Healing her

The maid brought a dress for her and a comb. Jax came after changing into a fresh piece of clothing; he stood there to see the maid waking up the girl. "You wait outside," he ordered the maid and she walked out.

He sat beside and voiced in her ears, 'Clem'

Lala opened her eyes immediately because she was bound with him and his voice could bring her consciousness no matter if she was in deep sleep or slumber.

The next was a little rude; he tore open her rough cloth and moved his hand on her wound. Lala would not have minded it if the things were not at such a stage in their lives where they were thinking whether to hate for life each or wait for fate to vanish their names from their hearts.

She tried to hide from his glances but he did not bother how she was feeling right now. Jax leaned over her and licked her shoulder then moved toward the shoulder back, the whip was longer and it caused a pretty deep wound.

"Jax, what are you doing?" Lala gulped to soothe her parched throat, his wet tongue caressed along her skin and he seemed immersed in what he was doing. She felt that the stinging skin was feeling better, the whip and the later torture was so much that it completely made her forget how her skin was ripping.

"If you used herb or medicine on this deep wound it would leave a mark and I don't want your crystal skin to have such a mark because of my guilt." he breathed and told. His warm breathing touched her skin and she could not help but cry.

Her recent memories were so conflicting that it could only increase her sadness. But then Lala remembered how he left her there all alone at the mercy of those vampires. Jax was not grabbing her so she could easily jump down from the small bed in the tattered clothes.

What rights does he have to care for her now? Was he taking her as a playfool?*(Someone who intentionally let the opponent take advantage and win in the game).

Jax got furious to see her acting stubborn. "Keep this behavior for another day." he got off the bed and placed his hands on her shoulders and flipped her like a toy, her back was exposed to him now and the wound has healed a little. The ripped skin was closing though the red long mark was still there. He started licking again this time strongly grabbing her. His arms were wrapped around her; the way he was pinning her against the wall looked like he had forgotten his hatred against her.

"When you left to get the carriage, I received a strange call." She took some courage to speak. Jax stopped to hear this.

"He said he is a vampire and if I dared to mate you, I will be the one losing ends. He claimed that the Calum family would be destroyed without leaving a single person alive. I thought that it was a prank call." Though he loosened his grip she didn't move to see his expressions.

Prank calls were normal especially among the graduates; they mostly know each other's landline and use voice mock to make a fake call.

Such a type of threatening call was expected from those who lost their grades against other candidates. It turned out the truth and she became the suspected. "Did you see the number?" Jax asked.

From his tone, it was difficult to tell what he was thinking. "It was blank, no number was showing," Lala uttered while keeping the rough clothing to remain in place. The bareback of the girl still bears the small wound and the mark. He started passionately licking; he did not know why he was doing this. As soon as the mark of the wound disappeared he left the servant lodge.

Lala was surprised that he did not blame her for speaking lies. She then placed her hand on the ripped skin which was stinging a few minutes ago and it was completely healed. A dress was placed on the side table; she closed the door and changed.

Jax Calum called his housekeeper immediately and told him to change the duties of the female slave, from now on she will work as a female maid in the mansion.

The housekeeper made a list of her new duties, it was to mop the floors of the whole mansion, look after all those plants placed inside the mansion and wash the clothes of the male and female staff of the mansion.

The curtains and the clothes worn by the master were washed by another senior maid and her assistant. Lala was thankful when the list of the chores was handed to her though it would tarnish the softness of her hands. It was a lot better than fetching water and cleaning the stable.

Jax himself went toward the study of his late father. His father was a Lord and might have offended many low-keys and it was also possible that one of them turned out to be a maniac or he seriously disliked the Calum family. His father must have a record about those who were under his strict list or those who were reported to the Lord Court for their wrongdoings. The evening fell and the lamps of the mansion lit one by one. The damp and cold weather was as usual part of the Woodland and it seemed whispering today as to what the whispers say was unknown.

The shadows lurking in the Woodland turned gloomy some time or silent the next moment. Then it howled with utmost hatred and anger in the middle of the night and Lala woke up with the fear.

She wiped the sweat from her forehead and drank some water patting her throbbing heart. Since she was not a preferred maid so she had to share her lodge with another maid and fortunately it was the same girl who had a soft corner for her in her heart. Seeing that she was scared of a nightmare, she did not complain about the lit lamp. She came near Lala and gave some water. Lala gulped the whole water.
