To Kailash

A once-in-a-century event had taken place.

A defeat of a god.

And more importantly, Apollo's divinity of the sun had been passed to Karna making him stronger than before.

Hindu Gods couldn't be happier but the rest were worried without it showing on their faces.

What if Karna managed to get the divinity of the sun from other sun deities too? No, that's impossible. Right now, it was just an unusual event caused by Apollo's stupidity.

'I have to tell this to sister Amaterasu.'

Susanoo thought. Of course, there was no way her sister would give her divinity to Karna.

"Lord Karna, you are very powerful. I want to fight you too."

Thor said jokingly to Karna making everyone laugh. Everyone knew Thor's thirst for battle with the strongest opponents which could only be matched by Karna.

"I would love to fight with you too, son of Odin."

Karna replied with a smile. Thor was proud that this new strong god knew his name.

The cuts on his body had been instantly healed, unlike Apollo who was laying on the ground covered with blood and wounds. Except for his sister, Artemis, everyone seem to ignore him and were near Karna.

"Haha, I hope there's no more fighting for some time."

Azazel added.

"I agree with you, Lord Azazel."

Karna replied greeting the leader of Fallen Angel whom he couldn't properly meet before like most guests.

"Congratulations on your win, Lord Karna."

Sirzechs came forward accompanied by the little girl.

"Thank you, Lord Sirzechs."

Karna replied and shook the hand offered by Satan.

"My sister, Rias, has been very excited to meet you."

Sirzechs pointed towards the little redhead.

"Hello, Lord Karna. My name is Rias Gremory. Can you please give me an autograph?"

Rias said with starry eyes as she offered him a pen and a piece of paper.

'Autograph?'

Karna reluctantly grabbed the pen and paper but was confused about what to do although his father Surya who realized his son's dilemma immediately told him what that means through telepathic communication.

"Here you go, Rias. It's nice to meet such a cute girl like you."

Karna complied and handed the autograph to Rias.

"Huh.... thank you, Lord Karna."

Rias who was blushing hard from Karna's statement grabbed the paper and ran away to hide her face of embarrassment.

"Not only have you got Apollo's sun divinity but such a lovely little fan too, Karna."

Indra walked towards Karna who was still surprised by Rias' action. The king of gods patted Karna's back to show his appreciation.

Similarly, other gods followed to congratulate Karna including Susanoo and Surya.

Once almost everyone was done two of the most beautiful women walked toward him.

"Karna, I once again apologize on behalf of my brother and the Greek pantheon. He just ruined your ceremony."

Artemis said in a sorrowful tone. She was feeling quite guilty because of his brother's action.

"There is no need for apology, Artemis. I am grateful for having a duel with Lord Apollo."

Karna said to reassure the moon goddess.

"We haven't been formally introduced, Lord Karna. I am Gabriel from the Angel faction. I am very impressed by you, not only you showed valor but also nobility by not attacking Lord Apollo after he surrendered."

The other beautiful woman, Gabriel said to Karna with a smile. Karna must say she has the most gentle smile he had ever seen.

"Yes, I should also thank you for that, Karna."

Artemis thanked Karna.

"You give me too much credit, Lady Gabriel and Artemis. It's basic courtesy to not hurt someone who has already surrendered."

Karna replied.

"Now I must take my leave with my brother. My father is going to be very angry at him. Thank you for having us as guests, Karna. And please visit Olympus when you can. Later, Lady Gabriel."

Artemis walked away while waving her hand at Karna and Gabriel.

"Lady Gabriel, I have an unusual request from you, if you don't mind."

As they were alone, Karna suddenly asked the angel.

"Huh? From me?"

Gabriel was startled. What could Karna want from her?

"You see, I have read a lot about angels this past few days. The books described them to be very beautiful and looking at your beauty, Lady Gabriel, those books have failed in describing the grace of angels. But one thing I haven't seen are an angel's wings. If you please could show me."

Karna said. He was curious about those wings that he never saw in his life.

Meanwhile, Lady Gabriel's brain had been short-circuited. How easily Karna had complimented her beauty and wanted to see her wings had some weird effect on her, especially her heart.

"Ummm... Lady Gabriel? It's fine if you don't want to. I apologize for such a request."

Karna said thinking that he had made some mistake.

"Huh... no, no, no, I was just lost in thoughts. Sure I can show you my wings."

Gabriel was too nice to deny a request from someone else and that too such a small one, how could she say no?

Gabriel stepped back and in an enthralling motion, twelve beautiful white wings appeared from her back.

Karna was dazed seeing Gabriel with twelve wings. Before she looked extremely beautiful but now her beauty was heavenly. He couldn't take his eyes off her.

"Umm... Lord Karna..."

Gabriel felt shy as Karna looked intensely at her for quite some time.

"Ah... I'm sorry, you were just too beautiful."

Gabriel's cheeks turned red as her wings disappeared.

"Thank you, Lady Gabriel, for showing me your wings."

Karna thanked her wholeheartedly.

"It's my pleasure, Lord Karna. Also, it's time for me to go back to Heaven, with your permission."

Gabriel smiled.

"Please Lady Gabriel, thank you for coming."

Karna said bye to Gabriel and went back to his father.

Followed by Gabriel and Artemis, other guests also left for their respective homes.

"Here Karna, how are you feeling after becoming a god? Must be nice, right?"

Surya placed his hand on his son's shoulder and asked.

"I certainly feel powerful, but I was wondering what are the duties of gods?"

Karna asked his father curiously.

"Oh Karna, you are now a god. Relax. We work when there is something but you should learn to enjoy yourself."

Indra with a glass of wine in his right hand and the left hand wrapped around a beautiful woman, an Apsara, who dances and sings in Indra's court.

Karna couldn't agree but didn't wanted deny it either as there was some truth to his words.

"Lord Indra is right, Karna. Your life was filled with harshness, life needs a little playfulness, my son."

Surya supported Indra's words as he didn't want his son to engross himself in responsibilities.

Karna nodded at his father's words.

"Father, if it is possible I wish to meet God Shiva."

Karna asked. As a new god in the Hindu pantheon, he naturally wanted to meet its head.

The gods silently pondered on Karna's request. It was not easy to meet the God of Gods, Shiva. Without his permission, none could enter his adobe, Mount Kailash. But his wish was not impractical either, thus a solution was needed.

"Going to Mount Kailash is no easy task, even for a god. A divine mount or chariot is necessary for Karna to visit God Shiva."

Surya said while stroking his chin with his fingers.

"You can have Pushpak Vimana, Karna. Take it as my gift."

Indra offered. He wanted to be on the good side of Karna fearing that the new sun god might rival him for the throne of Swarga.

"That would be perfect. Also, Lord Indra, you have one more thing that you should be giving to my son."

Surya said to Indra.

"One more thin- Oh yes, how could I forget."

Indra flicked his fingers and divine light covered Karna's body.

"This is..."

Once the light settled down, Karna's body was covered in his divine armor that he had given to Indra before Mahabharata.

"Now it's perfect."

Surya smiled seeing his son in the armor given by him at his birth.

"I can't thank you enough, Lord Indra. It's just not an armor for me but something a father's gift to his son."

Karna said gratefully even though knowing full well that Indra gave his armor back because of Surya's request.

"And here's your ride, Karna."

With another flick of a finger, the Pushpak Vimana appeared.

It had a golden and emerald ark, a high-tech Indian airplane-like vehicle that would make even Area 51 pale-faced, fueled by a solar crystal, rutilated quartz crystals, that burns mercury as fuel. It had a pilot throne that can be withdrawn in emergencies, and a control column placed directly in front of it.

Karna was about to get on the vimana but was stopped by Surya.

"Before that Karna, it's time for us to bid farewell."

Surya said with a heavy tone.

"Father?"

Karna was astonished. It's been a few days with his father and now he is going away? He was expecting it but it still hurts.

"I wish to spend my time in my adobe, Suryaloka, from now on. But I wish you my best for your new journey of being a god."

Surya said and took Karna in a hug which he reciprocated.

No words were exchanged after that, there were some tears in the eyes of father and son, till Surya disappeared while hugging him.

Karna stood there for a few minutes to gather his thoughts before Indra place his palm on his shoulder.

"Karna..."

"Yes, Lord Indra."

Karna wiped his tears off and got on the vimana, sitting on the throne. He started and flew towards his destination, Kailash.
