The Village [1]

Time passed bit by bit with Kobi recovering peacefully, unaware of the outside events.

But just like every good thing had to come to a stop, his sleep also slowly receded. Splashing him back into the sea of consciousness.

'Where... am I?' Kobi's eyes slowly quivered before opening up.

The dim lightening allowed him to swiftly adapt and open his eyes fully.

'Where the heck is this garbage-can? Is it a haystack!?' Kobi's eyes shifted around in bewilderment.

Kobi's face twisted as he tried getting up, the pain erupting from his chest slammed him back. A hiss escaped his lips.

He raised his neck and glanced at himself. The bandages coverimg his chest and stomach made hm hiss in fright.

"Were my injuries that severe?" Kobi didn't feel as admits his squabble.

Remembering the fight, the wolf's dead face appeared in his mind, he sighed solemnly, 'Another life!'

'If I had it in me, I would've let you live... but you sought someone's life, so your life in return I took.' Kobi sighed again and foolishly tried getting up again.

"Ouch! Dumb pain!" Kobi clicked his tongue and rested quietly, realizing even his arms had been bound underneath all this bandage.

'Which piece of crap bandaged me again!? Did I steal his wife that he had to tie me up so cruelly!? Huh!' Kobi let loose a few more curses before allowing his eyes to wander.

'Wait... this is not a haystack! Its a straw house!' Kobi's eyes widened in realization. His ears twitched as he picked up a few nearing voices.

"Yes, grandpa! I will bring him over when he wakes up."

Kobi's eyes flickered, that voice sounded like that ungrateful village girl.

"Hmm! Bring Rio as well, I will have the maid cook his favorite spaghetti!"

'Whose the old ancient tree talking now?' Kobi exclaimed in surprise, the voice could indeed be mistaken for an old tree's dry twigs creaking.

"Haha! Thank you, Grandpa! I will bring him over."

"Hohoho! Don't take too long, all these bored villagers are just dying to hear your story! I'll be off then!"

Kobi could hear a staff striking the ground as the voices died down for a while.

"Let me check up on him, Rio! You stay here... make your to maintain a safe distance from that lolicon!"

'YOU UNGRATEFUL WENCH! I WILL MURDER YOU!' Kobi's eyes turned bloodied as he growled while trying to get up, ignoring the pain from his wounds opening up.

Acting as the entrance, the ragged cloth moved aside as Reka walked inside.

"O-oi!" Seeing him struggling to get up, the girl hurriedly rushed towards him, making her brown hair flail in the wind.

She sat on the decrepit wooden bed without any mattress and supported Kobi's back. Helping him up.

Kobi hurriedly shot his enraged eyes towards the girl and stared straight in her shivering light brown eyes, but just as he was about to retort and give her a piece of his mind, she shut him up good.

"LOOK AT YOURSELF! YOUR EYES ARE ALL SWOLLEN, DID YOU HAVE TO EXERT SO MUCH STRENGTH? YOU COULD'VE WAITED FOR SOMEONE! IT'S NOT LIKE YOU HAVE TO PEE!"

Seeing the girl's genuine concern, Kobi's lips spasmed but he felt as if he couldn't sit at ease without barking back, hence he smiled sheepishly and nodded, "Yea!"

The girls mouth hung loose slightly, she almost slapped herself, "Oh... oh! So-Sorry! Let me take you to the cesspit."

"Tch!" Kobi clicked his tongue in annoyance, "COULDN'T YOU ARRIVE EARLIER? MY POOR PEE WITHDREW! AND WHAT IF I HAD TO LET LOOSE HERE? WOULD YOU CHANGE MY CLOTHES, HUH? SHAMELESS! VERY SHAMELESS! Changing a man's clothes–" Kobi shook his head, his disappointment evident for the girl, "Wait, speaking of clothes... why is the wind so strong?"

Kobi glanced down, a thin rag, clearly outlining his curves, covered his legs.

Kobi hissed, "YOU SHAMELESS GIRL! WHAT THE HECK DO YOU WANT TO DO WITH THIS YOUNG MASTER!? SOMEBODY SAVE MEE!"

Kobi pushed away the girl's support, but the sudden pain immediately forced him to collapse back. But instead of groaning, he spoke in a defeated tone.

"Now that things have come to this... very well, go on! I will bear with utmost calmness. Know this, you won't force me a single tear!" Kobi glanced at the straw roof with a lost look.

His eyes sneakily glanced at Reka, her hands folded on her chest. Her teeth holding her trembling lip in aghast, her quacking eyes seemed to ask just how shameless somebody could be.

Seeing that he had been caught Kobi coughed dryly, "Ho-Hoho! I-It's not like I am lying or whatever–" Kobi's eyes suddenly widened in horror and realization.

"Shit! You wanted to take me to a cesspit while in this state? And a cesspit!? Shit! How dare you! Who asked you to kidnap me? Spill it! And, and!" Kobi tried pointing his finger but bit his tongue in his frenzy, realizing he was tied, "You wanted to drag me to that cesspit f-for that, didn't you? You... you got some real nice kinks girl!"

Reka felt as if she would burst, her hands fisted, her knees collapsing on the brick floor, her weak voice reached his ears, "How!?"

"Huh? Trying to justify yourself? Humph! I'm not buyin–"

"YOU SHAMELESS, UNGRATEFUL, FOOLISH LOLICON! I ASKED OTHER MEN IN THE VILLAGE TO BANDAGE YOU IN CONCERN, YET YOU SLANDER ME LIKE THIS?! Cough, cough," Reka covered her mouth, her throat going hoarse.

As she retracted her hands, her eyes shivered as she glanced at the blood on her palm.

Seeing her horrified face, Kobi realized he overdid it and muttered to himself, "Fuck! Too powerful! I'm too powerful!"

The curtain hurled aside as a young figure dashed in and shielded Reka.

Rio glared at Kobi and threw out his arms bravely, "Don't you dare bully my sis! You can't force her, Reka is my harem!"

Silence descended the house.

Reka froze admits her attempts of wiping the blood.

Kobi's eyes froze on Rio's pouting face.

A few moments passed as Kobi gawked at Rio, "...PFFT! HAHAHAHAHAHA! HAREM! HAREM!? YOUR HAREM!? HAHAHA! NICE KIDDO, NICE, NICE!" Kobi nodded his heads, tears gushing out of his eyes,. "Now quickly repeat after me, say A, B, C!"

"Pfft!" Reka covered her face, seeing Rio turn to him in disbelief, she quickly covered her mouth and tried suppressing her laughter but the more she stared at him, the more she ended up giggling. Causing Rio's face to turn bright red.

"Kid, kid! You know how to spell harem? Lemme teach you, say, 'I am a kid'! Pfft! HAHAHA!"

"Hahaha!" Reka lowered her face, her shoulders trembling incentively.

"Uwaaa!" Rio's eyes brimmed up with tears, his cheeks puffed up, "I HATE YOU ALL!"

Rio rushed outside the hut and dashed away.

"RIO!" Reka screamed out his name and dashed after him.

"OI, KID! KID!" Kobi tried chasing after Rio as well, but all his struggles resulted him with a fall from the bed.

"Hiss! Fuck! Damn injuries!" Glancing at the blurry shades running away outside and being projected at the house from the sunlight, he muttered to himself, "I was just kidding!"

Fate seemed to pay him back as he laid face first into the hard bricks, thankfully, the thin cloth was rolled around his legs and he managed to retain some shame.

'Since she's a village girl, she probably took me to her village, huh? Not bad, I must say.' Kobi chuckled, before shouting in his head, 'OI RETARDED SYSTEM, DID YOU DIE OR WHAT?!'

"Oh! Finally done with your mischief, huh?" With a puff, Shik appeared in front of Kobi, hovering near the ground with his legs crossed.

He suddenly paused and took in Kobi's full body, "...PFFT! HAHAHAHA! YOU LOOK LIKE A MAIDEN IN DISTRESS! HAHAHA! WANT HELP WITH YOUR CLOTHES! O MAIDEN, WANT ME TO SPARE YOU SOME DESCENCY?!»

"Yea!" Kobi calmly nodded his head with a plain face.

"Oh! ...oh!" Shik nodded his head idioticaly, he hoped by the time their journey together ended, he could at least retain some braincells.

"Sadly I can't help you with that." Shik shrugged nonchalantly.

"Useless scum! Traitor! Pest! Go die in a gutter!" Kobi's lips morphed in loth.

Shik sighed heavily, "Got good news for you!" A smile appeared on Shik's face.

"YOU ARE BEING REPLACED!?" Kobi blurted before a relieved smile stretched across his face. "Phew! Finally I don't have to fret over a broken system!"

«NO!» Shik stared at Kobi with trembling eyes.

"No, then its not good news, is it?" Kobi rolled his eyes.

"Hmmm! I will keep it to myself then!" Shik entertained a sullen face.

"Oh, no, no! Its fine! No matter what, I am a compassionate soul. Go on, I am all ears!" Kobi nodded seriously.

"Humph! Say please!" Shik snorted in disdain.

"Pwease, Hubby! Should I massage your shoulders?" Kobi made a pitiful expression.

"Shit!" Shik slapped himself while rolling his eyes, "I am going to have nightmares now!"

Kobi shurgged nonchalantly.

"Anyways, the AIs had a meeting and came up with a new feature, your numeric damage display is still under debate. So you have to wait for that." Shik snapped his fingers, causing a hologram to appear in front of Kobi.
