Fate/Hellscape: War of Anomalies

In a world that has long gone farther from the Days of Olden, only the cruelest fate awaits those who have forsaken the past and move onwards, towards the future-- "Even if I change for the worse... you'll always save me, right?" In the Year of 2011, another land will bear the weights of a bloodstained battlefield. The Sixth Holy Grail War, destined to replenish the deaths of everything for the sake of a mere wish. What future does its six participants await...? "I will never fail you..." The seemingly eternal sky only drifted peacefully, despite the sea of corpses piled amongst the remnants of ashes and smokes. A solitary figure of a man stood at the center of it, remaining steadfast for the smile that had once believed in him. "I swear to you my profound loyalty..." A golden veil flowed solemnly in the wind as the silhouette of a lone woman kneeled within a vast field of marigolds, watching the moon in silence as a distortion of monochromatic memories passed beyond her wistful eyes. "I hope to make you proud, Father..." Delicate ripples echoed by the surface of the water, a reflection of two hazel eyes shining through. Fluttering close, a distant sigh could be heard, depicting the omen for the impending havoc to come. "I want you to make my wish come true..." A young boy held his hand out towards the entity in front of him, his conviction unfaltering despite each possibility that led to his demise followed by the shadows. For the sake of acquiring a sacred device that can fulfill anyone's desire-- even that of an impossible miracle, the world will always be drenched with the wrath of the apocalypse. Caution

"..."

He can feel it, something ominous scattered in the air and it was coming from his opponent.

"What are you doing? Assassin!"

Turning his head towards his contractor, which had expression of sternness and panic, She said,

"Quickly go back to your spiritual form, mister. We don't want to frighten the innocent, nor do we want to give them unnecessary ideas."

His azure eyes glowed brighter as he let go of his materialized form. Sending a quick message to his contractor's mind, he said,

"Thy foe wast more than they seem, beest careful."

Frowning, his contractor stared at where he once stood. But before she can dwell in her curiosity, he continued,

"I requesteth thee to wend. The time shalt come, soon."

Shoulders trembled, his contractor fave began to show astonishment as she never saw this sight of her servant like this. Believing on what he said, she moved her gaze towards the opponent and said,

"It is indeed an ill timed place to have a battle, not to mention with the people around."

Raising her right hand towards the auburn haired girl, she continued, "Would you accept this warrior challenge? Akasaka, Nogi shrine."

Shaltea stared at the now empty spot of the enormous servant, blinked towards its Master's gesture of unprecedented challenge, and then glanced silently from her left and unto her right. To say how unnerving it was for the other remaining two was a bit of an understatement. Her thoughts were seemingly beyond their reach, that both didn't know what else to feel besides observing the following of her actions on the qui vive.

"Hm..."

Shaltea hummed beneath her breath, donning a facade of a thoughtful look once again. And as if finding the conclusion she came up with as rather amusing, her lips stretched into an obscure smile.

"Very well. It would be a disgrace to deny such a willful challenge. However..."

Bronze eyes fluttered close.

After pausing over her words, Shaltea tilted her head at a certain angle and stared directly towards her. It would've been nothing but a normal look-- except, her eyes were hooded by the shadows formed by the dim museum light, and that, it exuded a piercing force alike those of a predatory glance. Her smile widened more innocently.

"...Do you really think it'll be easily over after that, Miss Meng Xixi?"

"What do you want me to do?"

One foot stepping back, Meng Xixi warily stared at the woman in front of her, as her grip towards the talisman became more tighter.

'If she wants a fight, I'll do it!' with that in mind, she started to use the ancient technique and energy of her family, Qi.

But then, she remembered that she was in a public place. The moment realization struck her, her eyebrow frowned and she said, "You know it's a bad place to fight. We have to abide by the War's rules."

Moving backwards without waiting for her enemy's response, she continued, "13pm, Nogi shrine, what do you think?"

She glanced at the nearby clock in the wall, and noted it's still around 11am. Two hours was enough preparation for her battle.

Shaltea's smile deepened at her cautious stance. Without even stepping out of her position, nor saying anything else besides entertaining her with vague answers, she was able to do that.

How more will it be when 'she' is free...?

Meanwhile, all this time, Gilgamesh stood on the sidelines with a scowl on his face. His eyes swept over his Master's figure, and yet... he still couldn't comprehend what's happening. She didn't even look back towards him for the entirety of their discourse, nor was she responsive to his telepathic calls. He couldn't seem to discern what she was thinking. He couldn't believe she would act so recklessly.

Taking one step forward, Gilgamesh was about to open his mouth and speak, only to be cut off by Shaltea, whom had given a reply with just a single, fervent word--

"Farewell."

Stunned at what the woman in front of her said, Meng Xixi was about to open her mouth and ask what she meant, until suddenly, her servant said something in her mind.

"The lady wanteth us to wend."

The feeling of being underestimated came into her as her expression warped in annoyance.

But before she could express what she felt in words, a voice sounded in her mind once again.

"Thy recklessness wouldst beest thy doom, Contractor."

Pausing her movements as she contemplated for a while, Meng Xixi sighed as she stared at her opponent's eyes and said, "I will wait for you there. You had better come or I will make light of your courage, Miss magus."

Turning her body behind, Meng Xixi walked towards the entrance where she had come from. In the middle of her walks, Meng Xixi suddenly had the urge to facepalm herself.

'Crap.. I haven't asked her name... It's a grave mistake for a warrior to not know their enemies name... So bet it, I'll ask her next time we meet.' Sighing, Meng Xixi can only leave and be prepared for the fight to come.
