Chapter Two

"W-w-what should we do, m-m-ma`am?" The corporal would repeat himself; stuttering this time a little frantic as if he was unclear that I heard or understood him or not. I, on the other hand, wished I didn't hear him. Cleary shook up by this massively fucked up situation, However emotions we're justifiable at this point. I wished that this was a fucking dream; A messed up bad monster movie type of dream where you can still see the strings on the Muppet, move and tug the creature kind of thing. Heh, wishful thinking though Bonnie always like the cheesy old flicks like that. I didn't hear him right? But I could've had technically heard him incorrectly after all my ass pretty much felt like I got beat around for fun.

there's no way I would be the only one left as my head would spin a mile a minute "These no way.... someone other than me has to be alive to give orders anyone other than me---right?" the sad words escape my lips as I looked at the sad eyes of the people around me. Grasping at any signs of hope I could not be the highest one. I can feel myself hyperventilating, slowly losing myself to the panic and despair that filled the air of copper and smoke. shaking in pain I tried to bring myself back to reality and take a deep breath I trying to calm my mind. I can't tremble at a time like this and let my impulses take over that's being weak but for fuck sake, I wasn't trained for this! and I don't want to die.....no one dose...."Ok!" nodding to them. Be strong LaVonne for them! we can't stay here any longer first thing's first we need to go look around--we need warm bodies.

" corporal...!" I began to yell but my voice was drowned and cut short by an ear-popping shriek. The shriek itself would move the ground, vibrating it unnaturally. Sadly, just to make things worse as the boom would shake was already unstable ground most areas started or were about to start to cave in on itself. Having nowhere to step now was the least of the worries. From what was most concerning would be when I looked in the Direction of the monster titan. It was started to move. But that wasn't the bad part, I was kind of hoping it would go in the other direction and just left us alone. there's no point in kicking a dead horse, right? but it..it was coming...it was coming straight for us. Each step that abomination took was like an incoming missile and this island was the target of all its hate.

"We need to move....." The shock of my voice came as a whisper at first." WE NEED TO MOVE NOW!" I yelled in a panic. "GET ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ABLE TO RUN AND LEAVE THE ONES THAT CANT. GET EVERYONE TO THE ESCAPE BOATS AND HEAD SOUTH TO THE NEXT OUTPOST WE DON'T HAVE TIME...MOVE" frantically I gave the order and watch them scatter to follow. I know what I said was right but honestly, in my heart, I knew we didn't have the time. "God help us," I said as I looked back to the monster as it steadily fallowed its course to our direction. As I watched it move closer. Each long step made it look bigger and bigger or should I say taller. Soon its true height would be revealed. My body would involuntarily shake as I take one last look of where my home use to be. To my surprise I saw it, without hesitation, I ran towards it. Pass the moans for help and the cries of death gripping at my feet. I ran and ran to the station. I think I'll be able to make more time for them to escape.

My heart was beating the closer I gotten to the station the more I notice the sound of water bursting through the pipes and the steam heating the air around me and fire that spread in the hollow corridors cooking the flesh of the dead skin of the people who use to have faces. well, it's a good thing I didn't like everyone. there was no annoying security dick weed to go past this time because what was once a door is now a huge hole. Taking a breath, I look towards the direction of where the boats should be. They look like ants, but I can view the soldiers and whoever else they have found boarding boats. There is still hope if the cannon still intact I can make more time. the chain I had thankfully did not break. so I was still able to use it. The chain gave off a light glow of blue letting it's magic help me pick up speed. Running down where the head office use to be. The monster would let out another blood-wrenching roar behind me. "I need to hurry..." I would repeat in my head as I race down the huge hall. Why did we make this so long again?

A robotic voice would ding across the room ~End of visual transmission~

A blue-violet hollow gram cut off in brakes into scattering static and then turns into a white hum of noise, " That's all that way able to play, Sir all the memory we can extract from her brain. No matter what we do it always ends there." What did she see and what happened? Hmmmmmm I wonder if it is still even there "things are not adding up. " in a low voice filled with annoyance "How did 132 people survive an attack like that? That Island was full of 80,000 people most was a highly skilled soldier. There lifeblood!" His voice would drop into a husky growl " how did humankind have this setback and lose a valuable Outpost." shaken the woman would reply carefully "Sir there not much we can do without her information, we can't move on with her until she wakes up. I know It very frustrating that we can't get that much information on that day but at this point, we have to be patient." Someone or something killed that high-level Titan and whatever it was by looking at the battle scene that was left there should not have been any survivors let alone 132 of them. thinking out loud the man would say "We need to start asking the survivors questions and lest hurry they faster we can find out how to kill a Titan the fast we can reclaim our planet. That's an order!" "Yes, Sir!"

Corporal Ho Lee Fuk age 27. "I know this is a little bit odd and out of sorts for you but we appreciate you working with us. you should have known that this was coming sooner or later I just must apologize on how early it is after the death of your younger brother. We just want to know what happened that day please tell us what you can remember." Ho shuffled in his seat still covered in bruises. Breathing slowly still getting used to his new artificial lungs. He would low his voice to cover the rage he felt before speaking clearly "All I wanted to be is a grunt and work in the kitchen with the love of my life Donna. I didn't want to fight, and they said this Island have had no monster activity in 8 years. This was any grunts haven. The safest job anyone was lucky enough to get. But ever since that team has gotten transferred, things went so-so-so wrong in the past week real fast. I mean fuck people from the old site said that working with those Titan Hunters will bring you death. There the reason titan attack in the first place. They attract the titans to their location for fun I mean there no coincidence that for eight straight years nothing happens to that Island and after six months something big like that hits and kills almost everyone!" anger showing in his voice.

"Mr. Wong please calm down and lower your voice the walls have ears ya know. I understand what you went through was horrific so I see why you would be in a messed up state but all we are asking what happened that day? anything that hit you as odd and more importantly how did you survive?" The interrogation woman would softly grab my right hand and gently I can tell she squeezed my head. The hard wall that I tried to put up broke down as tears would flow down my cheeks. Concerned she asked me "What's wrong?" Quivering as I spoke with my eyes full of tears " I can't feel".
