18 18. Fusion Core Generator

After that, they went to Nora's house to celebrate the finishing of the project with a BBQ and some beer that Sico's group brought from Diamond City. When the party was over it was already night so they said goodbye to each other and went back to their own place to get some rest.

The next day, Sico went to Nora to talk about the trip to find Shaun, surprisingly Nora said that she put the trip on hold after what he told her yesterday. Nora said that she wanted to help the minutemen first and rebuild them from the ground again, then Nora asked Sico that is he could build a radio tower because they needed them to attract someone to their settlement.

Sico tells her that he can and will start making it today then she says thanks and leaves him because she has something else to do. Maybe she already started taking the responsibility to become a leader Sico thinks. Then he starts right away making the radio tower, gathers the resources he needs then goes on making it.

After an entire day to make it, the radio tower is finally done. He went to Nora to tell her about it, when he arrived at her house he saw her finish taking a bath and she was shocked to see him so she ran to her room. Sico was flushed while waiting for her to come out of her room, he didn't expect to come at the wrong time but Sico thought that she was really gorgeous.

After waiting for a few minutes, Nora finally came out of her room and approached Sico.

Nora: "Well what do you want Sico? You know you did come not at the right time."

Sico: "Sorry about that, I just want to tell you that the radio tower is finished and you could ask Preston and Sturges to set it up."

Nora: "Really!? Thank you, Sico, it means a lot to us. You know we need to gather people so we can rebuild ourselves then when we have enough people, we can train them to become a soldier and then send them to help the other settlement to help them while telling them that we the minutemen are back."

Sico: "Congratulations Nora, if the minutemen need help regarding technology, medicine, or some training you can ask us. Just so you know Jenny is really a good doctor, Curie is a robot that has existed to research and make a cure for a disease, Robert is really good at training people, and Me well you know what my specialists are."

Nora: "Thank you, Sico, I appreciate it."

Sico: "You Welcome, so I'm taking my leave. it's already late and I should head back to the vault."

Nora: "Okay Sico, take care then goodbye."

After leaving Nora's house, Sico went back to the vault. While taking the elevator down to the vault, Sico thinks that maybe tomorrow he should build the fusion core generator. Because after this there will be many people in the Sanctuary and with that, they will need a lot of electricity.

When he arrived at the vault, he went to the dining area and saw that Jenny and Robert were eating dinner so he went to join them.

Jenny: "There you are, you're late for dinner come join us."

Robert: "Yeah where have you been? I thought you would stay in your room and focus on making technology on your laptop."

Sico: "Oh I went to Nora to ask her about the trip that we are supposed to go but she says that she holds it first and focuses on helping the Minutemen. And by the way, Nora is their leader now so at least have some respect for her when talking to her in front of her people."

Jenny: "What!? That's awesome, she really brave enough to take that responsibility."

Robert: "Yeah I can not see that in her before you know to take a big role like that."

Sico: "Well she has to, that is her destiny while finding her son."

Jenny: "Hmm? What do you mean about her destiny?."

Sico: "Nothing and why I'm late because she asked me to build some radio tower for the minutemen to attract settlers to their base."

Jenny: "So that's why you're late for."

Sico: "Yup and tomorrow guys we will build something new for us and the settlement."

Robert: "Really now? I can wait."

Jenny: "What we will build tomorrow?."

Sico: "You will know that tomorrow."

After that, they finished their dinner and went back to their room to get some rest. The next day Sico gathered Robert and Jenny and then invited Nora to tell them what they build today.

Sico: "So guys today we will build a generator but it will be powered by a fusion core. You guys should have known it because it's from the pre war era."

Nora: "Wait how could you make the blueprint? I mean it will be difficult you know to make one because they have to be stable otherwise the fusion core will explode."

Jenny: "Don't worry about that Nora, Sico has always been a genius in technology he can see the tech blueprint if he can see the real one."

Nora: "How is that possible?."

Sico: "I don't know about that, but I will use this gift to make a new tech or recreate the old one."

Robert: "So what do we need to build it?."

Sico: "Well with the resources we have it will not be enough so I think you, me, Nora, Preston, and Sturges go to Concord and get one in the museum."

Robert: "Roger that I go get them."

Sico: "Good, Jenny prepare the 2 Brahmin with a cart to pull because we will need them."

Jenny: "Roger that."

Nora: "Are you sure about this Sico?."

Sico: "Don't worry Nora, everything will be fine besides we need to build it to sustain the electricity on the Sanctuary since you will start recruiting people soon."

Nora: "Thank you again, Sico, really for everything that you did for us and me."

Sico: "You welcome, now let's start working."

After that, Robert arrives with Preston and Sturge, and they have already been briefed by Robert on the way here. Then Jenny arrived bringing the Brahmins with a cart, while they were getting ready Sico went back to the vault to get the power armor and use it for moving the fusion core generator later.

When the preparation was done, they set off to Concord to get the fusion core generator located at the museum. On the way to Concord, there was no enemy on their trip so they reached Concord faster than expected. When they arrive at the museum, Sico tells Robert to stand guard outside while he and the others go inside the museum to get the generator.

When they got inside, they went to the basement where the generator was located. Then Sico and Sturges turned off the generator and went to dismantle the wire that plugged into the generator.

After that, they bring the generator outside and place it on the cart. With Sico using the power armor, makes moving the generator isn't hard enough, and doesn't take much time to move it to the cart.

After finishing moving the generator to the cart, they went back to the Sanctuary. When they arrive at the Sanctuary, they bring the generator to Sico's old house and place it beside the house. Sico tells Robert to call Jenny to bring the Brahmins back to their place while Sico goes back to the vault to place his power armor there.

When Sico arrived at the vault, he removed the power armor in his room gathered his tools and resources then brought them to the surface. After he arrives at the generator, Sico asks Sturges to help him fix and connect the generator to the Sanctuary electricity system.

Because the generator structure is very complex, it takes time and focus so it takes a long time to fix it. After a week they finally fixed the generator and started to plug it into the power cord, so that the electricity could light up the whole Sanctuary in the future.

When the generator is plugged into the power cord, Sico places the fusion core he has to try to see if the generator can work and stabilize the fusion core. Sico plugged the fusion core into the generator and then turned on the generator, while Sturges saw the generator condition on the terminal they got in the Sanctuary.

After Sturges reports that the generator is working nicely, everyone is happy and excited because they know that the generator is working and they can have an infinite amount of electricity. Then Nora says that they should celebrate the success of the generator and then everyone starts to prepare for the party, Sico and Robert go to Drumlin Diner to buy some food and booze because they have to resupply some of the supplies and buy some for the party.

When they got back, they saw everyone already done setting up Nora's house as the party spot, and then Sico and Robert brought the supplies they bought to Jenny so that she could start cooking the food for the party. Then after waiting for a while, the food is ready so they start the party.

While everyone chatting and eating food together, Nora went to Sico, and started talking to each other about what they wanted to do in the future. While they chat with each other they don't realize that they getting intimate, when they realize they start turning red and then quickly part ways.

After some time the party is over because it's getting late, so everyone starts cleaning up the place and returns it to its previous look. When the place is already clean and returns to its previous look, everyone goes back to their place to get some rest.
