8 Chapter 8 - Preparation

"I will be honest. This kind of situation wasn't what I was expecting to see when I got summoned." Medea said to him after she and Medusa were given details about the mission.

"I agree. This is vastly different from what I usually do." Medusa said to him as he nodded to her words.

"I know. But we need to complete this singularity to make sure that the human race can continue to exist." Felix said to the two of them.

The two Servants are standing in front of Felix with Mash standing a little distance behind him. Olga is standing to his right with Cu with Roman's hologram as they look at the scene.

"I shall do whatever my Master wishes." Medusa said to him as she looked at him.

"That's... reassuring to hear." Felix said to her with a small smile.

'Well, at least she won't try to backstab me. And as for Medea, I have to show her that I am trustworthy as well.' Felix thought to himself as he smiled at the two females.

"And what about you?" Felix asked Medea as the group looked at her.

"Well, I did agree to the summoning so it wouldn't be fair if I were to give up halfway through. Besides, I don't want to admit defeat in front of a fellow Caster." Medea said to him as she crossed her arms and seemed to be glancing at Cu.

"Well, welcome aboard then." Felix said to her with a small smile.

"Well, if that is done then we have to find a way to defeat the enemy Servant. She is no doubt very strong, fortunately we don't have to face Berserker which is a blessing." Cu said to them with a smile as he walked and stood beside his fellow Servants.

"Do you know who Berserker is?" Olga asked him curiously when she heard him.

"Yeah. He is a real pain in the ass. He is actually known amongst humans as my Greek equivalent." Cu said to them with an annoyed look.

"Greek equivalent? Then that Servant is... Wait!? You're saying that the Berserker Servant is Hercules!?" Roman said unsure before shouting when he realised it.

"Hercules!?" Medea said shocked when she heard the name of her former teammate from her life.

"He is a really famous Servant, infamous to be exact." Mash said to them when she heard him.

"He is the demigod son of Zeus. And a very famous Servant on top of it who has fought against monsters. A top Servant for sure." Roman said to them a bit distressed.

"I guess we should be glad that he isn't coming after us." Olga said with a shiver imagining a Servant of such strength hunting them.

"And who is the Servant that we have to defeat?" Medusa inquired to the Caster Servant.

"That Servant needs no kind of introduction. Being struck by her noble phantasm is more than enough to know her identity." Cu said with a chuckle.

"Who is she?" Medea asked him curiously.

"Taking the sword from the stone selects the King. She is the Servant who wields the most famous holy sword of them all. Excalibur." Cu said seriously as he looked at them.

The eyes of Mash, Olga, Roman, Medea and Felix widened when they heard that. Felix had widened his eyes to show the surprise he felt when he heard him talk, but in actuality he was just acting.

"Excalibur!" Olga said shocked.

"Yeah. The sword belongs to King Arthur, the celebrated King of Knights." Cu said with a serious face unperturbed by her reaction.

"You mean you want us to fight King Arthur! You might be able to fight, but you're going to tell her, Mash, to fight King Arthur?! Her Noble Phantasm hasn't even been released yet." Olga said with a worried tone as she looked at the Caster Servant.

"Director is correct. King Arthur is a top class Servant, fighting against a Servant of that power level is going to be very difficult. Not to mention that we have to face the sword Excalibur as well." Roman said to them with a tone of worry.

"Yes. What the doctor and director had said is correct. I am just a new Servant, I can't fight against a powerful opponent like the king of knights." Mash said a bit meekly.

"The young lady has her Shield so she will be fine. The bowman had targeted her because she possessed that Shield so she has value." Cu said to them seriously.

The group looked at Mash as said girl grew nervous from all the stares that she was getting.

"Well, if we have to fight against King Arthur, then we have to make a battle plan... A really good battle plan." Felix said with a sigh.

"Well, we have to correct this singularity so we don't have a choice. Let's make a plan and then go to fight with King Arthur." Olga said to them as she rubbed her forehead.

"Sounds good to me." Felix said to her as he scratched the back of his neck.

"If that is the case, then I shall look through the house. Since this is a Magus' house, there should be materials that I can use in my magecraft." Medea said as she summoned her staff.

"Count me in as well. I would also like to get some more materials." Cu said to her with a smirk.

"Then I shall stay with my Master here." Medusa said to them as she stood beside Felix.

"I will as well." Mash said to them.

"Great, then we can come up with a basic foundation for the plan and then modify it after the two Caster's come back with their necessary materials." Roman said to them through the hologram.

"Works for me. See you then." Cu said as he walked away.

"I shall return after I'm done as well." Medea said to them before she also left the room.

It was silent after the two Servants left the room as Felix looked at Olga who let out a big sigh.

"Alright, let's come up with a plan of attack. We can't make any mistakes." Olga said to them as she looked at the four people seriously.

It was then that Felix had remembered about Olga's fate. He was so focused on surviving that he had forgotten about her in the time.

'I saved her from the explosion but there is a chance that Lev will try to do the same thing in this world as well. I just hope that I will be able to save her.' Felix thought to himself as he looked at her.

(A/N: Now, some of you had asked me about his magic circuits and don't worry he has A class in both aspects, since he does need to fight for humanities survival.

But there is another thing that I want to know, well, to understand really. The Origin of the beings in Fate. From what I gather, all human souls have an Origin and it is the driving force and could be called as the instincts of a person. So you might have guessed that I am thinking about the Origin for Felix Adams.

I just want to understand it and to know if anything can become the Origin or not.

If you can give me an explanation it will really help.)
