13 Tenth Ring

"Hello Karna, It's nice to meet you once again."

Artemis greeted Karna excitedly in Gabriel's room. She had a nervous smile on her face as thinking about an opportunity to propose her love to him.

"Artemis, I wasn't expecting you."

Karna replied not knowing what a Greek goddess was doing in heaven.

"Lady Artemis had come to meet me, we have grown to be friends. Please take a seat, Lord Karna."

Gabriel replied feeling that she can call Artemis her friend as she intends to help her in getting Karna's love.

Karna nodded and took a seat followed by the goddess and angel who sat at either side of him.

"So Lord Karna, how can I help you?"

Gabriel asked perfectly ready to assist Karna. Even though they can never be together, she would gladly look over him forever.

Karna stayed silent for a moment before asking the angel for the favor.

"Lady Gabriel, I would like to know about Solomon and his rings. And how does it connect to Old Satan Faction attacking the Gremory territory to steal one of the rings."

Karna said specifying his question.

Gabriel understood why Karna choose to ask her this question. She was the one who was the closest to the Biblical God.

And having no resistance in telling everything to Karna thanks to his good soul that won't use it for others' harm, she told him everything she knew about the rings.

Solomon was the favorite of Biblical God and he was given ten rings when he asked for 'True Wisdom' from the god. The rings, made him the King of Magecraft, allowing him to perform and nullify any Magecraft.

One of Solomon's most interesting accomplishments was contracting seventy-two demon gods as his familiars and with their help constructing the Temple of Solomon.

"Those seventy-two demon gods' names resemble the names of seventy-two clans of Devil factions, most likely each familiar belonging to each clan."

"The rings were spread across the universe and time, even though I don't know the locations of all the rings. And why the Old Satan Faction are trying to steal it? I apologize but I don't know about that."

Gabriel finished her explanations as Karna and Artemis listened to her with great interest.

"One of the rings was returned to God, do you tend to know about its whereabouts, Lady Gabriel?"

Karna asked about the ring that was most different from the others.

"Sadly no, father never told me about it. Maybe he never gave it to someone else and..."

Gabriel replied but seemed to stop in the middle of the sentence.

"If he never gave him the ring to someone else that the ring might be in his possession... at his tomb."

Knowing that it would be hard for the angel to talk about God's death, Artemis finished the sentence for her.

Gabriel nodded in agreement with an expression of longing.

"Lady Gabriel, I know it's too much to ask but I think we should get that ring. It is not impossible for others to go after it."

Karna requested without breaking eye contact with the angel, not expecting a no for an answer. The world was at stake, he don't want her feelings to overcome her decision.

"Even if you say so... no one knows where his tomb is located. No one will think about getting a ring from there."

Gabriel threw a last attempt to reject but there was some truth to it. If even angels don't know where God's tomb lies then no one would.

"Lady Gabriel, it's not that simple. The Old Satan Faction wouldn't have gone after the rings if they weren't sure of getting all ten rings. It's the safest course of action."

Karna countered. He had decided to take the ring from God's tomb no matter what.

"If it's for the good of mankind, then I'll help you, Lord Karna."

After thinking for a few minutes, Gabriel agreed. She couldn't get herself to deny Karna.

"I'll help too, Karna. Let's get this ring."

Not wasting an opportunity to get in the good books of the sun god, the moon goddess quickly joined the team.

While Karna and the women were discussing getting one of the rings, Sirzechs had entered heaven with Rias and Akeno, while Michael had come to welcome him.

Michael was an archangel, the leader of the Angel faction after the death of the Biblical God in the Great War.

Michael was a handsome-looking man with long blond hair and green eyes. He wore a red robe with a gold cross on the front of his white alb and had golden shoulder plates with a white sash and a golden halo set above his head.

Normally, it was not possible for devils and fallen angels to enter heaven, because the defense mechanism of heaven that would give a mind-shattering headache to anyone who visits without permission.

But because of Sirzechs status, today he and the girls were permitted to visit heaven without any worry.

"Thank you for accepting to meet me on such short notice, Michael."

Sirzechs said and shook hands with the archangel.

"I'm sorry to hear about what happened in the underworld, Sirzechs."

Michael replied sympathizing with Satan Lucifer.

As both started walking forward to talk, Rias and Akeno had some other plans as they were not interested in talking of elders.

"Big brother, I and Akeno will look around the heaven till you talk to Sir Michael."

Rias asked expecting a yes from her brother.

"Fine, Rias. Enjoy yourselves."

As expected of her, Sirzechs agreed to her request after getting a nod from Michael.

"Thank you!"

Both the girls screamed and ran away from the two men.

"Rias, where are we going? Heaven is so big and beautiful, I don't think it's easy to spot Lord Karna here."

Akeno asked as she savored the beauty of heaven with a drool. She had to say although Swarga was superior, Heaven didn't lose by much.

"Lord Karna was acquainted with Lady Gabriel when he became a god so we can start by looking from here."

Rias explained her plan with a smirk thinking of herself as smart and led the fallen angel to Gabriel's palace.
