1 Chapter 01: A New Beginning
In a void, a little light could be seen wandering aimlessly. Upon closer inspection the light vaguely resembles a human body but without any eyes nor ears.
"Why is it so dark ?", questioned the light
"Why can't i see anything" the light continued to question
"I can't sense anything, am I dead ?" the figure realised slowly
"The last thing that I saw was a blinding blue light that came from the sky, it must have been an attack from one of these accursed Shinigami"
"It doesn't matter that I am dead. I killed plenty of these monsters, I've brought death and pestilence to these usurpers, the world should have been ours from the beginning not to these betrayers like His Majesty said"
The light started to try to find an exit, navigating randomly inside this world of pure darkness.
After an indefinite period of time, the figure started to get agitated.
"This is so boring, I have navigated inside of this void for how long since I came here ? It seems to have been an eternity already ! " exclaimed the figure
Compared to before the figure seems to be far more anchored into the void, he emits far less light than before,there is a line where his eyes should be and now he has ears.
"Arghhhh!" the light screamed and thrashed violently around
Then suddenly, the figure experienced pain far beyond anything he has ever felt, he felt like something was piercing him from the back,he knows this pain, he already felt it in his life but never with an intensity this big, it was the pain of an arrow piercing through him without a doubt, but this time the arrow seemed to pulverize everything inside of him. The pain continued for the light and after nothing, he couldn't even mutter a word, nothing seemed to come out of his mouth.
And then an influx of information came directly to his mind. It seemed to take the form of a letter, the figure was shocked because only the most elite of Quincy had the privilege of receiving a letter from His Majesty himself.These letters are called "Shrift" and are without a doubt the strongest power a Quincy can possess. Each one of these letters can give unimaginable power to each of the Stern Ritter.
"I c-can see now," the figure said, his voice weak after the excruciating pain that he was subjected to just a moment before.
'But why can I see now ? there is no logical explanation for why I couldn't see before, hell I couldn't even sense a particule of reishi within this space, how is this possible ? ' the figure wondered
'While I am not Lord Quilge, I am still one of the best users of reishi particles of the entire Army so why can't I sense anything ? '
'Is it possible that I am inside a dimension without any reishi? How is this possible ?
it would mean that I am outside of the three realms that compose our universe '.
Suddenly a blinding light engulfed the figure and when the lights dimmed, the figure was nowhere to be found.
Inside a clearing an enormous blue pillar erupted from the ground,the birds scared by this sudden outburst started to fly in panic far away from it.The pillar scorched the ground and started a wildfire all around it, after five seconds the pillar and the blue flame disappeared, at the center of the now extinct pillar, lies a man, clad in a white bodysuit with a mask and a cape with the Quincy cross on it.
'Where am I ?' the man wondered 'this is not Soul Society nor Silbern for the concentration of reishi in the air is so poor'
'My arrival seems to have not been a quiet one huh?' the man said looking around
'The clearing must have been quite the place before it all burned away' the Quincy thought a bit sad
After a bit, the Quincy extended his senses through the Reishi particle around him to see if there wasn't an enemy around that was preparing to ambush him with the cover of what remained of the clearing , after detecting no life form dangerous enough to even pierce his Blut Vene he retracted his senses back to normal.
'It's hard' commented the Quincy .'With this level of Reishi I can't even sense enemies that are more than 3 kilometers away. That's a bit sad to see'
After the fast scan that he made of the surroundings, he came to a little stream of water that coursed through what remained of the clearing.
'So I stayed the same ? Interesting,' commented the man. 'But I seem to have the Arrancar Army gear on me, strange, I don't remember ever dressing in this, so now let's see if my face changed'
The man reached for his helmet and slowly lifted it from his head, at the place of the helmet appeared a handsome man with short red hair and green eyes
'The same face too, perfect,' He quickly put the helmet back on, it is strange for a Quincy under the Stern Ritter level to not have a helmet permanently on them on missions.
'So now, let's see what letter did I get from His Majesty' the figure said before closing his eyes and entering his own soul
Everything changed around the man, the clearing became a throne room of immaculate white and darkness all around it, a figure clad in a standart quincy uniform but with a crimson cape on his shoulders was seated on the throne. The middle aged man looked happy with a faint smile etched on his face.
"Your Majesty" said the man kneeling before the person on the throne
The figure seated on the throne was the Emperor of the Wandenreich and the Father of all the Quincy in the world, Yhwach, his majesty led the rebellion against the Soul Society one thousands years back then and restarted the Thousand Year Blood War this year to finally destroy the Soul Society and bring forth a new world for his Chosen Children.
At the time the figure was still alive, the Quincy surpassed the shinigami by a large margin and His Majesty even killed the leader of the Gotei 13 Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni during the first invasion of the war, thus offering the Soul Society to his children to finish the job that he started a thousand year prior.
"Friedrich, my child, do you know where you are ?" said Yhwach
"Yes your Majesty, this is the room that you crafted inside my soul with the Shrift that you gave me" Friedrich responded slowly, measuring each word carefully for he knows that his Majesty is not a patient person and doesn't forgive any weakness nor oversight.
"Indeed, now I will not take long for time's a precious resource, you inherited not one of my shrift but a batch of them, but your soul is too weak to wield all of them at the same time, for now the only one that you can wield is the W-the Wind, this power allow the user to twist everything in the range of 10 meters of the body of the user "
"Now child, go for the time of this dimension has stopped, maintaining it will strain your soul"
"Yes, your Majesty" said Friedrich before getting up from his kneeling position.
Soon after the dimension shifted once again and Friedrich was back in the clearing.
"The Wind, what a terrifying power, well, let's test it first !" said the newly appointed Stern Ritter excitedly before walking toward some trees.
Friedrich Pov:
I stood here, at approximately 2 meters of the first tree that I came across
"Let's see how strong is the Wind " I said before channeling the foreign energy in my body toward two of my finger, all it took was less than a second to channel the energy and I swiped from right to left, the space twisted along with the tree and finally cut the tree in half.
'Surprisingly easy to use and destructive, never in my life I could have dreamt of using a Shrift, now let's put my energy to test '
Now instead of channeling the energy to my fingers, I let the energy flow out of me and form a protective barrier around me
'Let's extend it !' I extended the shield to 10 meters twisting all in it's path
'The consumption is too large for me to have it permanently at 10 meters but if I shrink it at 0.5 meters like the last owner did ,at the pace my energy is depleting ,I can have it for 10 hours straight without breaking a sweat, this is so strong, as long as nobody can bypass these 0.5 meters I am invincible '
'Now let's test the other powers that I have as a normal Quincy'
I jumped using Blut Arterie, greatly enhancing my strength and using this momentum I punched a tree that was near me. This punch destroyed the tree at the impact, my fist wasn't even slightly injured despite the strength that I put behind my fist.
After testing Blut, I decided to test my bow creation with the reishi in the atmosphere, I dropped the Quincy cross that I had hidden inside of my glove and channeled the atmospheric reishi inside, I guided it to resemble a standart Quincy bow and generated an arrow and launched it, the strength behind the arrow made it pierce 2 trees like it was butter and I made my arrow detonate after the 2nd tree was pierced making a little explosion destroying all the tree around the detonation.
'This arrow is still quite strong despite the low reishi, is this linked to my Shrift ?' I mused 'So let's try to find a city first and find if the inhabitants of this realm are even human to begin with'
'Thirty minutes to come out of the forest,could have been better, I hope I find traces of civilization before night, I don't want to sleep like I slept during the training for the Army' I thought reminiscing about the past.
However, what troubles me is this bizarre thing in the sky, like a hole looking at me. It's very strange and I can sense an enormous amount of energy in this. Who could create such a thing in this realm ? I think the Visionary of the Empire can create this if he used his intelligence for a bit, but the Visionary and intelligence don't love each other very much it seems.
After a bit I arrived at a crossroad where one of the sign said "Lyon"
"Am I in France ? But I thought that I was in another realm altogether " I mused for a while but ultimately I decided to continue on this road, after all seeing the state of the road I don't think I am in my timeline anymore, this seems to be a road of Roman origin with a bit of renovation.
I continued for a while when finally I saw a strange dot on the horizon getting closer
"No bird can be this big, is this a hollow ? but I don't sense any spiritual pressure" I questioned for a bit before starting to generate my bow and waiting for it to come closer to see if this dot was hostile or not.
Then when the dot was at around 200 meters, my eyes picked up what this dot was, the beast was some manner of dragon, it was looking straight at me with a bloodlust worthy of a beast but there was no wisdom in these eyes.
"I am in France and there is a dragon, did the West Branch of the Soul Society have a breach ? " I asked myself not expecting any answer, but now that I know that this beast see me as food, I can just kill it without problem
Then I armed my bow with a reishi arrow and fired it , the arrow generating wind pressure and going like a comet, the dragon tried to dodge but he was too slow, the arrow hit him right in the head and going through the scales of the "dragon" like going through butter, then the dragon went diving for the ground and finally reached it and crashed violently,dead .
'Was this thing truly a dragon ? I was told that dragon were quite hard to kill but this beast went down pretty easily' I though quite happy that a hard fight could be avoided, because i am not allowed to waste my energy on pointless fight,
In a foreign land without any knowledge of the inhabitants and no friends to speak of, a not so strong reishi is present in the atmosphere, that's better than none but still.
"Well" I said quite thrilled for the prospect of adventure "that could have been worse, I still got a Shrift, I just have to find an entry for the Wandenreich and I could reunite with my brethren and go back to the Soul Society to end these Shinigami" I said looking at my Quincy cross.

Sorry for my not so good English, it's my third language so it's a bit hard to write in it, I wanted to make this little crossover for a bit so I decided to write about it.
