2 Chapter 2: Start 2
(Titus's POV)
[A desire to know the 'Truth' has awakened the Fate Roulette system within you.]
[Welcome, host. For the cost of using a holy grail, as per the agreement, you will have to complete the Roulette missions in different historical ages of this universe.]
"Wait on a bloody second. What is going on?!"
I was utterly confused.
Deal? What deal? I didn't remember anything such!
[Before the host's reincarnation, the host has chosen the Fate Roulette system as compensation for wishing upon the Holy Grail.]
"I did?!"
Hmm, but why can't I recall anything?
[Every mission you complete will award you a fragment of your past life's memories.]
I had no idea what the hell was going on at this point. But since I didn't want to remain in the dark, I decided to go along.
I looked around but found no one. I was in a park, on a bench under a tree, so there was little to no one who could see me.
"Then tell me what I have to do?"
[The host has to travel to the past and complete a particular task. Every mission will be unique to its level. Some missions may and may not change history.]
I was still confused. Okay, I get that I would be travelling to the past but then what? I have no idea what I have to do in the process.
But then I recalled playing FGO in my previous life. Knowing how singularity works, I guess this system will issue something similar.
"Okay, I am ready."
[Then, let's start with an introduction.
The Quest System will issue will be of two kinds, Main Mission and Requested Mission. Main Missions must be completed at all costs by the host, while Requested Missions are granted on the host's desire.]
[You will be transported via Dreamshift. It means that your body will remain in this world while your soul and consciousness will travel back in time to another body. There are also two types of Dreamshift, primary and imaginary.
Primary Dreamshift could hinder your current timeline, while Imaginary Dreamshift wouldn't. It is up to the host to complete missions without altering your timeline.]
"Okay…" I nodded after getting some gist of the situation. It also looked kind of exciting.
[The system has three sections. [Status Log], [Mission Log] and [Inventory Log]. The latter is currently locked, and more areas might unlock as you progress through missions.
The system might also answer any query that the host would ask.]
Hearing this, I saw the same three options in front of me.

Damn, I knew I was weak, but not to this extent.
Since I wasn't a combat mage, my speciality lay in illusionary art. I was, what you call, a bookworm.
Unlike me, Rin was on a different level in combat and as a mage. She has all five outstanding magic elements and a powerful family magic crest.
For those who don't know, Magic Crest is a separate set of magic circuits that contains the knowledge of spells of a magi family. Consider it like a book of knowledge that includes spells and secrets of years of research by a family, passed down to each heir.
Upon receiving a good magic crest, even a noob can become a professional mage. Shiro and Sakura also had their magic crests granted by Kiritsugu Emiya and Matou family, respectively.
However, I had no magic crest and had to start from scratch. Since I had a unique element, I was lucky enough to roll in the Clock Tower. Even after four years, I was only able to master only two spells. Well, my speciality is in studying lore and history.
I don't know if levelling would increase my stats, but I got to try.

Quest 1: When the night ends, the fire erupts from a mystery to run Rome to ashes. Find the great cause.
Quest 2: The rose emperor, infamous for having a dark heart, seeks something. Find out what it is and grants them.

"Wait, wait! So soon?!"
I jumped with panic, confused as to how I should prepare. What should I do?
"Hey, can you delay it a little? I have to prepare myself! Plus, I also have many questions!"
[The Dreamshift has begun.]
I saw a compass-like object in front of me, and the needle inside it began rolling anti-clockwise.
Before I knew it, I was engulfed in darkness.

"What…"
I opened my eyes, standing in an unknown place.
My body felt the same, but my clothing was different.
Instead of my regular clothes, I wore robe-like clothing, hiding only my right shoulder and bottom and no pants. Though I was also wearing some underwear, it was all good. My sandals were also different; they seemed made of wood. I also had a laurel wreath on my head.
'Where am I…?'
When I looked around, I was shocked to see where I was standing. Magnificent crafting on the walls, windows were glimmering with gold, and a throne was situated in the center of the room.
It was a throne room where I was standing.
If I remember correctly, I planned to Dreamshift in 59 AD Rome. Does that mean I am under the rule of Emperor Nero? Sh*t, my luck….'
I shook my head with utter disappointment. Out of any history king, why do I have to take the mission for him?!
Like other history figurines, I have read about Nero. If you have to define Nero in one word, he was anything but a douchebag.
He was also a bisexual fu*ker, which I hated the most.
"Attention! Emperor Nero is entering the room!!!"
Suddenly, the guards around the main gate yelled, attracting everyone's attention.
Though I hated Nero from historical books, I still had to see him up close. So, I walked near the edge, the red carpet where Nero would be walking.
It was then I saw a person entering the room.
It was a girl.

I was stunned by the sheer aura of majesty and authority that appeared with the girl. She had golden blond hair tied in a bun and wore a silky white dress that couldn't hide the elegance of her body's demeanor. Her curvaceous breasts, despite having a short body, couldn't stop men from averting their eyes.
A natural smile appeared on the onlooker of people around me, so on my face.
As she walked and got closer, my eyes grew wider.
She turned her head and smiled gently when she was in front of me.
"Beaut…"
My voice was stuck in my throat. Maybe it was out of confusion over the insanity around me. No, that wasn't it. I was struck speechless by the overwhelming beauty of this girl who appeared before my eyes.
"Aww, emperor looked at us!"
"She is so beautiful~!"
"I want to die right here~!!"
Admirers brought me back from the stupor, but my eyes still refused to sway away from the blond-haired girl.
She then sat down on the central throne, and another beautiful woman put a crown on the blond-haired girl and gave her a scepter.
Wait, something is wrong. Isn't a man supposed to sit there?
"We greet our beloved Emperor Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus for the audience. The talk shall now begin."
When the announcer called the name of the person sitting on the throne, I was stuck in utter confusion.

"NERO HAS TITS?!!"
I unconsciously yelled in the court.
Everyone, including the girl version of Nero, turned their attention toward me. Anger, disgust, and disappointment all had similar expressions directed towards me. Nero, or Emperor Nero, also looked toward me with anger boiling in her eyes. Her beauty took the shape of the wrath of the sun
That's when I realized I messed up a big part.
"Sh*t."
On the first day of the job and I had already messed up. I need to do something about my luck.
