1 Fate of Asertia: Tales of Genesis. (Prologue)

In the year 547, Asertia was terrorized by DEATH, an unknown entity, some say he is one above all Gods. Human, Elf, Dwarf together with monster race Vampire, Werewolf, Ogre, and Beast kin fighting for their lives. For 100 years fighting with no hope, DEATH cannot be defeated. Gods are not allowed to interfere with any situation on Asertia, because the rule from Almighty God Harbfer made it at the beginning of time.

There is a place called Garden of Eden above Asertia created by Harbfer with infinite Mana as its source. So Gods and Goddesses with all their might can only create 3 immortal beings in there, with the power that can kill a god. A twin, Edith and Aiden, and their older sister Arches, with their purposes, are to prevent DEATH, protect Asertia and all the creatures in it. The Gods know it is not enough to put the responsibilities only to 3 of them. So Gods also asked the Demon Kin. The ruler of the Underworld, Demon King Anarc. He came to the Garden of Eden with an immortal being, her name is Cipher. Demon Lords also gave their best and can create 1 immortal being with the Gods helping them, they created Vexar. Before they about to send them to earth, Harbfer also brought an immortal being with the power that can even kill Gods by himself. His name is Zest. Then they called the group of immortal beings, Genesis. Harbfer and the Gods with Demon King & Lords agreed to choose Zest as the leader of the Genesis. They gave them knowledge before they sent them down to Asertia.

Zest as The Judgment and master of all. Harbfer gave him 8 Rings, each of the rings contain a weapon (Sword, Axe, Scythe, Dagger, Rapier, Spear, Halberd, Bow). Each weapon is indestructible and can cut and penetrate anything like cutting air because it was made by Harbfer himself imbued with mighty elements (Water, Wind, Darkness, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Earth, Holy)

Edith as The Priestess of the Gods, blessed by the Gods with a book called Brimgar as a vessel for Angel General Seraphim, that can heal any wounds, revive the dead, and protect her from all harm, and a silver staff called Haringar as a vessel for Angel General Michael that can punish and judge all creatures without exception with all his might.

Aiden is God's Strength, blessed by the Gods with Almighty power that can destroy a mountain to dust with his fist and a heart made from eternal flame that can melt anything around him if he wants to, The stronger his will the more power he can get. his strength alone equal to all the Gods combined.

Arches as The Fortune of the Goddesses, blessed by the Gods with all the elder and high spirits on her that can bring joy, happiness, and peace, even fear to all the people around her. She is given by Gods a Bow and an Arrow called Safyr, that can penetrate anything with ease, and a Harp by the Goddesses, it's called Echord that can enhance all kind of strength of her allies with no limitation and petrify or even kill all enemies instantly if they hear the melody of the harp if she wants to.

Vexar as a The Fool Wizard, cursed by the Demon Lords with high intelligence and foresight with the cost of his sanity and blessed by the Gods with infinite Mana from The Garden of Eden. He's given by Demon Lords a black staff with an Eye on top of it made by the hell's core that forged in the deepest of hell that can do all kind of magic from ultimate - disaster - calamity - doom class, the staff called Amburg. He alone can destroy Asertia in one night if he wants to.

Cipher as The Demon Empress, cursed by the Demon King with strength almost equal to Aiden and a Dead Eye that can read people's mind and destroy their mind with just a look, with the cost of her body to feel 100 times more pain than normal people, and blessed with Instant Regeneration. She is given by Demon King a Sword made from Bones and powers of the ancestors of the Demon King, Almost equal with Herbfer weapon called Grave, and a Shield given by Gods that can nullify all physical and magical attack including all attack from the other Genesis called Horgarn. She's the second strongest Genesis of all.

Genesis swore to Gods, Goddesses, Demon King and Demon Lords, and Harbfer to fulfill their duty. Zest as the leader swore that he will keep the other Genesis doing the right thing and keep them together. After all that, they send Genesis to Asertia.

20 years have passed, Genesis did what they told, protecting all the people from DEATH's army, and gained the trust of each race, giving them hope. They are starting to like Asertia, the people, the culture. Like a child that going outside for the first time. They travel around Asertia, interacting with all races, bringing happiness and joy to all. Until each of the Genesis members lead each race to face DEATH.

70 years have passed, DEATH is around the corner, with lots of sacrifices and hard path, from the old Kings to the new Kings, from their fathers to their sons. Finally, they all are ready to meet DEATH. When they're about to fight DEATH, a huge portal came and there he is, DEATH is in front of everyone. A huge black cloth flying as big as a mountain, he then spoke to them.

"I am DEATH, the ruler of the world. I am Harbfer."

The silence, the face of shock, disbelief those people make, their body is trembling with fear. The Genesis stood there in silence, thinking about what DEATH said. Zest stood there looking at the flying black cloth, with anger in his eyes. Feeling betrayed, played by the God who created him, they charged into the battle. Few days have passed, almost a one-sided fight, Harbfer got heavily injured from Genesis attacks, but Harbfer killed hundreds of thousand men in a blink of an eye, all they have left are the 13 Rulers and Genesis and an army with only 1200 men. Harbfer said.

"I've done for what I came for. 13 Rulers of the Asertia and Genesis as the witnesses of my power. I, Harbfer will no longer be your God, I will be the DEATH of Asertia and I will always be here and take what I created, there will be no peace in Asertia. Until we meet again, Farewell".

With that, the big black cloth disappeared. The 13 Rulers stood there in silence, looking at the sky, and left with a scar, fear is written on their faces and millions of questions in their heads, but one thing for sure is, Asertia will be gone from this world soon, and nobody can save it. As for Genesis, they go back to The Garden of Eden with anger, they fought the Gods who created them. Zest stops them as soon as the other Genesis planning to kill the Gods because he knew the other Gods aren't in the part of Harbfer's scheme, they only obey Harbfer because he's above them. Zest said,

"Now we are not going to serve you all anymore, we're not your toys anymore, and we will live on our own. Remember, we are made with the power to kill a God, so don't you all dare to do something suspicious behind us, but we will still protect Asertia, and no matter what, we will fight DEATH until the end on time because we love Asertia and all the creatures in it."

The Gods agreed but with one condition, they said.

"We will also help to keep Asertia at peace and safe. Bring the 13 Rulers of Asertia to The Garden of Eden, to pledge their lives to rule Asertia with peace and be our vice in Asertia, but in returns, Genesis, you all will be their observer until the end of time and Zest will be the judgment to those who disobey or break their pledge".

That being said, Genesis agreed with the condition and go down to Asertia to send the invitation to the 13 Rulers of Asertia. As promised Genesis brought the 13 rulers which are 9 Kings and 4 Queens that were in the battle with DEATH.

The 13 Rulers are:

1. Vyette Levias from Variel, King of Dark Elves.

2. Kseniya Elena from Silvae, Queen of Wood Elves.

3. Doglas Brigantine from Pelias, King of Dwarves.

4. Faeris Holiver from Furte, Queen of Faeries.

5. Gregor Hisbas from Howark, King of Ogres.

6. Hibram Gibbes from Jaque, King of Beast Kin.

7. Alvester Crucifix from Vilestein, Lord of Vampire.

8. Wolfner Howler from Damas, King of Werewolves.

9. King Kristoff Everwill from the Everwill Kingdom.

10. King Anders Lovelace from the Lovelace Kingdom.

11. King Trevor Sterling from the Sterling Kingdom.

12. Queen Annelise Victoria from the Victoria Kingdom.

13. Queen Leyrine Averyne from the Averyne Kingdom.

The 13 Kings and Queens pledge their life and their offspring to fulfill their duty as the Kings and Queens in Asertia, and so Genesis chooses which King and Queen they will observe from generation to generation, and to prepare to fight DEATH when the time comes.

Arches will observe:

1. Dark Elves King from Variel.

2. Wood Elves Queen from Silvae.

3. Faeries Queen from Furte.

Edith will observe:

1. the Victoria Kingdom.

2. Averyne Kingdom.

Aiden will observe:

1. King of the Dwarves.

2. King of the Ogre.

3. King of the Beast Kin.

Vexar will observe:

1. Lord of the Vampire.

2. King of the Werewolves.

Zest will observe:

1. Everwill Kingdom.

2. the Lovelace Kingdom.

3. the Sterling Kingdom.

Cipher became the Empress of the Underworld, so she protects Demon World. Her authority is higher than the Demon King and Demon Lords.

150 years have passed, all the Kings and Queens have been living together in peace, it was the most peaceful time ever in the past 500 years. Until all the Genesis went missing, some say they went somewhere far away together and live in peace because they put their trust in the Kings and Queens. After hearing such a rumor about it, all the Human Kingdoms started to wage wars with each other. Again, humans started killing each other over lands and gold. They ignored the pledge of their ancestors, and they never care about it.

Year 899 when chaos around all Kingdoms.

Zest came back with the rest of Genesis members behind his back, and he said.

"On the next moon, I, Zest the leader of Genesis and as the judgment will destroy all the Kingdoms who broke their pledge about keeping the peace in Asertia. Your ancestors pledge their lives and their children and their grandchildren until the last of their generation, we Genesis came to punish for your sins."

Such words alone enough to tremble the whole human Kingdoms, and yet they ignored it, there is not a single human soul that knows the power of the Genesis, only legends and myths. Faeries, Elves, Dwarves, Beast Kin, Vampire, and Werewolves just stay silent and watch the human Kingdoms that soon will fall, because they know how strong and powerful the members of Genesis are, and also a victim from the wars.

The kingdoms that broke their pledge are:

1. Kingdom of Sterling

2. Kingdom of Victoria

3. Kingdom of Everwill

The next moon as Zest said. He came, but before he begins to destroy Sterling's Kingdom, he said.

"The people that are innocent, and don't want to be part of this can go to Averyne's Kingdom with protection from Edith, or go to Lovelace's Kingdom with protection from Cipher."

On a single night, Sterling's Kingdom became an empty kingdom, what is left are their King and his 223.000 armies. Cavas Sterling the grandson of Trevor Sterling, arrogantly says.

"Zest, come and try. I'll slit your throat and use your head to feed the dogs also I'll take Edith and Cipher to be my sex slaves."

He laughed so hard that people outside the castle can hear it.

Zest stood there with no response and smile. As immortal beings made by Harbfer himself, he pulls his ring from his right index finger and becomes a Black shiny scythe that reflects the moon on its blade. He stabs the ground with his scythe and spawns a dark blue circle black hole on top of the castle. It's so big that it sucks the whole Sterling's Kingdom in an instant. No sound, No winds blowing, that's the last time the Sterling Kingdom was seen, now it's just a big chunk of land. The people that are watching stood there trembling with fear, some even pissed their pants, and some of them fainted. Not even looking back, Zest jump and fly to the next kingdom which is Victoria's Kingdom. Same as before, Zest sends a warning to the Victoria's Kingdom on the next moon he will destroy Victoria's Kingdom, those who are innocent can move to Averyne's Kingdom with the protection from Edith or go to the Lovelace's Kingdom with the protection from Cipher. On the next moon, surprisingly nobody is coming out from the kingdom, then a small child 8 years of age with a bag in her tiny hands, she is Hilda Victoria, Annelise's great-granddaughter.

She said,

"Master Zest, I know I broke the pledge that my great-grandmother did in the past, but Master Zest. I was powerless, my uncle ran the Kingdom behind my back, my voice is never been heard by the nobles and they only obey my uncle's order. I was a puppet this whole time. So here it is my uncle's head that I cut myself, and please accept my apologies. You can take my head as well because I still have a younger sister that can rule the Kingdom with my trusted advisor on her side."

With her blank expression and her hands still carrying her uncle's head. Before Zest about to pull a ring on his left middle finger, Edith came and said.

"Zest, I know Annelise and her way of life. She teaches her children with all her heart about Genesis and the pledge she made, being so strict and loving to her children. This is the proof and the results of it. This Kingdom has been dealing with corruption for more than hundreds of years. Annelise died from sickness because she never rests for her Kingdom to fight with corruption, so can you forgive this Kingdom for the sake of Annelise and her daughters and granddaughters?"

After hearing from Edith's Story, Zest looking at Cipher to testify Hilda's words using Dead Eye, and Cipher nod, then Zest smile, and speak to Hilda.

"I'll take this head of your uncle, and I will not take your life, as Edith said, I believe her. Now tell me, who are the people that were destroying the Kingdom you love?"

Hilda nod with tears running down her cheeks. Zest, Edith, Cipher, and Hilda go to her castle and talk about who is the culprit that has been destroying the Kingdom. They spent the whole night and Cipher believed what Hilda said. Early in the morning, the culprit and the nobles kneel in front of the castle's gate. With the people watching, Zest pulls the ring on his right ring finger. The ring became a glowing red blood color dagger. He starts to stab one of the culprits on his stomach, just the tip of the dagger. Slowly, his body melts and melts, the screaming of pain that nobody is ever heard, his guts starting to come out from his stomach and starting to melt as well. Slowly but surely, his whole body melted. Moving on to the next and so on until all of them melted with nothing is left. People that watching the whole thing making the same face as the one in the Sterling's Kingdom. Again with no words, Zest jump and fly to the next Kingdom, which is Everwill's Kingdom. And so Zest arrived at the Everwill's Kingdom, with a warning to them before he is destroying the Kingdom. Then an old man showed himself on top of the gate, he's Maise Everwill, Kristoff Everwill's youngest grandson. With a pale face and looking ill, he said.

"Master Zest, I heard what happened to Sterling's Kingdom and Victoria's Kingdom. I have no excuses for what I did, but can you spare two lives? This is my 6th wife, she is pregnant with my child, I've been trying to get a son my whole life, and finally, I have a son soon. I'm so happy that I can die with no regrets."

Suddenly Cipher whispering to Zest's ear then to Edith's ear, the three of them looking at the old pale and sick looking old man with concerns. Then Zest said.

"That's not your son, that's your wife and your butler's son, she's having affairs with your butler 6 months ago"

The old King was shocked, and fell on his knee, the wife panicking and didn't know what to do. Maise stares at his wife and told the guards to arrest her and the butler as well. Cipher ran and grabbed the wife before the guards arrest her. Zest and Edith stood there with confusion because Cipher is not the kind of person that would save someone, especially a human that she looked down on for no reason. Then Cipher ran back to Zest and Edith's side, and whisper to their ears.

Zest then asked Maise,

"What did you do to this woman?"

Maise was confused with that question and asked Zest.

"What do you mean Master Zest?"

Zest then clarify the situation and tell Maise,

"6 months ago you tied her up in your room and you had urgent business and you forgot about her and left her there, you left her starving and thirsty for 3 days. Your butler saw the opportunity and made her an offer that he would feed her every day in exchange for her body, someone that desperate would do anything to survive and that's what happened."

Maise stood there in silence. Then Zest said.

"Enough with the talk, I'll massacre your Kingdom for the violation of the pledge you broke, and for doing such a thing to this poor woman."

Zest pulls a ring on his left index finger. It becomes a bluish silver rapier, it steaming white smoke. When he put his rapier on the ground, the ground suddenly freeze. Then he slashes his rapier towards the Everwill's Kingdom, and suddenly the whole Kingdom froze with all the people in it and said.

"This is eternal ice. Nobody can break it nor melt it. It will be here forever till the end of time. This will be the proof for what you'll become if you broke the pledge."

After that, all the Genesis members went missing again, but the fear that Zest made towards the Sterling's Kingdom and Everwill's Kingdom will never be forgotten. That is the Tale of Genesis and Zest the Judgment also people called him, The Merciless.

100 years later. Genesis is still missing. Back again where are no humans souls know about Genesis. Even though nobody knows Genesis's whereabouts, each of the Kingdoms gave their crest that is only made for Genesis. They believe that Genesis is always watching them from far away. Some say they're in The Garden of Eden this whole time, some say 3 of the Genesis members are in Elves and Beast Kin and Vampire territory, some say they're wandering looking for a way to defeat DEATH. Asertia is still at peace because of the tragedy with Sterling's Kingdom also Everwill's Kingdom. Sterling's Family is still around. The great-grandson from Cavas Sterling's son now rules a small castle near the chunk of land, with the help of Lovelace's Kingdom and Victoria's Kingdom. Sadly for the Everwill family, they have no offspring and replaced by a new Kingdom, and the King is Fraser Bulark. He is the husband of the current Averyne's Queen and made his own kingdom. With the missing of Genesis, the Bulark family is not bound with the pledge yet, even though he's not bound with the pledge, Fraser is a trustworthy person. People around Asertia like him, even the monster race likes him. He was a commoner and an adventurer from a small village far east, called Crude. It became famous because Fraser Bulark never forgets about his hometown and donated his money to the village. The Village keeps growing and growing which attracts many adventurers to visit Crude Village.
