One Piece Fan Fic

I have been thinking about a One Piece fic idea as well. It's more of a DF idea and how versatile It can be in the right hands and the correct training. It is the Wind Logia, where the user could transform into wind, produce wind, and control existing wind as well.

There is so much potential, where it could be used as a normal Logia, you could control the wind to reduce air resistance and use wind to speed you up, you could create entire tornados and hurricanes in an instant, or you can train to create small wind blades every time you punch, so you can kind of cause chip damage to opponents when fighting them.

You could also recreate attacks from other series, like a similar version of the rasengan by using wind instead of chakra. This can perhaps be used to cause large amounts of blunt damage. You could also use something like air bullets against single opponents, and like wind blades and tornadoes against large crowds.

This fruit could also allow the user to fly by lifting themselves in the air by using wind. They could also lift others as well, and with enough practice, for example, by lifting larger and larger rocks progressively, they could even left a ship or something. Another use I could think of, is to dive into the sea after giving themselves a coating of air. As long as they don't touch the water themselves, it won't affect them.

This fruit could really go to anyone, could be Luffy, an OC, or any other character. I personally see this to best fit Nami. So either Nami finds it shortly after she is forced to join the Arlong Pirates, and decides to spend the next couple of years training the fruits abilities, since she knows that the moment Arlong finds her as an actual threat, he will kill her, so she hids her abilities, and whenever she goes out to hunt for treasure, she spends that time training her devil fruit as well. She could also make use of the wind to speed her ship to speeds normally impossible, so she could certainly make a lot time to train. She could figure that Arlong would not let her buy her village back, but still has to make sure that he doesn't get suspicious, so she keeps stealing money, and also fighting as a bounty hunter to get combat experience. So she accumulates the required 100 million very quickly, but hides it away on an abandoned island where no one except could find it.

The first 10 to 15 chapters could be pre meeting Luffy, her stealing treasures and being a bounty hunter and all her training. You could also add a part where she is trying to find strong and trustworthy people to help fight Arlong, since while she may be significantly stronger than Canon, taking on a whole crew of fishman might be impossible. She could befriend Zoro, maybe some other bounty hunters or something like that. She also decides to accompany luffy because she sees what he does in shells town and how he recruited Zoro, so she decides to follow Luffy to judge his character about whether he is trustworthy or not. The following arcs can be around the same, with more combat ability shown by Nami, and after the events of Baratie, by which she will have witness Luffy fighting multiple pirate crews for the sake of others, and as she too starts to get attached to Luffy and the straw hats recently, she comes clean to Luffy and the crew about her situation, and how she would be going to face Arlong on her next visit since she believed she was strong enough to take on Arlong. Luffy and the others of course agree and well, there goes that.

A cool epithet for Nami could be Storm bringer Nami or Storm Calamity or something similar after some marines witness her sinking a pirate fleet or something. You could add storylines at any point to give more character depth and writing to all the characters.
