Chapter 2

Magic. It's the word to describe the phenomenon which happens because of mysterious or supernatural force. In planet Earth, Magic isn't real. It only exists in mythologies and fictional stories. So, how Bryan could do magic.

To get to know how Bryan could do this supernatural feat, we need to return back to the past event. Around a year and a half ago.

At that time, Bryan was a second-year junior high school; it hadn't been long since he became a sophomore student. It happened in early summer. When he was on the way back from school, he was abruptly summoned to another world.

The name of that world wasn't important anymore. However, it was the typical fantasy world with sword and magic elements. It was a world wherein the society was stagnating in the era of which was equal to the Earth's Medieval Era.

Humans weren't the only living beings residing in that world. Other fantasy race such as Sub-Humans like Were-Beasts and Dwarves, Elves, and Demons lives in that world too. It was your typical fantasy world you can find in the fantasy story on the internet. The trope which had become a fad for several years and was still going strong.

Bryan was summoned by one of five superpowers in that world, or to be precise, the Court Magicians of Human Empire. That superpower was an Empire which upheld human supremacy belief and Bryan was summoned to be their weapon to invade and conquer the other Superpowers in that world.

There were other four superpowers in that world, excluding the Human Empire. These four superpowers were the Elven Kingdom located in Sacred Forest in the eastern continent, Were-Beasts Community located in the Sea of Trees in the western continent, the Dragon Kingdom located in the Draconian Mountains in the central continent, and the Demon Kingdom in the frozen land in the northern continent. With the human continent in the southern continent, the world map looked like a cross with five different continents.

Later on, when Bryan discovered the world map, he couldn't help but comment on how the world map looked like the world where a certain Part-Timer Demon King was originated[1].

In the beginning, the upper echelons of the Human Empire tried to enslave Bryan using Enslavement Magic and Slavery Magic Tools through subtle means. However, they quickly found out that Bryan had a unique ability to negate any magic and "negative status effect". In the end, they decided to manipulate Bryan through the other means.

Bryan was none of the wiser. He was still in a state of disbelief and excitement because he was summoned to another world and was called "Hero". He was treated respectfully and all his desires were indulged by the Empire. The Empire didn't hold back in indulging Bryan.

Luxurious lifestyle, delicious dishes, and even beautiful and exotic women...

It was the beginning of how Bryan's current personality was shaped. That place was the origin and root of his hedonistic lifestyle.

When Bryan had the audience with the Emperor, he heard how the other races were the danger for human kinds. The Emperor spewed bullshit that painted the other races in the bad light, that they were the enemy of mankind that needed to be conquered and controlled.

It could be said that Bryan was a gullible idiot at that time. He just agreed to help the Humankind to conquer the other races because of his sympathy and empathy as human. He didn't know that he was being played by the Emperor and his followers.

To add the icing on the cake, the Emperor had engaged him with his precious daughter to encourage him.

The princess was very beautiful. As a matter of fact, she was the most beautiful girl Bryan had the pleasure to meet. She was charming enough that Bryan momentarily forgot his crush to his young nanny who he had known for years. And when he found that he was engaged to such a pretty and well-mannered princess, he was over the moon.

Bryan didn't know that the personality of the princess was manipulative, vicious, cunning, and very ambitious. In fact, she had become the trash Emperor's favorite because of these nasty personalities. However, the princess was a very good actress and knew how to steer and indulge Bryan in his newfound hedonistic lifestyle.

If Bryan knew better, he would comment on how her trashy personality reminded him of the trash princess in the story with the protagonist who wielded shield[2]. But, Bryan was unaware of the Empire's scheme and the real personality of the princess.

And so, Bryan was started to get corrupted with him none the wiser. He was supplied with the wrong commonsense of that world, shaped and sculpted as the perfect weapon for the Empire to dominate that fantasy world.

At the fifteenth day after his arrival, he finally started his training. When his aptitude for magic was tested, everyone was shocked by the finding. It was what you could expect from that type of development.

In summary, Bryan was your typical another protagonist with cheat. Not only Bryan had the aptitude for all general elements, but he also obtained the aptitude for the rare Light, Dark, and Void elements. For the General Elements, there are Fire, Wind, Earth, and Water.

Moreover, Bryan obtained the ability known as Gaia's Blessing that protected him from any "negative status effects" like poison, paralyze, mind control, etc.

Bryan was a definition of cheat in and of itself.

The Court Magicians fought — not literally in this case — to be his Mentor. When Bryan was requested to pick up his mater, he chose the female Court Magician who was only the third strongest.

The reason behind Bryan's choice is simple. The female Court Magician had subtly contacted him beforehand to pick her up. Her message was simple.

"Pick me and I will do anything for you."

Receiving that kind of message, there was no way Bryan who started to get corrupted not pick her up.
