue at Berserker Saber, who grimaced in response. It was a playful way to ease the tension and remind everyone that, despite their differences, they were together on this journey.

Suddenly, Jeanne pointed at Emiya, who was walking at a certain distance. Emiya, surprised, looked up and saw the dragon descending towards him.

Jeanne exclaimed excitedly, "Now we just need Mash and Fujimaru! Let's find them, and then we'll be complete to face Rémy!"

Jeanne Alter disagreed with Jeanne's statement and intervened, "Jeanne, we have more servants besides Mash and Fujimaru. We need to gather all the possible allies to confront Rémy."

Emiya, who had climbed onto the dragon's back, heard the conversation and joined them. Jeanne looked at him with relief and said, "I'm glad you're okay, Emiya."

Emiya thanked her and, eager to contribute to the plan, asked, "What's the next step, then?"

Jeanne promptly replied, "We will continue following the previous plan. We need to find a way to heal Siegfried's wound. My abilities alone are not enough to do that."

Jeanne paused for a moment and continued, explaining, "We will need to find another saint, someone with healing powers. If we can count on that help, we will have a greater chance of defeating Rémy."

Jeanne Alter expressed firmly and determinedly, "We must find the girl with pink hair first and foremost, along with her master. From there, we will embark on our search for the servant capable of controlling my formidable wyverns."

"A servant who can control your wyverns... Do you know who he is?" Jeanne asked curiously.

Jeanne Alter agreed with Jeanne's question and replied, "I have no knowledge of the servant capable of controlling my wyverns. But, as I mentioned before, our priority now is to find Mash and her master. They are key pieces for our mission."

The group agreed with Jeanne Alter and decided that finding Mash and her master would be the first step. They knew that Mash, as the Demi-Servant, had unique abilities and could be a great help in the battle against Rémy.

Jeanne pointed in a distant direction and said, "I sense Mash's presence coming from that direction. Let's head there, and hopefully, we can find her soon."

Jeanne Alter, showing her direct and straightforward nature, asked sharply, "How can you sense Mash's presence if you're weakened?"

Jeanne, a little surprised by Jeanne Alter's brusque attitude, calmly responded, "I understand your concern, my alter self. Although Mash may be far away, I have a connection with her. I can sense her presence in a more intense way than others."

She continued explaining, "Furthermore, when I'm riding Fafnir, my spiritual abilities are amplified, allowing me to perceive the energies around me more clearly, even if they are weakened."

Jeanne Alter, still somewhat skeptical, retorted, "I see... I hope your special connection proves to be really useful. We can't afford to waste time or follow wrong leads."

Jeanne, understanding Jeanne Alter's concern, replied firmly, "I understand your impatience, wicked Jeanne. Let's trust my intuition for now, but we will also be alert to other possibilities. Our goal is to gather our allies and defeat Rémy, and we will do whatever it takes to achieve that."

With the immense help of Fafnir, the group was quickly transported to the exact location where Fujimaru and Mash were. As they reached their destination, Fujimaru looked up at the sky, taken by surprise at the majestic appearance of the imposing dragon. Mash, recognizing the familiar and powerful Fafnir, couldn't contain her exclamation, "It's Fafnir! Jeanne and the others must be here!"

Without wasting a single second, the group mounted the dragon's back and took flight in the direction indicated by Jeanne Alter. The impressive speed and grandeur of Fafnir as it tore through the skies showcased the group's urgency and burning determination to reunite.

While soaring through the skies, Jeanne couldn't contain her relief as she spotted Fujimaru and Mash safe and sound. "We finally meet again! We were deeply worried about you," she said.

A serene smile formed on Fujimaru's lips as they replied sincerely, "We apologize for the delay. We had no idea where we were falling, but now we are safe. And Mash is ready to face any challenge."

Mash, by Fujimaru's side, nodded with determination and waved confidently, "I am fully prepared to face all the challenges that may arise in our path. Together, we will triumph over Rémy."

--------------------

With each laborious movement, Rémy dragged his feet along the arduous path, as if every step consumed an immense amount of energy from his already exhausted body. However, even in the face of overwhelming difficulty, he refused to succumb. Determined, he persisted in his uncertain journey, surpassing his own limits with every step.

The panting breaths and the sweat dripping down his forehead were clear evidence of the supernatural effort being demanded of Rémy. His aching muscles protested with each movement, and the weight of exhaustion accumulated on his shoulders like an unbearable burden. Yet, he did not falter. His courage and determination illuminated his weary eyes, fueling his spirit with the flame of hope.

As the relentless sun punished his skin, Rémy, a mix of defiance and fatigue, spoke encouraging words to himself, "I'm getting close to the city. I'm not far now." His voice, though trembling and intermittent, contained resolute determination that propelled him forward. Each syllable was a persistent reminder that he still had the strength to face the remaining challenges.

"Finally, I've arrived," Rémy spoke as he sat down, waiting for his wyvern to arrive.

"What should I do? There's nothing to do," Rémy said as he lay on the city's ruins. He looked up at the sky, awaiting his wyvern's arrival.

He picked up a pebble and threw it as a form of play. He continued doing so for a while.

Rémy spent hours engrossed in the simple pastime of throwing pebbles, finding a brief moment of lightheartedness and relief. However, his amusement was interrupted when an immense shadow covered his view, casting itself over him and capturing his attention.

Surprised and irritated, Rémy looked up and exclaimed, "Who the hell is blocking the sun that's shining on me?" His voice resonated through the city's wreckage, filled with frustration and impatience.
