Chapter 21

"Where are you going?" He finally asked. I contemplated lying to him so he wouldn't ask questions but that wasn't the best choice. Not when it was my aim to find the best chance to tell him the truth about myself.

"My family called me over," I stated, then I realized that didn't explain anything. I cleared my throat. "Well, I sort of…ran away."

He was confused. I could see it in his eyes that he wanted to ask. However, probably because Rory was right there with us, he didn't. He nodded in understanding. "I'll need you back soon since I have to attend a meeting this afternoon. Will that be okay?"

"Yes, thanks."

Now that we had nothing to talk about, I had more time to do one of those things I shouldn't be doing. I stared at his lips once again, but that was nothing compared to his fiery gaze on me. He was eyeing my boobs and I could feel my nipples harden right under his gaze.
