43 43. You mean "Our" Noble Phantasm

(A/N: I'll be re-writing the last part of the last chapter, starting when Lancer disappeared from Godrick. This chapter begins when Lancer disappears from Godrick.

I made a booboo on Sunday and decided that I wanted to change it, so I deleted the whole chapter before rethinking and posting it again about 10 minutes after. I'm sorry if this inconvenienced anyone and will be sure to not make this mistake again.

I just want to be 100% transparent with you all. Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and support. I appreciate each and every single one of you!)

–Godrick–

'Must have been teleported via Command Spell.' Godrick thought to himself as Lancer disappeared.

Reacting on instinct, Godrick suddenly reached up with his left arm to cover his helmet, as he felt an ax glance off his arm before it was brought back into his stomach.

The blow pushed Godrick back a step before he retaliated with a right haymaker that sent his attacker through a nearby brick wall.

Ivar emerged a moment later, shaking his head and bear skinned helmet of the dust that had collected on it.

"Ready for round two?" Ivar asked with a smirk, holding his ax with both hands at his waist. Lightning crackled as it covered his ax before spreading to his person.

Godrick summoned his halberd, dead set on killing Ivar this time, and not letting him escape.

"Come, Knight of Ruin!" Ivar shouted as he lunged forward, bringing his ax up and around his head before dropping it to the ground, swinging it in an uppercut.

Godrick raised his halberd up before swinging it downwards to meet Ivars uppercut.

Thunder rang out as the blades met each other, knocking the weapons away before they met a second, then a third time. As their weapons rebounded from each other a third time, Godrick rushed Ivar, throwing his left shoulder into the man's chest before whipping his halberd around to strike Ivars left arm.

A loud crack was heard, followed by a shout of pain by Ivar as he was thrown to his right, rolling on the ground. He came to a stop and looked up, only to see Godrick standing above him, helmet covered in the shadow of his raised halberd, ready to bring it down on him.

With a shout, Ivar brought his ax up to defend himself, but Godricks strike overpowered him.

The blades met once more, but Godricks hit Ivars by the flat of the blade, driving the other side into Ivars chest, burying him into the ground.

Again Godrick raised his halberd to deliver the finishing blow, but a burst of lightning to the chest made him take a step back.

Ivar stood with the help of his lightning as if it were a physical object, thrusting his left hand forward to pour it all out against Godrick.

To his surprise, Godrick only took another step back before raising his halberd high into the air, lightning still coursing across his entire body.

The halberd cut through the air as Godrick brought it down, taking Ivar's left hand at the forearm before bringing it back to smash Ivar in the face with the side that held the hammer.

Blood poured from Ivar's mouth as he crashed through multiple buildings, finally coming to a stop as he smashed through a stone wall.

He slowly sat up after a moment, seeing the Juggernaut had appeared before him once more. He could see his icy blue eyes flash in the slits of his helmet as he slowly walked towards the downed servant like a reaper.

"No, not yet." Ivar said as he tried to get to his feet, but a swift kick from the Juggernaut stopped him, sending him crashing back into another building.

Using this moment, Ivar got back to his feet weakly and started running away from the Juggernaut.

Godrick narrowed his eyes at the berserker. Nothing made sense. Why was he running? Didn't he want an honorable death? If so, he wouldn't run away.

Remembering what Harold had taught him about the Norsemen, and everything this man did was the exact opposite of what Harald said.

'Is he a fake?' Godrick asked himself as he pursued Ivar through the buildings and streets.

The two servants played cat and mouse for the better part of ten minutes, before a particularly nasty shoulder charge from Godrick sent Ivar through another building into a courtyard where Godrick could feel two other servants fighting.

He didn't care, if they got in his way, he would deal with them.

Godrick burst through the building into the courtyard where he felt a Noble Phantasm being used, and saw the familiar crystal red spear of Lancer pass him by, presumably targeted at the servant who he was fighting.

Seeing this, Godrick reached out with his left hand, and gripped the spear in its Phantasmal form, absorbing its energy. He held it by the butt end as it passed him by, grabbing the middle of the shaft with his right, and bringing it down on Ivar, who was getting to his feet. Ivar brought his ax up to deflect the blow, making the spear glance off the head of his weapon.

The spear seemed to struggle out of Godricks hands, but he clamped down on the weapon, bringing it back up to strike Ivars injured arm, leaving a long cut up his bicep.

Striking out with the butt end, Godrick clipped Ivars right knee, breaking it and making him fall to one knee before bringing it back to smash into his chest, sending Ivar to the ground.

Lancer appeared before Godrick, gripping the head of his spear before driving his foot into the Juggernauts face. Godrick reached up with his left hand and grabbed Lancers's foot before pulling him towards himself, releasing the foot, and smashing down with the same hand, burying him in the ground.

Ivar was up again, this time slashing down at Godrick with his ax.

Dropping the crystal spear, Godrick reached up and caught the ax with his right hand, before bringing his left up into Ivars stomach, while simultaneously ripping the ax from his grip.

As Ivar doubled over from the uppercut, Godrick brought the ax back up into his face, striking him with the flat of the blade, sending him crashing into one of the buildings.

The third servant had seemed to want to stay out of Godrick's fight, so Godrick didn't even look at them while he dealt with the two in front of him.

Lancer was back up, stabbing at Godrick, but the spear glanced off of Godricks left hand before he drove his left shoulder into the servant, driving him back.

Lancer was knocked back, grabbing his spear with both hands to mount a counter attack before Godrick reached out with the ax and hooked it's blade with the shaft of the spear.

The Juggernaut then lifted Lancer into the air by the spear, and threw him into Ivar's emerging form, sending both back into the building.

The two servants blitzed from the building before Lancer was caught by the neck, and had his spear ripped from him before it was buried into Ivar's side.

The berserker was able to dodge at the last moment before the spear struck his chest, instead letting it go through his side.

Godrick, having grabbed Lancer by the neck, threw him into Ivar, sending the two of them spilling into the center of the courtyard.

Still ignoring the third servant, Godrick walked over and stomped down on Ivar's chest once more, cracking the ground around him before ripping the spear from his side and casting it away.

Summoning his halberd, Godrick raised it into the air to execute the rogue servant before a voice he had hoped he would hear again stopped him.

"Godrick?"

Whipping his head around, he looked at the third servants who he had been ignoring.

–Artoria–

She had just been summoned, and now she was fighting the Lancer. They had traded blows and were equally matched, and if anything, she was superior.

Looking at her opponent, she saw the Lancer take a peculiar stance, with his spear head held low. The two of them traded insults, as was custom between warriors.

Crimson power enveloped the spear as he prepared to throw it, and with a mighty heave, he did just that.

"GAE BOLG"

A moment later, the concrete wall to their left shattered as another servant came crashing into the courtyard before stopping on the far right side. A second figure came from the same wall, and grabbed Lancers Noble Phantasm out of the air before smashing it into the first servant.

She didn't get a good look at the first servant who came through the wall, but the second servant was a massive knight in familiar armor, though certain aspects of it had changed.

The knight relentlessly beat the first servant with Gae Bolg, and when Lancer tried to get his spear back, he was beaten as well.

She knew this Knight. She had raised him from when he was just a small boy, and she had held him as he died in her arms.

Her eyes became wet for a moment as she lowered her sword, and watched the Knight beat the two servants.

As he stomped downward onto who she now knew was a Norsemen, he summoned his massive halberd which she instantly recognized, and now it was confirmed.

"Godrick?" She asked, hope in her voice.

His head shot up, and he turned to look at her, before making some sort of gesture with his hand.

"Mother?" He signed in disbelief.

A searing pain suddenly bloomed from his groin, and he looked down to see that Ivar had thrust his ax into the inside of his upper thigh, making him step off of him before Ivar sent an enormous amount of lightning directly into Godrick's chest and face, making him step back a bit.

Ivar smiled viciously as he stood unsteadily due to his broken body before he had Godricks halberd buried in his chest again, sending him into the house behind him.

Godrick brought a hand down to his inner thigh, putting pressure on his wound while he focused on healing himself as he hobbled to the home.

Looking inside he was nothing. Ivar was gone again, leaving his halberd that had cracked the floor.

Godrick seethed as his target had fled from him a second time. Turning back to the courtyard, Lancer was missing as well, leaving only his mother, and her master.

Focusing his energy on his wounds they closed, but the wound Lancer had given him earlier wasn't healing at all.

'A damn curse.' Godrick thought to himself.

He brought his left hand up to the wound, and stuck two fingers into it, seeing if he could absorb the curse. To his surprise, it worked, and Godrick was able to heal.

Turning back to his mother, he finally felt the realization of the situation sink in.

Reaching up with both hands, he took his helmet off, and let it dematerialize as he dropped it to the ground.

"Mother?" He signed once more as tears came to his eyes.

"Godrick!" Artoria said as they embraced each other, Godrick kneeling to be on her level.

"My sweet boy, is it really you?" She asked.

Godrick could feel her tears as their cheeks touched, his own mixing the two together.

She pulled away from him and held his face in her hands, squeezing his cheeks together slightly like she and her sister used to do.

She let out a joyous laugh as she hugged him once more, thanking whatever God's let her reunite with her son.

She pulled away from him a second time, looking him over before she spoke.

"What are you doing here? How did you get here?"

Godrick began to sign to her before remembering that she didn't know what he was doing.

The pair laughed at each other, overjoyed to be reunited after so long.

"Um… What's happening?" Shirou said as he looked at the two servants.

Artoria looked over at him before remembering where she was, and what she was supposed to be doing.

"Oh, I'm sorry master. This is my son Godrick, the Knight of Ruin." She introduced, as Godrick stood up, nodding at Shirou.

They would have time to talk later, now, they needed to deal with Rin and Archer, as the pair landed at the front gate.

"What happened here?" Rin asked, seeing the massive hole in the main house, and the destroyed shed.

"It was him." Shirou said, pointing at Godrick.

The Juggernaut placed his hands on his hips and deadpanned at Shirou. While what he said wasn't necessarily false, he also felt that it wasn't all true as well.

He looked around the destroyed courtyard at the mess Artoria and Lancer had made before he came in, and had to admit… Most of it was him.

Rin walked up to Godrick, and held her hand out.

"It's only right that you help fix it." She said to him.

Confused, Godrick held her hand with his left before feeling she drew on his over magical energy to cast a spell that seemed to reverse time of the house, slowly repairing it by placing all the pieces back together.

After everything was done, Rin turned to Shirou, who in turn, looked at Artoria.

"It seems we have a lot to talk about." Shirou said, walking to his house.
