Chapter 2: I am not prepared for this

"Ow my back. You okay?" Felix said with a wince as he slowly got up using his arms.

Olga who is under him is looking at him stunned and blushing as his face is currently close to her own.

"I-I'm o-okay. G-Get off of me!" Olga said blushing as she pushed him off of her.

"Oof!" Felix groaned when he fell on the floor.

Olga scrambled as she got up but she stopped when she saw the coffins which had the Master candidates inside. Her body froze when she saw it as her eyes widened.

"No..." Olga said in shock when she saw it.

"At least I managed to save her." Felix muttered to himself as he slowly got up.

But then he saw that she was frozen in shock with her having a horrified face.

"Oi director Olga! I know it's hard but this really isn't the time." Felix said to her but she doesn't respond to him.

He shook her shoulders but she didn't move as her eyes and face still had a horrified look. He sighed as he realised that she isn't going to come out of it easily.

"Sorry about this." Felix said as he raised his right hand.

*Slap!*

And then slapped her across her face as he held her in place. That however seemed to get her back to focus as she regained some semblance of mind as she is surprised at the stinging feeling she is feeling on her left cheek.

"You're back. Good. What do we do about them?" Felix said to her immediately.

But before she could answer him the metal door to the area opened as a man ran inside. Felix recognised him as Romani Archaman as the man looked at them with surprise and then relief.

"Oh you're okay." Romani said a bit relieved that Olga had survived.

"Romani! What are you doing! Go check the generators fast!" Olga shouted at him scaring him a bit.

"Yes director. The names Romani Archaman, sorry for the rushed introduction but I have to check the generators." Romani said to Felix before he ran out the door.

"And you! I'll talk with you about hitting me but we need to put them in cryosleep now." Olga said to him in anger and seriousness.

"Okay. Just show me how to do it." Felix said to her.

"Fine. Just follow me." Olga said as she got her bearings before she ran and activated the cryosleep function of the coffin.

Felix seeing it also started to do it when he noticed the girl with the eye patch out of her coffin and on the ground. She seemed to be charred and her skin looks burned but she seemed fine for the most part. He turned her over and saw that she has been knocked unconscious.

"Well, at least she's alive." Felix said to himself as he picked her up.

He picked her up in a princess carry before he walked as fast as he can towards the outside of the room and placed her there before going back inside. He activated the other coffins before he came across a gory sight.

"Mash." Felix said as he looked at the girl who has her lower half crushed under a giant slab of the broken building.

"Senpai..." Mash said as she is bloodied.

'I know that she will be okay but that doesn't make it any easier.' Felix thought to himself before he looked at the slab of concrete.

He then jumped there and put his hands under it surprising Mash.

"Hrrrgh!" Felix grunted as he used all his strength.

"Senpai, there's no need... for you to try... so hard... I will die." Mash said to him.

But he wasn't listening to her as he kept on using his strength before he finally managed to lift the slab a bit surprising Mash.

"Get... out..." Felix said as he is straining his muscles.

Mash hearing it crawled out of there before he let go of the slab as it fell on the floor. Felix then landed on his butt as he is sweating as he took deep breaths to stabilize himself.

"Are you okay? Well, as okay as you can be." Felix said to her as he turned to her still short of breath.

"I'm fine... senpai... Thank you for... doing this despite... knowing that I... will die." Mash said to him weakly.

"Try to save your energy. I'm sure we can do something." Felix said to her in worry.

'She needs to survive until the Rayshift happen.' Felix thought to himself as he looked at the girl.

He then looked at Olga who is frantically going around and activating the Cryosleep function of the coffins. He sat beside Mash as the girl looked at him. Then the system activated as he heard it searching for Master candidates before finding him and started its function to Rayshift.

"Senpai, you should... get out... You can't Rayshift... when we're... in this condition." Mash said to him.

But the metal door closed off cutting off a path our of there.

"Well, looks like I can't get out now." Felix said as he loosened his muscles.

'Besides, whether I want to or not, I have to do this. If only to make sure that I survive the destruction of the world. The success of the Grand Order is crucial for the survival of the humans of this planet.' Felix thought to himself.

"I see. Senpai, could you... please hold... my hand." Mash asked him weakly as she moved her bloody hand towards him.

"Sure Mash." Felix said with a smile as he grabbed her hand and didn't care about the blood that is on it.

The machine started to countdown and Felix saw Olga panicking before she spotted him. She ran to him but stopped when she saw the state Mash is in. Then she shook her head and then kneeled in front of him.

"Listen, whatever you do, do not die in the singularity. No matter what." Olga ordered him with a glare.

"Thanks for the words of support director." Felix dryly said as he looked at her.

"I'm serious! You're the only eligible Master left! I'm not going to lose an asset!" Olga shouted at him with a a glare.

"1...0... Preparation Complete... Commencing First Order." The machine said as the Rayshift started.

Felix saw his vision go white as he felt a hand on his right forearm as his circuits came to life at the sudden touch as it travelled from his body to the hand before he couldn't feel, see or hear anything.

"Ugh. That was horrible." Felix muttered to himself as he fell face first on the ground.

He slowly got up and looked around him to see that he is in some kind of ruined city. But he recognised the place as his eyes widened in realisation.

"I'm in Fuyuki." Felix said as he quickly got up.

He looked around and saw dark clouds and sky, some fire and light in the distance, presumably from the fire there as well. The entire place has been destroyed and it can be seen that no human would want to live here.

"Well, I'm really fucked." Felix said as he looked around with wide eyes.

'If I remember correctly then Archer should be here as well. Of course, he is going to try to kill me. Fortunately I'm surrounded by buildings so he shouldn't be able to see me.' Felix thought to himself as he sighed in relief.

"Raagh!" A sound came from behind him as he turned around.

"Of course, skeletons. Cause why wouldn't they be here." Felix said as he saw skeletons running towards him.

They were the skeleton enemies in Fuyuki as some wore armor, they had various weapons on them as they ran towards him.

"I am so not prepared for this." Felix said before he ran away from the skeletons as they gave chase.
