Chapter 19 Save the Child

Dr. Lewis exhaled quietly as he observed her firm appearance. He couldn't say anything else. All he could do was offer her some dietary supplements.

"Come back for a detailed inspection in two weeks."

"And all the medicines you are taking to treat lung cancer should also be stopped."

Nina agreed one by one.

She was disoriented for a moment as she carried a bag of medicine out of the hospital door, watching the rush and bustle of people coming and going.

The phone rang, and a familiar name, Felix, flashed on the phone screen.

She paused for a few seconds before clicking to connect.

"How is your health?" The other end of the phone was answered by a frigid voice.

"I won't die," Nina said lightly.

Felix's breath became stale. He battled back his rage as he remembered how she had vomited blood the day before.

"Send me the results of the physical exam."
