The next morning, I wake up and the first thing I look at is the ring on my finger. A goofy smile sprawls to my face as I remember last night. I don't know what time we finally closed our eyes. I felt like I could stay up all night in his arms. We talked about the wedding, talked about starting this new chapter in our lives.

I have never been more excited about anything in my life.

I stretch my hands out and he is not on the bed anymore. turning slowly, I look out the window. The sun is out and shining bright, my heart is beating to the beautiful tune of Trick—everything seems right with the world. my phone rings loudly on the bedside table. I reach for it and see a call from Lance.

The second I press the phone into my ear, he screams loudly "You fucking got engaged?'' he yells into the phone.
