Chapter 14

The following day at school

(Luis) Hey, did you guys see last night's news?

(Ch) Yeah

(Ashely) No, what happens?

I heard that 45 people died at the B & N bar last night, and one was taken to the hospital with injuries. Unfortunately, he is in a coma and there is no telling when he'll awaken.

(Ashely) What, did they ever figure out who did it?

(Cha) It's unknown, but I believe I have a reasonable guess as to what caused it.

Teacher

Okay, class everyone in their sets, please.

We will be welcoming a new and returning student to our class.

(Students) I'm curious as to who it could be.

The door opened as the student continued to whisper, attempting to figure out who it could be, and what Luis saw next made him shake with rage.

Teachers

Yaus and Hara come in,

(Ashely) That's Yaus, Luis, Luis.

(Cha) Luis...

(Luis) * No, it can't be... Why is he here and in my class after all this time? Is this my imagination or am I just not awake?

(Ashely) Luis, are you okay?

(Luis) I... I... I'm fine.

In (Teacher) class, you remember Yaus, and our new student is Hara. Boys, you can take a set right behind Luis and Cha.

(Luis): "No, this isn't a dream."

Yaus and Hara walked over to take their seats right behind Luis and Cha.

As the class continued, Luis was so disoriented that he couldn't concentrate, feeling uncomfortable knowing Yaus was right behind him. He did not want to turn around, knowing that if he did, he would either scream or cry. He only knows that he doesn't want anything to do with Yaus.

(Luis) When did he return? Why is he here? After all this time, I haven't received a response back from all my texts and he shows up out of nowhere.

As Luis was lost in thought, Cha, who was sitting right next to him, reached his hand out and laid it on Luis and bent down to whisper in his ear: "Luis, I've always loved you and I'm here for you." Luis slowly looks over at Cha and smiles.

Yaus rushes out of his seat grasping Cha's shirt, lifting him in the air-What did you just say?

(Teacher) What seems to be the issue back there? Yaus, it's your first day back.

(Ch) What's the matter? Are you nervous? Before Cha was able to finish his sentence, the lunch bell rang.

(Teacher) The class is dismissed except for Yaus.

Luis... Luis... (Ashely)

(Luis) I'm sorry, did you say something, Ashely?

(Ashely) Let's go—pulling him by his arm

Ashely and Cha take Luis and walk out of the school to head to the park that is 3 blocks away. The whole time, Luis never said a word.

(Cha) Luis, are you okay?

(Luis) I'm fine.

(Ashely) Are you sure you knowing Ya?

(Luis) I don't want to hear his name... I'm fine. I don't want anything to do with him anymore. Can we just please not talk about it?

(Ashley) If that's what you want, we are here if you need someone to talk to.

(Luis) Thanks, let's eat. I'm hungry and I just want to forget all about today.

Let's go eat, and I have something in mind that can keep your mind off things.

(Ashely) I read you loud and clear. I will make the call and meet you guys.

(Luis) Excuse me, what are you guys planning?

(Cha), wait and see.

Luis is taken to Ashely's house by Cha, where he takes him to the secret room.

(Luis) What are we doing here?

Just wait and see, but I also wanted to speak with you first.

(Luis) Okay, what is it?

(Cha) I know it's been a hard year and now just seeing his face today, I am not sure how you will feel about this.

(Luis) It's not another big secret you two are keeping from me, and where did Ashely disappear to?

(Ch) Ashely will be here soon, and no, it's not a secret. Luis, I love you and I want you to be with me.

(Luis) Cha, I 'I don't know

( Cha ) Just consider it.

(Ashely) Hey, guys. I'm sorry. I didn't think it would take that long. I also grabbed some food.

All three of them enjoyed a pleasant lunch in the woods. After that, they took Luis to meet Bluey.

(Ch) This is Bluey. He is my guard wolf and my best friend.

(Luis) He is beautiful.

Let's take a ride on him and explore the forest.

(Ashely). That sounds like fun... Come on, let's go.

They spent the whole day riding, and after Luis returned home,

A few hours later,

(Luis) It's been a long day and mom isn't even home yet.

After Luis gets home, he showers and then heads straight to his room.

(Luis) I feel so numb right now. I feel like someone ripped my heart from my chest... Seeing Yaus brought all of those feelings I once had for him flooding back. Ashley was right. It was a mistake to trust him. Everything was a lie.

Luis, stop. I need to get my mind off things.

Hours later

Doorbell-ring, ring, knock, knock

Luis removes his headphones.

(Luis) Did I just hear the doorbell?

Luis walks over to the door, and when he opens it,

(Luis) Is anyone here? * Maybe I just imagined it.

After that, he heads to the kitchen to make some tea. He was making tea when he heard a sound and removed his headphones.

(Luis) *Am I losing my mind today? Did I just hear something coming from the back?

He walks out of the kitchen and slowly heads to his room.

Bang

(Luis) Okay, I know I heard it that time.

He walks to his bedroom door and presses his ear against it to see if it's coming from there.

Bang

(Luis) "What the fuck was that?" - opens his room door to find Yau on his bed.

(Luis) No, no, what are you doing here?
