2 Era of the Central Plains

Chen Hua, now known as Wang Jie from then on decided to change his name to disassociate himself from the Chen Family since he is now a waste and having the name of his family would bring unwanted attention especially the fact that he could be targeted by his rival clan.

Killing him would not bring them anything if Wang Jie had completely cut ties with the Chen family.

However, he already anticipated a lot of things and knew how his enemy would act. Wang Jie calculated everything and prepared for what had happened.

His father and mother wouldn't let him simply walk away without protection having prepared someone to protect him if anyone harm him.

Liu Ying and Zhang Mei are capable women having reached the late stage of Earthly Essence making them rather capable of defending Wang Jie from harm.

The reason why they couldn't defend themselves is because they were afraid of harming the royal prince and causing trouble for their master but things turned out for the worse.

In addition, the royal prince, even if not the crown prince of the Tianlong family, was still higher in cultivation being at the Early Stage of the Heavenly Essence.

The gap between them is rather large where it would take a hundred peak Body Tempering stages to defeat one Early Earthly Essence stage. The gap gets wider and wider the farther they are in cultivation.

Wang Jie is confident that his father sent someone who is around the Early Heavenly Essence stage to protect him at the pretext of this individual acting independent and isn't associated with his father to avoid the royal family getting angry.

'If they act smart then risk their resources against Chen family for one of their royal princes whose reputation is smeared with dirt then they won't do anything since they would lose face.'

Wang Jie knew that they aren't stupid like normal entitled clans and thought things through since the Chen family already made some compromise to avoid a civil War against the Chen family.

'The royal prince should be under watch but likely sent someone to kill me. Unfortunately, I already knew this and prepared ways to protect myself.'

He had bought some talisman and other items capable of helping him in the long run. Wang Jie knew that his father's priority was his safety and not Liu Ying or Zhang Mei.

"Youn-I mean Wang Jie, are you alright?" He shifted his gaze towards Liu Ying, currently having dinner at a bonfire.

"If there's anything bothering feel free to tell us, okay?"

Zhang Mei sat next to Liu Ying looking at their master and soon to be husband. They still feel giddy from the ordeal in becoming his consort.

"It's nothing. I am just excited about what our life would be like once we're married?" Wang Jie smiled thinking about seeing his wives smile and their children growing before their eyes.

The two blush and feel dreamy at the idea of having a quiet and fulfilling life. People would feel obligated to have ambitious dreams like becoming the pinnacle of power but for Wang Jie it isn't the end goal and simply wish for strength to not be trampled nor trample on others.

"What about you two? Any thoughts about our life in the future?"

Their hearts pounding producing a vivid image of a simple life with their growing family.

"I-It's sound amazing. I'm more than happy to spend my life with you." Zhang Mei said, smiling blissfully.

"Agree, there's nothing more fulfilling in a simple quiet life." Liu Ying shared her thoughts about the idea.

They didn't care much about cultivation since the road is long and unforgiving. Wang Jie felt the same way since his previous life only wanted a simple fulfilling life in having a family filled with smiles and happiness.

"I'm glad you two are on board. I will make sure the two of you and our children are happy." Wang Jie said as they were happy to hear his words.

"Our children…what do you want to be our first child to be?" Liu Ying asked.

"I don't care if they were born a boy or a girl, I'll love them regardless." Wang Jie answered.

"Personally I think having a daughter would be nice." Zhang Mei said.

"Same but a son is good too." Liu Ying said.

Wang Jie nodded hearing this and was mesmerized by their smile and love for him. He took them on a whim because his morals and principles as a modern man hadn't fully been removed and hadn't adapted to the change.

Zhang Mei is more open and mature than Liu Ying was carefree and social. But one thing is certain. They were obsessed with Wang Jie and would do anything for him.

"Right, You-I mean Wang Jie do you plan on finding a solution in fixing your meridian?" Zhang Mei asked.

"I am but that can come later. I'm not worried about my mortality because everyone dies in one way or another. There is no shame in it anyway."

Wang Jie answered with amazing confidence that most people would drown in sorrow for losing power but he didn't care about it.

What is the use of power when you don't have any purpose to use it?

"You're truly a strange one, Wang Jie." Liu Ying said receive a smack from Zhang Mei.

"Owww! What was that for!?" She pouted in annoyance while Zhang Mei glaring at her.

"How can you speak like that to our Wang Jie!?" She shot back.

"You could at least warn me instead of smacking me!" Liu Ying roared in annoyance.

"Until you stop being too carefree then I'll reconsider!" Zhang Mei scolded as the two bicker at the simple things and Wang Jie couldn't help but chuckle.

"Alright enough you two. We don't want to accidentally destroy this place do you?"

Wang Jie felt heavy with the pressure they were producing but kept his composure and collected himself. He was simply a mortal and an Earthly essence isn't something many would hoped to gain.

Nearby sects that are ranked from Low, Middle and Top ranked sect with Top sect having deep history and houses at least one Early stage of Tribulation Realm.

Those who reach Early stages of the Tribulation realm would have to face a devastating calamity produced by the world to stop them from ascending further due to going against nature. It takes long preparation, resources and talent to reach the Tribulation Realm where most would die because of it.

This is the reason why there are only a few Tribulations across the southern continent. Wang Jie was a scholar and cultivator having learned about the planet he currently resides on.

The planet is called Central Plains having four major continents from Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern continents. In addition to housing approximately 3,000 subsidiary realms containing the entire pocket dimension.

This realm was mostly made by higher cultivators beyond the Tribulation Realm.

There are also dangerous continents such as the Demon continent, Beast Continent, Giant Continent, etc.

There are countless races residing in the Central Plains with some races having a peaceful treaty with the human race such as the Giant Race and Beast Race.

As for the Demon continent, the Human race couldn't have a peaceful negotiation due to the arrogance in a few subraces of the Demon race.

Hundred thousand years ago during the "Golden Era" of the Central Plains where the Tribulation Realm was nothing but the beginning of cultivation and beyond this realm lived on the planet until a large-scale war had occurred called the "Great Devastation Era" that lasted for ten thousand years.

This war had wiped the majority of the powerhouses in this Era resulting in massive irreparable damages caused by the war resulting in all races to be severely weakened along.

Countless lost Knowledge and cultivation methods had been destroyed with forgotten history erased. This Era was now called the "Six Heavenly Life" representing the four major continents and the two other continents or "Fallen Demon Era" for demons due to being severely weakened by the three major races.

This deep rooted hatred could not be repaired even after a hundred thousand years. The demons were extremely powerful lead by someone named The Crimson Demon Emperor that sought to conquer all continents and exert his dominions to all races forcing the Beast, Giant and Human race to fight against the Demon God.

The outcome of the world shaking battle between the strongest of each race such as the Beast Emperor, Colossi Emperor and Ancient Emperor to die in order to kill the Crimson Demon Emperor.

If using Modern Weapon as scale then Peak Body Refinement are capable of destroying entire city blocks and survive fighting for days to no end.

A Peak True Essence Realm would be a natural calamity capable of destroying an entire continent with a single attack and the Tribulation Realm could swat them like flies.

The size and scale of Central Plains is vast, approximately ten times the size of earth. Normally this scale would heavily distort any lifeform inside and yet the Laws within the planet function differently.

"Ah, sorry, Wang Jie." The two immediately apologize and the pressure dissipates instantly allowing Wang Jie to breathe a lot more easily.

"It's fine, just be careful. Mortals can be fragile and I don't want unnecessary bloodshed to happen."

Wang Jie sees mortal life as precious, unlike those who became entitled by their accomplishment. He keeps himself grounded and feels the world in every eye.

He is humble even though his demeanor appears cold and distant.

"It would be horrible for innocent people to die from the pressure you exude. Luckily we're far from any human settlement." Wang Jie said and the two nodded briefly, swallowed by silence until Liu Ying spoke.

"Wang Jie, can I ask a question?"

"You already did." Wang Jie jokingly said.

"That's not what I meant! Ah, sorry for shouting." Liu Ying said and Wang Jie shook his head.

"It's fine. Now tell me what you want to ask?"

"I just want to know why you are always kind and humble even those below you? Almost all people said that the strong trample on the weak except you. Even now you are indifferent even after you have become a cripple, why is that?"
