49 Chapter 48: Scathach's secret and new path

(Titus's (Ferdiad's) POV)

"Let's have sex." Scathach said, surprising the hell out of me. I never thought I'd hear those words coming from her mouth, especially as she straddled me, completely nude.

Scathach, a queen by birth, had always exuded regal elegance. Ruling her people came naturally to her, and she never let go of her dignity as a woman. Even after spending two years together, I had never seen her naked before this moment. And there she was, tantalizingly close, her body a masterpiece. Perfectly proportioned arms and legs, and breasts that were nothing short of heavenly. I couldn't help but admire her.

My gaze wandered lower, catching sight of a purple bush leading to unimaginable pleasure of mankind. I felt myself growing more aroused, my manhood asserting itself.

"You're packing quite the package," she smirked, guiding my hand to her breast. "Now that you're touching me, consider yourself lucky."

I was puzzled by her sudden change in demeanor, but I decided not to question it. When opportunity knocks, you answer the door, right?

I leaned in to kiss her, but as our eyes met, I saw something I hadn't noticed before – a profound emptiness in her gaze. There was no life, no vitality. I even realized she lacked a heartbeat and body warmth. She seemed human, but she wasn't.

Finally waking up, I decided to talk.

I sighed, gently caressing her cheek. "Yeah, I should be happy, but not like this," I said, furrowing my brow. "I'm willing to listen, and I promise I won't leave your side until my last breath."

Scathach fell silent for a moment, then abruptly got up and left. My Stand was eager for a fight but I calmed him down. I followed suit, straightening my clothes.

I found her sitting naked by a large window, gazing out over the endless wastelands of the Land of Shadows. I pulled a sheet from my inventory and covered her. Serious conversations were difficult when her irresistibly sexy body was on display.

I sat down beside her, captivated by her beautiful face. I brushed her bangs behind her ear and planted a gentle kiss on her cheek.

"I did say you'd be mine, didn't I?" I chuckled. "Now I need to understand my lover a bit better."

Scathach looked at me, a smile breaking her somber expression. "Hehe, you're half right," she said, then sighed. "I train warriors so that one day, they might kill me, ending my misery and releasing me from this hell. After years of training, Cu was the one I chose, but... he turned out to be a failure."

I was taken aback by her harsh words for her beloved pupil. Yet, what she said was true. Cu Chulainn, in Nasuverse lore, was a bit soft when it came to women and children. He was supposed to kill Aoife during the war, but ended up banging her. I also knew he would eventually forgive Medb, who would sacrifice hundreds of lives for a pair of bulls.

"But even Cu won't be able to kill you," I said, my voice firm. "You know this."

Gae Bolg might be a powerful weapon, but it couldn't pierce the heart of someone already hollow like Scathach. I didn't know the specifics of her situation, but I knew that a person without a heart couldn't be killed by a weapon meant to pierce one.

"You're right. I was deluding myself, clinging to a hopeless wish that would never come true," Scathach admitted, looking at me. "You're speaking as if you knew this would happen from the start."

"Yes, I did," I replied, my tone serious. "Shishou, please tell me more about yourself. I may not seem believable, but I can kill you."

Scathach studied me for a moment before nodding. "It all started when I became drunk with power," she began, recounting her backstory.

Her tale aligned with what I knew about her from actual history and Nasuverse lore. Born to Árd-Greimne of Lethra, she chose the path of a warrior instead of relying on men for protection. However, what I didn't know was that this decision led to her downfall.

Initially, she became a warrior to protect her people and bring peace. But her thirst for war grew, leading her to seek out strong opponents and even wage wars. When she found no satisfaction, she turned her weapons on deities and other phantasmal beings. She started fighting for humanity at start, but in her pursuit, she ended up slaying gods and divine beings left and right.

The worst part was that in gaining so many blessings and curses, she became immortal and was confined to this undead wasteland, unable to live or die. Now I understood why Merlin had warned me about gods and fairies, and their blessings and curses. Scathach was a prime example of their devastating effects.

She had lost her sense of touch, smell, taste – everything that made her human. Yet, she retained an iron will, refusing to succumb to darkness and losing herself.

"That's truly admirable, Shishou," I said, genuinely moved. "I admire you even more for not succumbing to despair and darkness."

If I had become immortal and had to live in this repugnant wasteland, I might have embraced my villainous side, starting my villain arc. I might have controlled the undead and embarked on a path of world conquest. But Scathach didn't succumb to such temptations, and I deeply respected her for it.

"Hehe~! Thank you, Ferdiad. I appreciate your admiration," Scathach chuckled before sighing. "But that's the extent of it. And you don't have to kill me. I know you can't do it."

"I can," I insisted, my eyes pleading. "There's still something you're hiding from me. Something you haven't told me."

How did I know this? Because that's where my Odin's Eye led me. Yes, when I first arrived in the Land of Shadows, I had already used Odin's Eye to devise a plan. I had figured out how to deal with Cu's quest, but Scathach's quest stopped here. To understand how to kill her, I needed to know something about her that she hadn't revealed.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," she replied, her face a mask of inscrutability.

"Please don't hide it. I know there's something you haven't shared with anyone, something you haven't shown me. I need to know before I can figure out anything," I pleaded, but Scathach remained silent.

Her expression remained stoic, suggesting that whatever she knew was more important than her death. Or perhaps there was a curse or seal preventing her from revealing this information.

I sighed, making a decision. It was time to reveal my true identity.

"Actually, I'm from the future."

"I knew this," Scathach said, her voice calm. "Now it's your turn to explain your side, pal."

I nodded, feeling a mixture of confusion and relief as I spilled the truth about my unusual situation. I explained how I had been tasked with these quests, my abilities, and the looming threat of the maturing Beast in our world. To my surprise, Scathach didn't seem even slightly taken aback. It was as if she had been expecting this revelation all along.

"Kid, the moment I first laid eyes on you, I knew you weren't from this land. With time, it became clear that you weren't even from this era," she said, her tone matter-of-fact. "Don't forget who I am. I've lived long enough to understand Celtic men better than anyone else. Your walk, your speech, your mannerisms – everything about you is different from the Celts of these isles. Your composed demeanor and firm voice, even the new words and foods you introduced, not to mention your creations that, according to my foresight, shouldn't be known to humans until centuries later."

I widened my eyes, astonished at her perceptiveness. I had greatly underestimated her abilities. "Odin's Eye, right? If you had told me about this ability from the beginning, I would have shown you something more,"

"Sorry," I added, but Scathach simply responded with a gentle pat on my head.

"Come on, there's something that only you might be able to use. Cu has already received his gift, so now it's your turn to receive your gift from your teacher, Titus," she said, using my real name and offering a warm smile.

With that, she jumped from the window and started walking. I cleared my throat, trying to focus on the serious matter at hand. "Um, shishou, please put some clothes on before that," I said, my gaze involuntarily drawn to her jiggling ass.

"...pervert,"

---

Scathach then guided me deeper into her castle, through stars descending in a mysterious, dark realm. I couldn't tell how much distance we had covered or how much time had passed, as everything was enveloped in darkness. The only sources of light were the lanterns we held.

Finally, we arrived at the innermost sanctum of the castle. Before us stood a grand door inscribed with various runes. Scathach cast a rune spell that she had never taught or used, and the door opened.

As I entered, a wave of new air rushed over me, as if I were being reborn. It felt like I had stepped into an entirely new reality, a different world, like I was no longer just a human. It felt like I had come home.

"This is the true remains of the Norse Gods. Welcome to Odin's treasury," Scathach announced.

She went on to reveal her connection with the Norse gods and how she had acquired the Primordial Runes. After becoming immortal, Scathach was summoned to the age of the gods, in Asgard, by none other than the chief god Odin himself. Odin offered to place the soul of Skadi, his wife, into Scathach's body, thus releasing Scathach's soul. In return, Odin entrusted the mysteries of the Nordic lands to Scathach to ensure that the knowledge of runes would never be lost after Ragnarok.

However, everything went awry when Surtur destroyed Asgard, killing Skadi in the process. The plan failed, and Scathach returned to her original time, but not empty-handed. She had brought with her all these treasures, as I could see in the room we were now in. She also retained all the memories of Skadi, including the knowledge of how to control Primordial Runes.

I was truly taken aback by this revelation. I knew it was part of the Norse Lost Belt in the Fate/Grand Order game, where Skadi actually survived, but I understood that it must have happened in every timeline where Skadi didn't survive.

"That's why I could never tell anyone about this place. You know what would happen if other people or beings discovered the last remains of the Norse Gods still exist," Scathach explained.

It would have caused a storm. Currently, Celtic gods like Lugh and Morrígan still existed in this age, and if they got even a hint of the mysteries of other gods, they would have come to either destroy this place or take whatever measures necessary, even if it meant reducing the isles to rubble. Humans would also continually raid this place throughout time, and Scathach would have had no choice but to defend it against gods and humans alike.

"Are these…" I paused, noticing something peculiar. We were walking upon what appeared to be sand, but upon closer inspection, those were... "rings?"

"Draupnir, to be more specific. You know, the magical ring created by Brok and Sindri and gifted to Odin. The one that can duplicate itself every ninth night, thus producing eight new rings. The very same," Scathach explained.

My jaw dropped in awe upon hearing about the legendary ring that was once just a myth to me. What was even more astonishing was that we were using these copies to climb up. It meant there was also an original one somewhere in this vast hall.

"Don't even bother asking for the original. I've already given up on finding it," Scathach said, her expression turning grim. I guessed she used to search for the original one in her free time.

I didn't dwell on it too much and picked a random ring before activating my Odin's eye.

[Draupnir C (Original)

Draupnir is a gold ring or arm-ring possessed by the god Odin with the ability to multiply itself: Every ninth night, eight new rings 'drip' from Draupnir, each one of the same size and weight as the original.

Condition: Normal]

My eyes widened, and I looked at Scathach. "I think I've found the original one."

Scathach came closer to inspect the ring before giving it back to me, disappointment was evident on her face. "You have truly monstrous luck, kid. Keep it."

I was perplexed as to why she was giving it to me after searching for it for so long. But I figured it was of no use to her. With her luck, she would probably lose it again. So, I placed the ring in my Inventory.

We continued walking until we reached the highest point. Scathach then grabbed a spear and tossed it towards me. "Here, catch."

I caught the spear as if it were the most natural thing in the world, but my surprise grew when I saw the name of the weapon.

[Gungnir A++

Odin's signature weapon.

Effect 1: Never miss its target when thrown.

Effect 2: Can be morphed into a whip.

Effect 3: Contains Bifröst energy in the blade.

Condition: Effects reduced due to time and final war.]

I couldn't believe my eyes; I was holding Odin's legit weapon, the chief god of Norse mythology, in my hands. Even after thousands of years, it was still an A++ weapon. Now, I could also use a Noble Phantasm.

I looked up, and Scathach smiled at me. "Keep it. It's yours, kid."

My eyes widened in disbelief, and I jumped to hug Scathach. "Thank you, shishou!"

"Well, only you can use this anyway. If anyone other than Odin's successor touches it, they'll be turned into crisp by the Bifröst energy," Scathach said, hugging me back. Then, she turned serious, pointing towards a distant object floating on a stone podium.

I walked closer and saw it was a mask, my curiosity piqued.

"Okay! I think I'm in the wrong universe!" I rubbed my eyes repeatedly, trying to make sense of what I was seeing. It was the same mask that appeared in the God of War games!

The Mask of Creation, is an ancient and primordial artifact used by Odin and wielded by Atreus. This wooden mask was magically bound to the Rift of Creation in the game. However, in the game's lore, it was a complete mystery, and no one knew where it came from. It was believed that the mask could allow someone to look into the secrets of Creation itself and grant infinite knowledge. Well, let's put the multiverse theory aside for now.

"I don't know anything about this mask; not even Skadi knows anything. However, when I tried to get close…" Scathach's face turned pale, "I feared that it would turn me into something far worse than I can imagine."

I was confused because I hadn't felt anything when I approached it.

"However, I read in one of the books that Odin obtained his knowledge through this mask. It's possible that this mask is a path to look into creation itself," Scathach added, "And since you have Odin's Eye, my foresight is telling me that you can also use this."

"Is that so…" I said, casually picking up the mask. "I think I can use it. It's just my gut feeling. I am going to use it."

Suddenly, I felt an energy, and I had this sudden urge to put the mask on.

"Be careful, Titus," Scathach warned.

I nodded, and without hesitation, I brought the mask closer to my face, and then… Everything went dark.

Initially, I thought I was standing in the depths of nothingness, but that wasn't the case. I was looking at the point blank of creation itself. It felt like if I thought of anything in this place—any secrets I wanted to know, any feelings I wanted to have—this place would reveal the answers point blank.

I suddenly felt thirsty—not for water, but for knowledge, for possession, and for total control.

I decided to focus on something specific. What should I question about this universe? Yes. Time and… gravity. The very forces that shaped the basis of this universe. I had to know how they worked.

As I made my wish, a letter began to form. With every passing moment, the shape became clearer, and I gained knowledge of how time and gravity worked. Some of it I already knew, but some were entirely new revelations. It revealed the processes, functions, and fundamental nature of time and space that were beyond the understanding of any human. The very foundation of the universe unfolded before my eyes.

At that moment, I called the name of the symbol, still in the process of revealing itself completely. It was a rune, and it was called ISA.

"Titus!"

"Huh…!" I snapped back to reality, flinging the mask away from my face. I found myself on the ground, with Scathach on top of me.

"Get a hold of yourself! Don't lose it," Scathach scolded, trying to remove the mask, which seemed to have taken some effort.

"…hehe….hahahahaha!" I began laughing frantically.

Why shouldn't I? I had obtained something truly significant. It felt like it was just a part of my body that belonged to me. My memory expanded, and my vision became clearer.

"Titus…?" Scathach looked at me with confusion, but I continued to laugh.

I got up and straightened my clothes. "Haha... I'm sorry, shishou, but I'm okay now," I said to reassure my worried teacher. Then, I looked into her eyes with a smirk, "Shishou, go ahead and use your foresight to see if I can kill you now!"

At first, Scathach looked puzzled, but she used some kind of spell before her eyes widened in realization.

"You… can you really…?!" Scathach said, approaching me and placing her hand on my cheek, "You really can… I can tell… you are my salvation."

Just like when she used to praise Cu Chulainn, hoping that one day he would end her despair, she now had the same hopeful look. The hope that died with Cu's actions was revived.

I held her close, a smirk playing on my lips as I put my arm around her waist.

"Now, are you willing to be my woman, shishou?" I asked, materializing a ring from my Inventory. It had the number 4th engraved on it.

"You shameless pupil, even after having three wives, you still want me," Scathach sighed, but her lips soon curled into a smile. "Very well. Don't complain later, as I am a very possessive woman."

"Oh, we will see about that," I said, sliding the ring onto her finger. "You are now mine, Scathach."

She put her arms around my neck as I did around her waist. It was the first time her face was so close. I couldn't say she was cute like the three women I had been with before, but she was incredibly mature and beautiful in her own way.

I was about to kiss her, but then I stopped.

"What is it?" Scathach asked, her voice soft with curiosity.

"You can't taste anything, right?" I asked. Before she could respond, I slid my thumb over her lip. "Now, let's proceed."

Scathach looked puzzled, but I didn't give her a chance to react. I sealed her lips with mine. It was my third time kissing a woman, but this time, the feeling was different. Unlike Nero's and Tamamo's warm lips, Scathach's lips were slightly cold. However, they were mature and inviting.

Scathach, still a bit confused, widened her eyes when I opened her mouth and gently inserted my tongue. It wasn't because she was shocked by my assertiveness; it was because she could now taste something. She closed her eyes, and we shared a thrilling, passionate kiss for the first time.

(AN: Little R18 down.)

And considering me, how could I just get satisfied by a simple kiss. I massaged her bountiful butt with my left hand before I tore her trouser and inserted my finger in her holes. Since she didn't need to be discharged, I guessed it was okay to take pleasure from both of them.

My right hand also fondled her breasts before tearing the same and then pinching her nipples.

Scathach, on the other hand, was least bothered by my other play. She did sense me playing with her body, but she was too busy enjoying me. Eyes closed, she enjoyed the kiss like eating a desert for the first time.

I didn't know how much time had passed, but we soon departed with a silver ring hanging between our lips.

"How did you do this?" Scathach asked with anticipation in her eyes.

"Magic," I smirked.

She looked at me and licked her lips.

"Can you carry me for an hour?" Scathach asked as she snapped, and her skin-tight suit disappeared into thin air.

"Y-yeah, I guess…" I laughed wry, kinda of concerned as Scathach had the look of a hungry wolf, and her prey was none other than me.

She then jumped and wrapped her legs around my waist and arms around my neck.

"As your teacher and now 'only' wife from now on, you have an order to carry me while I eat you." Scathach smirked, "Make sure to massage my butt as you did before. Now, thanks for the food!"

And then we shared some of the most intimate moments of our lives. On that day, we kissed for the time I didn't even remember.
