1 Chapter One: Elders

She walks down a narrow path through a forest, the wind blowing through her hair. Suddenly, a man appears in front of her. "Excuse me?" She asks bluntly. "My name is Eric, I saw you walking and when I got up, well, here we are." The man speaks. "And you are?" He asks, hoping to hear her voice. "Just someone passing through." She says coolly as she walks past him and continues walking straight. "You know, it's dangerous out here. Especially since the wolves are coming out of hibernation." He says as he trots until he is next to her, then he starts walking at her pace. "The wolves are my family," she speaks as she continues looking forward. Eric notices that her eyes widen when wolves howling can be heard. "That one is Kiro, my brother. He's calling me home. I must go."

"Will I see you tomorrow?" Eric asks her. "Maybe" she smirks as she runs toward a mountain.

The early morning rises as Eric seeks for the girl of his dreams.

"Kiro, that's mine!" The mysterious girl whines to her wolf brother. "It was mine first!" The wolf exclaims. "Yes but I caught it from the riverbank!" The girl pleads. "Now, now cubs. It's a new day. The day of the elders, you must be nice and clean for them." A wise old female wolf stands from outside the mountain den.

"But Tuli—"

"No 'buts', Kiro. Wave, I want you to help Snow with her bathing."

"Yes Tuli-ma" Wave sighs calmly as she leads the girl to the riverbank.

"It's been a week since Lopez has left. What do you think he's up to, Wave?" "I don't know, Snow. All I know right now is if you want to get clean you'll have to scrub!" She says playfully, yet with some seriousness.

After Snow has finished her bath, she and Wave head to the high rock where Tuli-ma is laying.

"Tuli, have we come at a bad time?" Asks Snow. "No, not at all. I was just praying to the Gods, hoping today would go well." Tuli-ma says coolly. "Ah, I see, we'll leave you to that" Wave says as she hints to Snow to walk with her.

"What's bothering you." Wave asks.

"Me? Nothing. Why?"

"Have you met any human boys like yourself?" Wave asks Snow curiously.

"Maybe one.. his name is Eric."

"Well I see some things never change.."

"What do you mean?"

Just as Wave was about to answer Snow's question, Kiro howls for them to come back to the high rock to meet the Elders.

"Hello, Elders who have lived before us. Who have seen defeat, but have achieved grace."

Tuli-ma begins.

"Hello, Tuli." A Elder speaks closely to her.

"What has brought you to summon us?" A stingy Elder asks, must be Saia.

"I have summoned upon the great Alvador Priestess Wolf, Youth. It seems she isn't here, I suppose."

"No. She is on a journey with a fellow leader, Shang-bo." Saia speaks once again.

"Tuli, it's getting dark. It's a full moon tonight." Snow tells Tuli-ma.

All the wolves look up at the sky in a howl, wolves from south, west, east, and north can be heard.
