Chapter Two

[Cole]

I park my car upon arriving at Primestone High, surveying the surroundings. It looks like a dump. What was Dad thinking when he enrolled me here? Ugh! Let's hope the inside is better than the outside. I prepare myself, striding through the doors into the halls. Unfortunately, the interior doesn't fare much better. Not what I expected. I sigh as I scan the halls. Well, at least there are good-looking girls here, so I guess that's all I need. I spot one and head towards her.

"Hey baby!" I say, smiling. "You mind telling me where room 214 is?"

"Um-mm, yo-u just wal-l-k strai-gh-t and tur-r-n left," she stutters, turning red.

"Thanks, beautiful," I wink and head to class. Just as I'm heading there, I notice a lady moving towards the same place. When she sees me, she stops.

"Hello, young man. What are you doing?" she asks.

"Good day, ma'am," I greet. What? Just because I'm rich doesn't mean I don't have manners. "I'm Cole Danvers, the new student. I have to go to room 214 for my first class," I say.

"Oh, right. I heard about that. Ok, come on, let's go," she says, walking towards the room door. "I'm Mrs. Smith; I teach the class you are going to now," she says, opening the door.

"Alright, then," I reply.

"Ok, class, sorry I'm a little late again," she smiles. The class laughs, and soon she joins them. I scan the class and the people in it. I notice all the girls drooling, but then one seems to catch my eye. Her expression seems bored and uninterested.

"Ok, ok, that's enough," she says, quieting down the class. "As you can see, I didn't come in alone. This," she gestures to me, "is Cole Danvers. Cole, why don't you tell the class something about yourself?" She smiles.

"Sure, Mrs. Smith. I'm Cole Danvers. I come from a rich family, which means I have money," I smirk. Don't judge. I like to brag. Sue me. I prefer people knowing that so that they know I can get away with anything. "I don't have a girlfriend... yet," I wink. Someone says, "God, that's hot." Another one says, "Oh yeah, he is so mine." I just smile. "And I'm really glad to be here with you guys," I finish.

"Ok, thank you, Cole. Have a seat; you can sit next to Bradley," Mrs. Smith says, pointing at Bradley. I see that Bradley is in front of the chick. "Thanks, Mrs. S," I smile, showing my teeth and taking my seat.

"Hey, man," I greet my seatmate.

"Xup, dude," he brings forward a hand, and I clasp it for a shake.

"So what does Mrs. Smith teach again?" I ask.

"English grammar," he replies.

"Huh! I guess it kind of suits her," I say, looking over in her direction.

"Yea, I guess so too. She's the best teacher so far. I mean, everyone loves her."

"Ok, class, we are gonna be talking about tag questions. Does anyone know what tag questions are?" Mrs. Smith asks, looking around. "Anyone? So no one knows?" She sighs. "Tag questions are--." Before she could continue, the bell rings, signaling the end of the class. "Well, consider that your project, and I expect it in three days minimum," she says sternly.

I grab my bag, walking into the hall straight to my locker. Well, the lesson was okay. I mean, it's not like I don't know all this stuff she's teaching. I'm not stupid! Let's talk about my family a little.

We are four, two boys and two girls. I'm the second child, with my sister Ivy being the first; she's in college now. Then we have the twins Rhett and Daisy; they're still in middle school.

My dad owns a law firm while my mum is a model. They are both very successful in what they do, and they expect us to follow their path. My sis is already studying law, and my parents want me to join her when I'm done, but that's not for me. I'm gonna study medicine.

As I'm walking, someone bumps into me and lands on the floor. I turn and see a blonde girl. She's the same one that sat behind me in English.

"Easy there, sugar; don't want you breaking anything now, do we?" I say, slowly reaching to help her up, flashing a smile.

"Thanks, but I don't need your help getting up," she says, standing and dusting herself, "seeing as you're the reason I fell down, by the way," she adds tightly.

I smirk. "Well, love, I think you should be watching where you're headed, don't you?" I ask, with one brow raised. She's the one who bumped into me; maybe she just wants my attention. I mean, don't they all.

"No, I don't," she says, as though reading my mind, "and FYI, I'm not your love," she snaps.

"Well, that's what they all say, love," I say to piss her off. I let my eyes roam her body, checking her out and not being subtle about it either. She has a great shape with curves in all the right places. Fuck, she looks hot. Just how I like them. My eyes stop at her boobs. That aren't too big or too small; they look just the perfect size.

I hear her clear her throat, and I look into her eyes, which are the brightest shade of blue I've ever seen, "..till they come begging for me."

"Am sorry to burst your little bubble or daydream... whatever, but I just want you to know something," she says, inching closer to me. I breathe in her perfume. It's more like honey and strawberries. "I'm not like them," she says, walking away.

"We'll see," I said when she was still within earshot.
