CHAPTER 1

Esmarin's POV

I found myself with restraints in a small room with no windows nor doors.

"What's going on?!" I said while struggling to get out of the restraints. "Let me out!" I shout at the top of my lungs but no one answered.

What the hell is happening?! AGH! My head hurts!

"Threat level unspecified. A bystander has mentioned that her eyes were green." A voice resonates in the room that you are in. "Then she is a Panna then?" you heard another voice talking to the other. "We're still not sure. We need to observe her in the meantime."

"GET ME OUT OF HERE! BASTARDS!" you struggle but suddenly you saw gas going through the vent that opened you fainted.

This gas is... Why?

"SOA is neutralized. Take her to her room to the Panna's dorm" the voice slowly fades.

SOA? I'm not! This is a big misunderstanding! Mom! Rin! Anyone, please help me…

"Oi! You awake?" she wakes you in a bossy tone. "Ahm… Who are you?" my headaches, and my vision is still blurry. "Hm… I'm Saine a Panna and you are?" she waited for your reply. "Esmarin… But what is a Panna?" she laughed loudly. "Aren't you a SOA? I mean everyone knows their level" after she said that you realized. "This is a misunderstanding! I know that I'm not a SOA! They remember their past life right?! But I don't!" you shaking and you curled yourself up.

No… I'll get out of here. They'll realize that I'm not a SOA.

"Not all SOAs remember their past life at first. Some have been wandering in the abyss for a long time so they are lucky to forget the past. Unlike me… I killed my own family…" she started to cry and looked at me. "You're lucky… You don't remember your sin…" she left your room.

I feel sorry for her but I need to get out of here! I don't belong here.

I ran out as fast as I could but as you go out. You see SOAs fighting each other and one looked at me.

"Hey… You're new aren't you?" a tall and brunette-haired guy with a scar on his face and is somewhat looking for a fight.

Is he going to kill me?

"Since you're from the Panna dorm then I suppose that I'm stronger than you…" his eyes turn into blue and were ready to attack. "Call your sensius and come at me." He said in a serious tone. "Ah… There is a misunderstanding… I'm not a SOA… So I don't have sensius… I'll go now…" as I turned back, he appeared out of nowhere. "Don't make me laugh. They don't make mistakes here. So it appears that you don't know how to call your sensius yet. But I'm not that impatient." he walked away. "I'll be waiting for you to fight me" he waved his hand and disappeared. "What a weird guy but… It seems like that I can't escape here… There are security cameras all around… And I suppose there are traps hidden if you try to escape… I should head back then…" I walked back remembering the things mom told me about SOA's.

I only know a few things about SOAs… They are dangerous beings that have powers called sensius… AHHHHH! Why can't remember anything else?

NEXT DAY

"Panna users!" a sound from a speaker wakes you up. "What's going on?" you rub your eyes as you get up. "Report to the main ground immediately!" then it stops. "Better be going then" you readied yourself since you don't have a choice.

/MAIN GROUND/

You see the other SOAs being chaotic in their places. "So this is all the Panna users?" suddenly someone startled you from behind. "Of course not! You seem new here" a girl with green medium long hair smiles at you while holding something on her back. "Ah… Yeah… What's that behind you?" you couldn't hold your curiosity so you asked. "Oh… You mean this?" she smiled while showed me a bag of knives.

This girl is dangerous.

"You can trust me. I won't hurt you… I swear" she held up her hand but you don't seem to be convinced. "I only use knives for my sensius which is Dart… I'm only able to manipulate weapons like knives, swords, and bullets…" she explained while looking at her bag.

Should I run or something? I feel uncomfortable right now.

"Oops… My bad! My name is Liz Orman… What's yours?" she smiled at you while holding out her hand. "Esmarin Dixtrie…" you just held her hand to not piss her off. "Nice to meet you Esmarin! Let's be friends." an ominous vibe suddenly fills the air.

"To all SOAs here new and old! Training is about to begin! If you manage to survive then you'll stay but if not" the main ground suddenly became so quiet that you feel like you're deaf.

Who is this guy… The head of this organization? Is the SOA too?

"Then better be ready to go back home" his eyes were piercing through my head. I felt scared and hopeless… "That is all" he went away and the SOAs seem like are dispersing. "Esmarin! Let's go" she pulled me while I remained clueless.

There was a woman about in her 20's standing in front of all of the SOAs with her sensius awakened. "Come at me if you dare" it was complete silence and no one moved. "You guys are so boring until now… Then I'll choose" she looked around and I lowered my head. "You! Girl with blackish gray hair from the back" she pointed at you and smirked. "Come here."

I couldn't say no because her presence was overwhelming but it's not the same as that guy from before. But her words are like absolute… What the heck is her sensius?! I arrived at the front.

"Awaken your sensius" she stands there while waiting. "Well? Hurry up! I'm itching for a spar that can satisfy me" she held her hands on her waist. "Uhm… I don't know how… Can't I just go home as the guy said earlier?" she laughed at the top of her lungs. "Are you kidding me? Going home means going back to the abyss in other words… You'll die…" she walked around you. "A SOA's sensius can be activated on her or his will when he/she feels bloodlust the first time …" she held my face while I turned pale. "I'll be taking your soul then" she had a smug smile on her then I couldn't move my body anymore.

What's going on?! I'm in a bottle?!

Hikaru's POV

You fell down to the ground. "No fun… Who else?" she looked around but you rose up. "Ah…" you held your neck. "How the hell are you standing?!" everyone in the field became shocked. "Hm… You're familiar… Oh well… That idiot should have called me" you walked close to the woman. "Your eyes are red so you're a garnet! HA! I'M A IOLITE! YOU CAN'T BEAT ME!" her legs are shaking in fear. "Oh? Look again" you removed the hair that was covering your other eye. "Wait! Red and Yellow eyes? That i-impossible… Why can't I move?!" you see her eyes are scared. "I can't too!" a scream from the back. "What the hell is her sensius?!" a girl screamed.

Yes… Those faces, but this woman here is the best… It warms up my heart… Give me more of that!

You held her chin and kick her knees. "AHHHHH!" she screamed in agony. "HAHAHA! More! I want it!" you kick her until she bleeds. "Oi! Is that all? I thought you were boasting remember?!" as you kick once more, you felt a headache. "I get it! Ish!" you took the woman's bottle and broke it. "Just call me when it's really fun… Don't you dare disappoint me Esmarin…" you suddenly switched with Esmarin.

Esmarin's POV

You opened your eyes and you see them cowering in fear. The woman who has used her sensius is bleeding in pain. "What happened?" you stepped back as you see her rising.

W-what did I do?! I haven't even done anything yet… AH! She's coming closer!

"You… What is your name?" she walks toward me and held my shoulder. "Tell me your name, kid." She says it in a scary tone. "U-um… I'm Esmarin Dixtrie Ma'am" you stuttered while shaking in fear. "Esmarin? What is your sensius and what kind of SOA are you?" she grips your shoulder tighter. "I don't have a sensius…" she raises her head. "Are you kidding me?! You just fought me even though my sensius allows me to take people's souls" her wounds are fading. "AH! Your wounds!" I stepped back. "Well… This one of my sensius abilities… I can heal myself but it tires me on how much the damage is. Allow me to formally introduce myself" she bows in a gentle manner. "Yill Voide an Iolite and my sensius are Soul Reave. I have high expectations from you Esmarin Dixtrie… That was one of the most blood-curling fights that I had…" She walks away.

I fought her?! She's kidding, right?

"Esmarin! Are you okay?" she came running worried. "I'm fine Liz… Did I fight her?" you look at her confused. "You don't remember?" you just shook your head. "So you're telling me you awakened your sensius without realizing it? Wait… That's impossible!" she holds my shoulders. "All SOAs can use their sensius at will… But you're kind of different" she rubs her chin while thinking. "How different?" I asked her confused. "Well… Panna users have green eyes they're the least dangerous. The Azure users like me have blue eyes so we're the kind of more dangerous. The Garnet users have red eyes so they're already a threat. Then like our instructor Yill an Iolite has violet eyes and they are the most dangerous ones... But then…" she points at her eyes. "Yours is red in the left and yellowish gold in the right… It's none in the hierarchy… And your sensius is strong…" she looks at you in a very serious.

This is very confusing to process... Me? But I felt very strange while my soul was stolen.

"6 were found dead" the announcement machine resonated in sub grounds. "Really? Today was less" Liz said that in a blunt way. "Oops! I forgot to tell you that we need to survive or else…" she puts her arms in her waist. "We die" she smiles and puts her arms in her nape. "Well… You'll be fine since you're strong" she said bluntly.

AFTER THREE DAYS

"I haven't been able to use my sensius since…" you mess your hair. "AHHHH! This is annoying!" you lowered your head and you noticed a shadow forming in your way. "You…" he strangled your neck and slammed you to the wall. "UHH! L-le-let me go!" you try to break but he's strong. "Yo-you bastard" you cough and feel faint. "You're the big shot that everyone is talking?" he just smirks and awakened his sensius. "Fight me" his eyes turned red and black slender like branches are rising and squirming from the ground.

What wrong with this idiot?! I can't breathe...

"Le-let m-me go…" I somehow feel something in me again. "Well? If not…" he looks at you in a perverted way. "I'll help myself then" he lifts my shirt up but then I felt another headache. "AHHHHHH" I screamed in pain and then the guy lets me go.

Hikaru's POV

"I'll kill you!" you charge at him and his sensius wrapped you and he laughed. "I can still move you bitch! HAHAHA! They were over-exaggerating" one of branched like sensius stabs your right leg. "AHHH! Hahaha" you laughed at him. "I won't use my sensius, you bastard. I wouldn't be fun right?" a dark appears on your right hand. "Abyssal weapon! Izanami no kami!" you smiled as a sword appeared in your hand and slashed the branch-like sensius of his. "What the- How? Can you use an abyssal weapon?!" he fell down to the ground and you swiftly go near him.

There's someone else who can use this?

"Tell me" you smiled while raised his chin with your sword. "U-uh… I don't know him" he sweats while he looks at your sword. "You bitch!" he attacks you but he and his sensius stopped. "Don't make me ask you again" you used your sensius and grew impatient. "I don't know" he sat there scared. "Useless" you went near his ear and whispered. "If you see the bastard then say hi for me" you slashed his head off.

I wish I had my men. They could give me information. I miss this sight.

"Tad! What's going on? We saw a light from-" they awakened their sensius and you put your sword in front of your mouth. "Two garnets and an azure… I'll make this quick…" you killed them in a matter of seconds. You looked up into the moon. "Ah… How I wish that I could find…" you heard a rustling in the back. "Esmarin? Did you kill them? Is that your sensius?" he looked at you with a smile. "What if I did?" you go near him. "Hey" you look at him. "Look after her for a while" your abyssal weapon disappeared like soft fireflies dispersing. "Hey!" he caught you and you faint.

Esmarin's POV

"Uh…" you held your head and saw that weird guy again. "You!" you point at him. "I'm Xion okay?" he looked at you in a teasing way. "Why are-" you saw the dead bodies that surrounded you. "What… happened?" you look at him shocked. "You killed them remember?" he said bluntly. "No… That's impossible… I fainted…" you held your head.

No… That can't be… He's lying!

"You two!" a guy with black hair and silver eyes is standing at the top of the wall. "Go back to your dorms" he went down and stared at me. "Who are you?" he went near you.

This is weird… But… I feel…

"None of your business" Xion puts his hand in between us. "Let's go" he walks away and you followed him. "Do you know him?" you asked him while keeping up with him. "No..." he said in an emotionless way. "WHAT! What if he's pissed off?! And hurts you!" he stops and his face is close to you. "Are you worried about me?" he smirked.

This guy… Is…

You stepped on his foot. "AH! What was that for?!" he looks at you pissed. "You idiot! Why wouldn't I be!" his face then lightens after you said that.
