1 Getting Married?

If anyone were to describe him in one word, most of them would say... lifeless. Yes, he was like a living doll; moving but dead, breathing but lifeless. He had been living his life this way from the moment that woman left him.

"Xuan Li." A soft voice called, waking him up from his daydream. He turned around to look at the gentle voice's owner before giving a gentle smile.

He was the reason why he still alive, breathing. He's the only reason why he still need to exist in this world. If he was gone, what about this man? How could he possibly continue living if he left this shitty world? That's why no matter how much he wanted to end his life, he couldn't do it; because of this man.

There were several red lines around his eyes, some wrinkles had already start to appear on this old face. This man's face had always look like this: old and exhausted. But somehow today, his face regained its youthful look; his face shone with gentle light, it's like he had finally found a happiness he lost 15 years ago.

"Dad? What happen? You look so happy today." Xuan Li asked softly. His bright eyes clearly screamed happiness when he saw his father like this. Mind you, it'd been so long he saw this kind of face on his father; since that woman left.

Xuan Ming laughed like he owns the world. He was definitely happy right now, and if possible he wanted to share his happiness with the whole world; his son. But he was worried that his son would be mad at him and he didn't want that.

Seeing his dear father grinning like a fool made his gaze soften again. He admitted that his father was a very handsome man. Most people wouldn't believe him if he said he was 41 years old since he looked so much like a man in his late twenties. If they stood side by side, many would mistook them as brothers. Not that he minded tho; as he inherited his father good look.

Xuan Li was 23 years old this year. Frankly speaking, this was such a prime age where someone found their life partner but not him. For him, he only cared for this man. He had already decided to devote his entire life for this man.

Xuan Ming knew this, but no matter how hard he tried to convince this young man that he was fine on his own, he had never been successful. He wanted his son to find his own life, to focus on himself rather than this old man. But to convince him, he needed to show this young lad that he was fine now.

The man came closer before pulling the pretty and handsome lad to the couch. He was worried about his reaction but he didn't want this son of his to spend his entire life for him. Xuan Ming breathed in deeply before uttering a sentence;

Xuan Ming: "I'm getting married."
