232 Chapter 232: Meeting at the Art Museum

As early as when Senichi greeted Heiji, Kazuha had already gotten off and ran to greet Ran.

So, Senichi didn't hold back in his speech and gestured for the two to come closer.

As they approached, Senichi lowered his voice and spoke in a hushed tone that only the three of them could hear, "So, you two are so eager to ask me these questions. Are you trying to learn from me to deal with your future father-in-law and mother-in-law~~?"

"What... what... are you joking..."

"Don't... don't tease us like that..."

As expected, upon hearing Senichi's words, the two reacted like startled cats, instantly becoming flustered with an unnatural embarrassment on their faces.

"Oh, my, look at your reactions. Are you feeling shy?"

Senichi didn't miss this chance to playfully retaliate for their teasing earlier, and once again, the air was filled with a lively atmosphere.

However, this time, the target was Heiji Hattori and Conan.

"Hey, what are you guys talking about? Why are you all so happy?" Seeing the cheerful atmosphere of the three, Kazuha and Ran also approached curiously.

"Did something interesting happen, Conan-kun?"

As the two girls got closer, Heiji Hattori and Conan's already embarrassed faces turned even redder.

"What's wrong, Conan-kun?" Ran patted Conan's head, "Why is your face suddenly so red? Did you catch a cold?"

"Oh, no, it's just a bit warm."

Thinking of Senichi's teasing earlier, Conan felt even more embarrassed but quickly tried to brush it off as if nothing happened and skillfully changed the topic.

On the other hand, Heiji's redness was not as noticeable, so he managed to avoid the situation. However, due to persistent inquiries from Kazuha, Heiji felt a bit annoyed and said, "It's nothing!! We were just talking about some things."

"Hmm?" Kazuha looked suspicious, "That sounds suspicious!"

"Yes, it does sound suspicious," Ran agreed, nodding her head. Then both of them turned directly to Senichi, hoping to get some answers from him.

"Well, it's just some secrets that men talk about," Senichi smiled slightly, diverting the topic.

Just as the two girls were about to question Heiji and Conan again, Ayako approached them, followed by Sonoko and Mr. Nishino, who was pushing a bike.

"Senichi-san, the bike you requested is ready."

Secretary Nishino pushed a handsome bike over to Senichi and smiled, "Would you like to give it a try?"

"Thank you very much." Senichi sat on the bike and took it for a spin around the area. When he returned, he expressed his satisfaction, "The bike is great, I really appreciate the thoughtfulness."

"As long as you're satisfied, Mr. Jirokichi personally picked out the best one for you. It's a top-quality product modified by a master, and its performance is guaranteed," Secretary Nishino explained with a smile, providing various data about the bike.

"I see." Senichi understood after hearing Nishino's explanation.

He was wondering how such a good bike was delivered so quickly, but if it came from Jirokichi Suzuki's collection, there was no doubt about its quality. After all, Jirokichi Suzuki's favorite vehicle was a bike, so any bike provided by him would be of top-notch quality.

However, wealthy people are really different. Senichi made the request for the bike not long ago during their casual chat at the previous meeting, and it was already prepared.

There's probably a storage facility for Jirokichi Suzuki's collection in Osaka; otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to deliver it so quickly.

"But why do you need to borrow a bike, brother-in-law?" Sonoko called him "brother-in-law" casually, without any pressure, and curiously asked as she approached the bike.

"It's for getting around. After all, Kaito Kid has a glider, flying in the sky is much more convenient than driving a car on the ground. If we want to catch up with him, a car won't be very helpful, so I thought of borrowing a bike," Senichi smiled and explained.

"I see," Sonoko nodded with understanding.

"Alright, let's not stand around here. We shouldn't delay any longer. Let's go find my dad and the others first," Ayako said, taking the lead and leading everyone towards the art museum.

Under Ayako's lead, the group arrived at the president's office within the art museum, only to find that Shiro Suzuki was currently receiving guests there.

Seeing Ayako and the others entering the president's office, Shiro Suzuki stood up and greeted them, "Mr. Mouri, thank you for coming all the way here. I really appreciate it."

"I appreciate your trust in me, and this time, please rest assured," Kogoro Mouri adjusted his tie and spoke confidently, "Even if it's Kaito Kid, he won't get his hands on the 'Memory Egg' with me here!"

"With Mr. Mouri saying that, I feel reassured," Shiro Suzuki smiled kindly and then turned to the two beside him, "Would you introduce these two young people?"

"They are Heiji Hattori and Kazuha Toyama, Dad," Ayako smiled and introduced, "Heiji is known as the 'Great Detective of the West,' quite a famous high school detective in the Kansai region, and he is a good friend of Senichi."

"That's great. With Mr. Mouri, Senichi, and Heiji, three outstanding individuals, I'm sure Kaito Kid's plan will be thwarted," Shiro Suzuki said with a relieved expression.

"Oh! Don't worry, uncle," Heiji responded casually to Shiro Suzuki's words, waving his hand nonchalantly.

"Hey! You, kid, that's too disrespectful! How dare you call President Suzuki 'uncle'," Kogoro Mouri couldn't help but get angry at Heiji's careless attitude.

"It's okay, it's okay, Mr. Mouri," Shiro Suzuki wasn't offended and smiled, trying to smooth things over, "Let me introduce them."

First, Shiro Suzuki introduced a burly middle-aged white man, "This is the Russian Embassy's first class representative, Sergei Ovchinnikov."

"Nice to meet you all," the man stood up and greeted everyone in fluent Japanese.

"Next to him is Mr. Shoichi Inui, an art dealer I invited."

The man was dressed in a red suit and had a long mustache, giving him a somewhat aged appearance.

Next, he introduced a beautiful woman, a Chinese historian specializing in the Romanov Dynasty, Seiran Hoshi.

Finally, there was a somewhat frivolous freelance filmmaker, Mr. Ryu Sagawa, who applied to shoot the treasures.

Of course, what caught Senichi's attention the most was Seiran Hoshi.

Not because she looked beautiful in her cheongsam, but because she was the culprit behind this case!

TN: Cheongsam is a one-piece Chinese dress that has its origins in Manchu-ruled China back in the 17th century
