25 The War for the France Part- Prologue

3rd Pov
The days passed slowly, Ritsuka's team started preparing for the war, meanwhile, Jalter's servants continued with their rampage which cost the lives of hundreds of people, yes only hundreds as Ritsuka's team managed to save a lot of the people, helping them to escape to safety.
It angered Jalter to no end but it also made her excited for the final fight, on how she will crush them entirely, see their beautiful faces of despair before finishing them all, and then continue with destroying France. Jeanne and Georgios finished healing up Siegfried, the Dragon slayer who made a contract with the Ritsuka Fujimaru, this time considering the situation Dr. Romani let Ritsuka make a fifth contract, and while his body has adapted quite a bit after all of these days the strain on his body remained.
Making another contract came at the cost of Ritsuka feeling constant pain and stress in his body, but gritting his teeth for the future of Humanity he bore this intense pain earning the respect of all of the servants present, Elizabeth including who didn't like him even a bit, but after seeing his conviction even she was impressed.
So while, Ritsuka's gang trained and prepared for the battle, on the other hand, Jalter enjoyed lavishing feasts bestowed by the God of the Gods himself, her servants half of which disliked her got to enjoy the same treatment as well. Just like this three weeks passed and Ritsuka's team was all ready for the finale.
" It is going to be a nightmare to win this", said Ritsuka looking at the Castle in front of him," We will win this senpai!", said Mash as she came beside him, Siegfried smiled and putting his hand on his shoulder said," You can count on me to slay that Dragon", Jeanne smiled and answered," Me too!".
" Now can we stop talking and get over with this already", said Elizabeth grumbling, Kiyohime waved her Japanese fan with a smirk on her face," Watch me properly frill-necked Lizard, I will show you how a real dragon does its job", veins appeared on her forehead hearing that, she glared at the latter and said," Are you picking up a fight?!".
Kiyohime grinned and spoke nothing, it only fueled her anger against Elizabeth," Answer me!!", suddenly Marie came between them, she looked at both of them," Stop it you two! It is not the time to fight between us, doing so will only weaken us let's focus on our objective", they grunted and nodded," Fine", they replied simultaneously.
"It's time to show them the true powers of lovers", Marie said with a serious face, Wolfgang behind her smiled hearing that and nodded," Guys! You have got this!", said Leonardo from the comms, Romani sitting beside her had a depressed face," It's over, all over", he muttered. Leonardo gave him a jab knocking him from his table," Why did you do this?!", he shouted in annoyance and pain, she sighed and gave him a hand," Stop with this and do your job as Commander!", she said.
He sighed hearing her words, he took her hand and got back on the table, standing up he said," Very Well, Ritsuka! Mash! Listen to me carefully! If you think it is too much for you then retreat without any hesitation, also we are ready to rayshift if the situation arises!", Ritsuka shook his head and said," Dr. I don't think this is a war from which we can retreat".
He sighed in helplessness hearing that, his visions from all of these years never showed Poseidon, and neither did now, so he had a really bad feeling about him. He smiled and said," Fine, go ahead I will do my best to assist you all from here", they nodded and Ritsuka said," Let's begin now!".
Thus all of them ran toward the castle, meanwhile from the inside Jalter laughed maniacally, she stood beside the Poseidon who was seated on his Throne looking at the Ritsuka's team on a Holographic screen in front of him, "Pftt... Hahahah... Di- Did you hear them, My Lord? I want to vomit after hearing their passionate and useless words, seriously what with those looks on their faces?! They think they will win this!! Pathetic weaklings! I will show them the consequences of going against me!!".
Poseidon calmly asked her," Do you think you can win this?", she stopped, then looked at him with a confident look bowed lightly, and replied," Without any doubt", he smiled and said," Then go ahead and show me what you have got", she nodded and said," Then let me show you a battle which will surely entertain you, My Lord". Then she left the room ready to face Ritsuka and the servants.

Poseidon Pov
Arrogance is what I saw on her face while she talked with me, she is so confident that she will win this, she believes she will decimate them absolutely into smithereens, I can see my past self in her, so overconfident, arrogant believing there is no way she can lose. ' System what is your opinion on this? ', I asked it.
[Master, her chances of winning after being granted your summons are as high as 20%], it replied.
I looked at the screen with an amused smile,' Protagonist privileges huh? ', I asked again.
[Yes, Master, he is someone whom you will consider a protagonist, and to be honest, they are extremely rare in Fateverse considering this world's will plays no favorite and treats everyone equally, considering her survival the utmost priority, thus he isn't a common Protagonist chosen by World's will but rather a rare protagonist directly choose from Fate itself], System replied.
' Fate, Destiny, they are some interesting and mysterious things, even to me who is free from such shackles, let me ask you system, who is more powerful, a Protagonist chosen by the world or by Fate? ', I asked him.
[Master, in normal circumstances the strongest ones are those chosen by both world and fate to be protagonist, though such chances are extremely rare, the second strongest will be the Protagonist chosen by the world's will or heaven's will depending on the type of the Universe, and weakest will be the Protagonist chosen by the Fate.], system replied.
Its response surprised me a bit since I thought a protagonist chosen by Fate will be the strongest one, but it is opposite of what I expected surprisingly. I asked it again,' Interesting, can you explain it in detail? '.
[Master, a protagonist chosen by both the world and Fate, is the strongest one obviously, you can consider them as those OP reincarnated protagonists who always have everything easy and hide their real power for braindead reasons, a Hero reborn, a Demon King Reborn, and Immortal reborn are an example of this. They might also possess the second, third, or fourth type of system that I discussed earlier.
The second type of Protagonist will be the world's chosen one and the reason they are stronger than the ones chosen by Fate only, as they get help directly from the world, a normal person reincarnated in the cultivation world and getting a secret inheritance or a normal person reincarnated in a fantasy world, getting Hero's sword, Demon King's inheritance is an example of this. They might possess the second or third type of system.
The third and the weakest type of Protagonist will be Fate's chosen one, the reason they are weakest is unlike the world's will which gives preferential to its chosen one, meanwhile, fate other than giving them good luck and opportunities does nothing, normally this type of protagonist struggles a lot even if his chances of dying are low.
A person reincarnating as a villain, villainess, or a side-character is an example of this, protagonists like Ritsuka are rare as such protagonists are mostly secondary Chosen ones in the world, they compete with the World's chosen one and have a chance of overthrowing them due to courtesy of being chosen by Fate themselves, in the long run, they prevail. They might have a second or third type of system.
Now comes the extra class of Protagonists, the ones chosen by Systems only, majority of these types of Protagonists are nothing but resources for Patristic systems to exploit and meanwhile they provide them with plot armor increasing the chances of their survival but in return give them bad luck and create a lot of unfavorable situations for them.
It is their way to earn maximum from exploiting their hosts, and this is all the types of Protagonists, master], system finished explaining.
I nodded satisfied with the info system provided me, then I turned my focus on the screen interested in how it will play out, Ritsuka can be considered very weak as an actual Protagonist but the fact that he is still alive after making a contract with five servants speaks volumes about his luck.
At any other 1st rate Mage would have kicked the bucket a long time ago from having even 3 contracts, but this guy is proving himself to be a vigorous cockroach still alive from what would have killed any other Mage. Also, since the chances of Jalter losing are very high I think it would prove a valuable lesson to her, she is underestimating her enemy something which I have done myself in the past.
The result itself was obvious, I lost, miserably losing two of my limbs, if I had gone 100% out from the start then Kojiro would have been the one banished to Niflhel, thankfully I got the second chance but Jalter won't be that lucky, thus the sooner she learns of this fact better for her, also I am waiting for the army of Humans to appear to go into action.
Georgios isn't with them like the original, and he has gone to gather the remaining army of France under the banner of the living Gilles to help Ritsuka's team in their battle against Jalter. It's better this way as instead of me moving everywhere to kill herds of humans one by one, thousands will be here instead ready for their lives to be harvested by me.
A smile formed on my face thinking about it, I decided to view my status one last time before the war starts. ' Status ', I thought in my mind and a holographic screen appeared in front of my eyes.

'Nice' I thought glancing at my status screen, closing it I looked at the screen and thought,' Finally it's starting '. I could see Jalter dragging Jeanne's mother by her hair, it seems things are going to be more interesting than I assumed to be.

3rd Pov
" They are here", muttered Jeanne in a defensive form looking at the servants before them," It seems all of you weaklings are here!", they heard a loud voice and looked above to see Jalter holding a woman by the hair, Jeanne's eyes widened seeing the woman and she shouted," Mother!!". Others looked surprised by such a turn of events.
" She is Jeanne's mother?", muttered Mash shocked, they looked above to see Jalter smiling sadistically holding Isabelle, she grins and said," Surprise", Jeanne looks in shock and muttered," Ho-How?", Jalter's smile widened as she said," What is with that pathetic look?! Don't tell me you thought I killed her?! Oh even if pathetic she is our mother right?! I can't kill her, and I have brought her to let her see herself who is a better daughter than two of us!!".
"Ja-Janet", Isabelle muttered looking at Jeanne below the castle in surprise, then she glanced at Jalter surprised at how two of her daughters can be, she had some suspicions since Jalter had kidnapped her.
At first, she tried talking with her extremely glad to see her alive, but Jalter didn't respond in kind and insulted her, shocked by her own daughter's outburst at her she considered herself to be a failure of a mother, saddened by her daughter's changes and the atrocities she committed.
After that, Jalter held her prisoned giving her food and Water regularly and she only met her again today, she was surprised and happy wanting to reconcile with her daughter, hold her gently in her bosom and cry out all her apologies for abandoning her, for not being with her when she need her the most.
But instead without getting a chance Jalter dragged her by her hair, she kept struggling in pain the entire way, and seeing that Jeanne below the castle looked 100% similar to Jeanne she knew a realization hit her, she gritted her teeth and shouted at Jalter," Yo-You isn't my daughter!", suddenly she bit on Jalter hand causing the grip of Jalter on her hair to weaken and taking the chance of the moment she got freed from Jalter's gasp and coming at the corner shouted," Janet!!".
"Mother!!", shouted Jeanne, next moment before her eyes Jalter kicked Isabelle," No!!!!", she shouted horrified as Jalter pushed her head into the wall injuring her forehead, then by hair she held her in the air," My J-Jan-", she fell unconscious, blood could be seen dripping from her forehead, Jalter said," F*cking b*tch! I kept you alive and yet you have gals to disobey me!".
Ritsuka and others gasped in horror seeing the state of Isabelle," Thi-This", muttered Mash with shock, Jeanne was the one who took the biggest hit, her entire body trembled as she gritted her teeth, she looked directly into the eyes of the Jalter and said," Im-Impossible, yo-you hurt my mother! Yo-You aren't me! I can never hurt my mother!", rage could be seen on her face.
(A/N: Jalter this time managed to make Jeanne angry for real, in the original Jeanne felt sad for Jalter who killed Isabelle having no memory of her mother, but in this, she did something to even make Jeanne genuinely angry)
Jalter grinned and said," Is that so? Why don't you check yourself it then?", Jeanne became even angrier hearing that," Miss Jeanne", muttered Ritsuka in fear seeing the state of Jeanne, who calmed herself down hearing his voice," Don't worry Master, I won't do anything stupid to jeopardize our mission, I will make her pay for what she did to my mother!".
Hearing that everyone nodded, Ritsuka smiled and said," I will support you Jeanne!", Jalter snapped her finger as a hoard of Angels appeared before their eyes," Not them again!", said Elizabeth, Jeanne walked forward in front of them and said," Master! Everyone I will handle them!".
" Are you really sure Miss Jeanne?", asked Ritsuka, Jeanne nodded, and Romani said in the comms," Ritsuka let her handle those beings, they are Holy in Nature and from what we know they cause immense damage to Evil Aligned being, currently Miss Jeanne is the best match against them", Ritsuka persuaded by Romani nodded and said," Then I leave them to you, Jeanne".
She nodded with a serious face, and like Romani said she was the best match against these Angels, heck she can be considered overkill if one was to consider all things, unlike previously when she faced these Angels, her Spirit Origin has stabilized a lot and now she has a ready supply of Mana from Ritsuka.
Her Magical Resistance while not at the level of EX rank that she can achieve is A+ nonetheless, she is also neither an Evil-aligned being nor a neutral being, which makes her immune to the extra damage of these Angels, and on top of that she is a Saint possessing Saint Skill, and blessing from Yahweh himself, Holy energy can be said her friend rather than foe.
Thus, if anyone of the Ritsuka's servants can cause real damage to the highest tier Angels present then it is only Jeanne who has the chance of achieving this, and further boosted by the luck of the Protagonist it was obvious how much of an advantage she has, unfortunately, Jalter couldn't realize this fact.

Funnily enough, I wrote it before this fanfic and had it in store since then, my old readers might now this one, it was one of the main fanfic that I had planned to write since the beginning and my Marvel fic was a practise one for this one.
I had planned to store 100 chapters before releasing it but my current situation would be delaying it for a long time, so should I release it?
It is a Mha Fanfic, and it's name is Replacing Rimuru, a Multiverse story, it is strictly a Non-Harem Fanfic by the way. So any idea guys?
