Chapter sixteen

Once we got settled everyone got dressed and ready to go to a BBQ that was planned by Angelic. We all loaded up the car with coolers, chairs, towels, etc , then got in the car to go. Making it to the beach area we got out and started to grab our things. Setting up everybody was in a good mood. I found myself staring at Lauren as she stood in a sexy ass lime green bikini. Her big black shades hid her eyes as she tried to enjoy herself. Jordan and I fired up the grill as the ladies start to relax. Angelic turned on some music as Lauren made us all a drink. Everything was going smooth for the most part. Jordan and I finished cooking as I called our ladies for their plate. We sat down and ate in silence. Until Jordan cleared his throat. "I just want to take the time out to say thanks for joining me on this important trip. Also to my girl who made all this happen. I appreciate you girl and I want to let you know you mean a lot to me. Cheers to us." He said as we raised our cups to toast. Looking back at Lauren I could tell she was uneasy. She barely said anything since we been here. Finishing up we cleaned up our eating area and let loose. I grabbed Lauren's hand and led her to the water. Holding her hands I looked in her eyes as the water flowed under us. "Baby you good? You haven't been talking at all." I said caressing her hand. "I'm alright I guess. Would of been better if it was just me and you." She said. I grabbed her chin "Baby it is just me and you." I said then kissed her cheek. Once we played in the water for a minute we sat in the sand. Looking to my right I could see a few men walking in our direction. As they got closer I noticed two faces. One was Omar and the other was Giovanni. It was two other unknown men with them who I didn't know. The men walked up on us as Jordan and Angelic greet them. Lauren is looking at me as I watch the men closely especially Omar. His eyes quickly spots me as he notices Lauren with her hand on my lap. He mugs as they all pull Jordan to the side. The other guy who I didn't know moved from them and looked at Lauren. She moved her hand from my lap as the guy signaled her over to him. "I'll be right back." She said as she stood up. They walked off and Omar sat next to me. I'm thinking to myself he better not start shit because I'm not for the unnecessary bullshit. "Yo I never caught your name. I keep seeing you everywhere it would be nice to have a name to match the face." Omar said. "So that's what we doing? You wasn't worried about my name before." I said already irritated. "You Mr. tough guy I see. You right though I wasn't only because your ass was in the way of my business." He said. "Let me guess Maleah right?" I asked already knowing. "I'm confused is she your bitch or some? I see you and Lauren looking like a real couple. What are you some type of player or some shit. Who the fuck are you?" He asked hell of curious. "Man look I don't know you, you don't know me. Whatever business you got going is your business. As for me whatever I got going on is mines. I'm just supporting my cousin no more no less." I said starting to get up as I notice Lauren walking back towards us. Walking towards her I noticed she had tears in her eyes. I grabbed her and pulled her to the side. "Lauren what's going on? Why are you crying?" I asked her holding her in my arms. "I want to go. Cain let's just go please." She said as I looked over at the group then back at Lauren. "Okay let's go." I said as we both walked to the car to go. Making it back to the house she ran to our room. I followed behind her and closed the door. "What's going on? Talk to me." I said walking closer to her. "It's Tevin he threaten me. I'm so tired of him and you wonder why I didn't want to come. I can't stand him or Angelic and that's real." She said now pacing. "What's the beef with you and Angelic anyway?" I asked really curious. Lauren rolled her eyes hard at the question. "Just like her family she's evil as fuck. Last summer she invited me to her family's vacation house. Tevin and I were on rocky terms because he couldn't keep his hands off me. So she told me he wanted to make it up to me at the trip. Like a dummy I believed her and went. I don't know what I was thinking the Romero family always travel deep. So of course I was outnumbered. We had partied all day on a boat and things got wild. Next thing I know I was drugged and sent to a room for you know what. I was super embarrassed and the man who violated me was her sick ass uncle Gino. Let's not mention I had been recorded for them all to see." Lauren starts to cry so hard as I held her in disbelief. Damn I'm thinking this what I'm up against this shit was crazy and unbelievable. This family had to be stopped. They damn near hurt anybody who comes in contact with them and I wasn't going to let it happen to me. The whole time in my head I was thinking was this trip the right move to take. Moments later we heard the door open and shut.
