Chapter 31: Meet and Greet

When they arrived at the base in the QGDZ bus, it was already dark out. Lianne was the last to step out of the bus and Lianne stopped in her tracks when she met the guys bowing in greeting to a man and a woman. "Daddy!!!" Lianne shrieked like a 4 year old baby as she ran to hug her dad who had his arms stretched out to receive her, totally ignoring the lady with her dad."My princess, how are you doing?" "I'm fine daddy" Lianne replied not letting go of her dad. "So you decided to play in the competition" her dad said making Lianne pout her lips in a cute way. "Are you mad at me?" Lianne asked carefully"Of course I am. You broke the rules. You snuck out of the house, went out without any guards, drove the car and used the helicopter. Not only did you use the helicopter, you also flew it yourself, princess." Her father scolded but didn't raised his voice on her. He had never raised his voice on her."I know. I'm sorry" Lianne apologised. "Uncle, aunty, it's getting cold outside how about we go in and I could prepare a room for you both" Zac suggested and her dad agreed and followed Zac to the room with Lianne clinging to his arm still ignoring the woman.*Few moments later*"Princess I understand that you are still acting in disbelief" her dad said but Lianne replied "dad, I'm not living in unbelief. My mom died in front of my eyes, I buried her, became autistic when I was barely 2, had a rough past because of her death. Dad, my mom is dead and buried and she's not coming back to life. Even if she's reincarnated, it'll take years for that to happen and I probably wouldn't even be alive by then" Lianne said trying her best to stop her tears from coming out."Princess..." the lady said before being cut off by Lianne "It's Oliannah". "If this is why you're here, dad I don't think there's anything to talk about so I'll have to retire to bed because I have something to do tomorrow" Lianne said standing up. She walked up to her dad and pecked him on the cheek and told him goodnight before leaving the room.After he left, he sighed before saying to the lady beside him. "At least she did not take it hardly but now how do we get her to accept you?" Her father said frustrated and the lady tapped his back softly.Meanwhile, in another room at the other side of the building, the guys sat together discussing. "Who do you guys think the lady is?" Dami asked. He realized that Lianne completely ignored her. "She's probably Lianne's dad's secretary or assistant" Alex said. "I don't think so. Although Lianne looks a lot like her dad, she also has some resemblance to the woman" Xavy said. "What do you think, Jordy?" Drawing Jordy out of his reverie."I don't know" Jordy said before getting up to leave for his room. He said goodnight to the guys before leaving. He decided to stop at Lianne's room first to check how she was. The girls already told him about everything that happened even the part that Lianne didn't even know yet so he knew exactly who that lady was and everything that happened. He also knew how Lianne's mother was still alive despite being buried years ago.After making sure she was sleeping soundly, he went to his room to finally get some rest. It had been a long day. From dealing with jade, to finding Lianne's parents at their base to evading questions from the guys about the strange woman.He was finally going to have a date with Lianne the next day and he couldn't wait. Hopefully, everything would go on well. While they had a good night's rest, some people were working hard towards ruining their next day.
