I don't know why I asked him. 

I just need some control right now and Jack is the only one that can give it to me. He is the only one that makes me feel worth something…anything. He seems to think that my father is not dead, that this was their plan all along but I don't even know. He didn't see what I saw last year. He looked dead and it will be a miracle if he is still alive. 

I wish he was because I am tired of having to deal with their drama. I just want to let go of them and be happy with Jack. 

"Are you sure?'' I ask him, wanting to be a hundred percent sure that he is not just agreeing to this because I asked. If there is any part of him that feels uncomfortable about this. I will not force it. I look up at his expression, wanting to read him. I can always tell what he is thinking from his eyes and right now, he looks indifferent and a little bit worried.
