The woman he was with...

It was a misunderstanding and that is clearly a misunderstanding on his side but then who wouldn't in this situation, Richard smirked over the deadly glare he received from the men in the Mansion especially his father, disregarding their threatening eyes he continued.

"That woman Joanna said you flirted with at the mall yesterday " Richard said proudly smiling

as he thought his plan was working but to his surprise just then Mr Smith started laughing quietly, his cold glare instantly melting and looked rather pleased.

Confusing everyone in the room except for the three who knew what was happening.

"Real now! when I was busy planning how to bring out this news to you, almost growing another set of grey hairs you were busy flirting with each other tsk! tsk! tsk!.. I should have just arrange marriage instead" Mr Smith pointed out his eyes travelling from his daughter who seem embarrassed quietly looking down to puzzled Leon who looked at him curiously before asking.

"Were we?"he asked innocently making everyone laugh out quietly.

"Yes you were dear brother "It was Joanna who said that while grinning happily now he turn to look at Emilia who was looking elsewhere avoiding his gaze everyone smiled at her shy behavior and Leon's puzzled look so by now everyone understood that the woman who was with Leon yesterday was Emilia.

Mr Brown can now relax, this boy never disappointed him inwardly he thought as he proudly looked at Leon.

After the tension settled Mr Smith announced what his heart desired to get their children engaged which was quietly accepted by Brown family who wouldn't dare refuse this scary man knowing his temper.

"I hope nobody has a problem with that" Mr Smith finally said looking at everyone but then just before the decision was closed they heard someone say.

"I have a problem with this decision"Richard said again causing tension in the house,and this time around Mr Brown could not take it anymore.

"Is this boy adamant to cause the downfall of the family?" Now it enough! Mr Brown thought before furiously telling his already annoying son, what was he doing didn't he tell him not to say anything, why was he so hardheaded and ignorant.

"Richard enough,.. stop this at once!!" He said coldly not caring how harsh he appeared to him, he had enough of his stupidity but unfortunately that didn't go well as the boy already took the interest of the scary man.

The boy had already called out for the demon who seem to have heard his plead to be devoured.

" No! let the boy speak he must have something real important to say" Mr Smith said seriously but one could hear sarcasm in his words and his words left no room for negotiation.

Richard smirked at his angry father before he continued.

"Thank you Mr Smith but as I said... I do have a problem with this arrangement but if I'm wrong you can correct me" he said then turn to look at Emilia whose face was covered as usual but this time she was wearing a custom design grey mask instead of her usual silver mask seeing that an idea popped into his mind, grinning happily over what he was going to do to her.

" You see a relationship is built on bases of honest and trust .. am I right? but the way I see it your daughter has not been very honest to my little brother" Richard said like righteous person and a good brother looking out for his young sibling, his gaze still never left her eyes as if laughing at her inwardly.

" What do you mean?" Mr Smith asked with a frown now worry could be seen visible on his face.

His daughter was his weakness and he knew she was very emotional and unstable, he didn't want anything to affect her right now.

Ever since the death of her mother she had changed a lot she was no longer cheerful and carefree as she used to be and given what she did last time Mr Smith knew that something even worse was troubling her,

but nobody knew what happened to her that she had become like that, since then she hide her face from everyone she didn't show her face to anyone not even him, only a doctor saw her one time and ensure him that her face had no problem but still he was bothered why did she become like that? even after a lot of therapy still she refused to say anything.

On his side he had done investigation about what could have triggered her unusual behavior but found nothing only his dead wife was there but she was dead already.

Now what did this young man know to say this?.

Seeing his worried expression Richard smirked victoriously.

."You see my little brother is real naive as his older brother I'm greatly concerned about him if this secrecy continues I'm afraid he might commit a mistake, imagine someone like him get engaged to a woman he doesn't even know her face, I mean who does that? no one but him, in the end what if the wife is changed I mean anything could happen we are not in that good relationship you know.. anyway you can't blame me to think that way after all I'm just an older brother who is concerned of his younger brother" Richard said righteous finally ending his long speech which only lack applause.

For some time the room became very quiet as everyone waited for Mr Smith to say something, but before he could say anything they heard a soft angelic voice talking in very calm and composed way that one might think it was a praise rather than reprimands.

" If I'm correct first you had said I'm ugly.. now you say that me and my father, we are con-artist that want to destroy your dear brother's life.. am I right? "She asked seriously looking at Richard firmly with her slightly cold eyes clearly pissed off by this blabbering man, everyone was surprised to hear her say that, she was a very quiet girl given that she only observed things since they arrived.

They were worried something bad might happen since the girl was emotional what will happen if she gets angry and attempt to harm herself.

Well that was with exceptional of Richard who already lost his mind long time ago all this was like a little game to him.

Seeing his angry daughter speaking Mr Smith got worried he tried to stop her but she assured him that she was okay.
