17 Never Have I Ever Revealed my Secrets at a Beach Party

Honda-san had the last word.

But it had been the arguments of Haruki, Daisuke, and Takashi that cornered the chief engineer, causing him to back off.

For the first time, he gave direct answers. And a lot of material to think about.

The bazaar continued.

"He doesn't know how to get us out of here," said Hinata, trying on a shirt from Saito's collection. He continued,

"So it wasn't the Gamekoi team that developed this technology. This project must be of several teams, but one does not know the others. Only a few people should know about the entire project."

Haruki looked at him in amazement. I had never heard Hinata speak with this deep and knowledgeable teaching intonation. The singer blinked to make sure it was Hinata who said that.

"What's it? What did I do this time?!" Hinata asked in his usual tone, turning his head from side to side, as everyone was staring at him.

"Nothing, Hinata-kun. It's just that you spoke like a grown man now," explained Daisuke, who then developed his theory,

" Yes, there must be several teams. I've been thinking. Abe-san learned about his daughter's diagnosis very early. That is why he has always been so generous with Science, sponsoring researches in several areas. He sought a cure for his daughter. "

"Being a strategist, he guaranteed it with a Plan B," Saito continued the reasoning, "If they didn't find a cure in time, and Miyu was in danger of dying. Okami is Plan B. And we are the guinea pigs."

The singer wondered if this was the time to tell. But he remembered Honda-san saying he was listening to them. He preferred to go the other way.

"So at 7 pm we already have a question for Honda-san: what happened to our bodies? And if they have notified our families we are here."

"Yes, we must have an agenda ready. And those are great questions, Haruki," Saito said, and turning to Daisuke asked him to go to the kitchen.

Haruki wondered what they would chat about privately.

Everyone had already chosen what they wanted, leaving a lot of things left. Jun asked, as he gathered what he should take back to his closet,

"Have you had any other conversation with your illustrator friend, Haruki-san?"

Haruki looked at him before answering,

"Honda-san said he heard you. Do they hear everything we say? Like on a reality show?"

OHHH! the collective reaction was suspicious, and they started looking at the corners as if there were cameras or microphones, but of course, there was nothing.

Hinata unexpectedly and cheerfully suggested,

"Shall we play a game to pass the time? Everyone here knows the game 'Never Have I Ever?'"

Everyone looked at each other, and nobody objected.

Takashi said,

"The version I know is with drinks. But if we drink in this game, I'm not sure you're allowed to play this game, Hinata-kun."

"Why, I ..." the student scratched the back of his head, embarrassed to admit his past delicts.

"Right. This isn't even real," said Jun." We won't be arrested for encouraging minors to drink. But if you want, drink water."

Then Haruki looked out the windows at the perfect afternoon,

"Okay. I suggest we play there on the beach, under umbrellas. How many times do you have such perfect days, by the sea?"

"I'm going to get the drinks," Jun took responsibility for himself, assuming everyone agreed with Haruki.

"Daisuke-san may choose the songs!" Hinata was excited because his simple idea was turning into a beach party.

Haruki and Takashi arranged everything on the beach for a fun and comfortable afternoon. Sitting on the beach chairs and wearing their new beach clothes, with snacks made by Saito and drinks by Jun, they were ready to start the game.

"Haruki-san always has the best ideas!" said Daisuke, testing the microphone of the stereo. "One cheer for him!"

BANZAI! everyone shouted, making Haruki laugh.

"Okay, may I start?" Saito asked. Everyone nodded, then Saito looked at the others and declared,

"I never committed a crime." And faced Jun.

Takashi asked, "Is a traffic ticket a crime?"

"No. I speak of illegal actions that ended up at the police station," explained Saito.

To the surprise of the group, only Haruki and Takashi didn't drink. Even Hinata had ended up at the police station!?

"Hinata-kun but what did you do?" Haruki asked curiously.

"I stole something," he revealed with flushed cheeks and ears, and explained, "There was this girl and she said she just hung out with guys with 'attitude'. Well, she promised me a nude if I film myself stealing. It ended up with my father very disappointed with me. He resigned, and we moved to another city because of the shame I put him through. He was a cop," Hinata's voice trembled when he told them these things, and it already filled his eyes with tears.

Daisuke spoke to break the heavy silence that followed Hinata's confession,

"I was naked, in the back seat of a limo, and the policeman came in instead of the girl I was waiting for."

"Oh, what a story! You two and your crazy girls, huh," said Haruki, impressed by the two recountings.

Saito laughed with them, but his gaze always returned to Jun, waiting for his confession.

"Come on, man, if I hadn't already paid for my actions, I wouldn't be here," Jun snapped at Saito. Takashi, who was at his side, put his hand over his hand. Jun snorted, before telling, "I grew up on the streets. People don't care. They only avert their eyes to pretend not to see us."

Daisuke spoke without letting another awkward silence arise, "Jun-san, it's your turn, ask."

"I was never submissive," it was Jun's turn to face Saito.

Saito laughed and drank,

"I started climbing at a young age. So, in my teens, I was already a professional. I went with a group to a mountain, difficult to access. Because of political conflicts, we get stuck. And I met this person," Saito told of his shocking experience.

Haruki was shocked. Who would that person be? A man, a woman? The singer did not understand what he said, only understood that he was young and the 'person' was an adult with power over him. He wanted to know a lot more about this story. Saito-san became more fascinating and mysterious with such a statement. But he just said that.

Jun, who antagonized with the adventurer, got as dumbfounded as everyone else who heard Saito's telling, Haruki realized. The singer coughed to get attention, drank and said,

"Well, I thought I was helping a friend at a variety show and I ended up like this, as a garden ornament," said the singer.

Haruki's comedic manner, and his mannerisms in interpreting the story everyone knew already, elicited some laughter.

Takashi drank, "My story is not funny, so I'll leave it for another time." His look was sad, but before anyone said anything or asked anything he asked the question,

"I never have ever been interested in my friends' girlfriends."

Everyone drank and burst out laughing. And Daisuke asks the next question, after looking at everyone, and the amount of drink in their glasses, "This question is meant to discover the rottenness of our beautiful prince: I never had sex with a fan." He drank afterward.

"I don't have a fan,…" Haruki was feeling his whole face burn,

Jun came to him and slapped him on the head,

"Ah, don't cling on technicalities. Come on! Drink, and ask."

Others also protested, wanting to know how many 'non-fans' he had already made out with.

"I never," Haruki saw Daisuke's strategy and started playing to win, not counting how many girls he had sex with. "I never have ever made out in a school bathroom."

Saito was the only one who didn't drink besides him.

"Um, our discreet Takashi, huh," said Daisuke, "Can you tell us these stories?"

"She was a professor at the university." He was red, "She later introduced me to a friend, a photographer who is now my fiance."

"Wow. And are they still friends?" Haruki wanted to know. Takashi just shook his head.

"And you, Hinata-kun, you little bastard?" asked Jun provocatively.

"Hm, what can I say? I needed to go to the bathroom and there was always a girl to give me a hand!"

"HAHAHA" The men burst out laughing. This hadn't happened to the most handsome ones there.

"Hinata-kun stop talking nonsense. It only happens in some manga," said Daisuke through laughter.

"It's true!" he protested. "Haruki-senpai, tell them. You must have been through this too," Hinata sought support from the guy a year older than him, whom he imagined having had similar experiences.

Haruki laughed and denied, blatantly lying, "My high-school was not like that!"

"I am telling the truth! It was last year when I returned from a vacation without the braces on my teeth, and after my aunt used me to try out a new skin treatment. The girls started chasing me. Sticking a hand in my pocket saying they wanted to suck a lollipop, you know?!" The senior student looked to his seniors for support.

"And did you become their candy supplier?" asked Jun, with a sardonic smile.

Hinata nodded with a naughty face.

Hinata insisted, "You are lying, Haruki-senpai!"

And everyone agrees, "Haruki-san likes to be Mr. Perfect," said Daisuki.

"I said I never had sex in the BATHROOM and it's true. I never said I didn't have sex at school," he justified.

"And here it comes the technicalities again," Hinata countered, "Well, I think it's my turn now," and looking at Haruki he said,

"I never had sexual fantasies about a person of the same sex."
