Chapter 1

As i was swimming through the the ocean, swaying my tail, feeling the waters through my skin, touching them gracefully with my soft hand & slightly giggling.

for the first time in my life I've finally went outside the castle, due to my mother's death the feeling of vapidness, dispassionate, & apathy took over me. Since then, i distant myself from people including my family.

But now i have decided to go out, the euphoria hitting me as i saw the deep blue ocean, along with the glamorous view added up with brightly colored corals and aquamatic animals. A bright smile showing through my face, not knowing where I was heading i swam around recklessly then suddenly fell into a massive Bush of thick seaweed leading me into a deeper & darker ocean.

I stand there frozen as i know where i was going. "the forbidden ocean, AHHHHGGG!!" I shriek & without thinking i swim through the thick Bush of seaweed hoping i could go out from this menacing place ...

The forbidden ocean is obviously forbidden, why, You ask? Unlike other ocean this one is different, this is the place where sirens & unknown aqua monsters live. No mermaids are allowed to be in here, 'am i that far away from the castle?' I questioned myself, as thought that the forbidden ocean and atlantis was far from eachother. Chills went through my spine a feeling as if there was somebody eyeing at me wanting me to look at the unknown creature's eyes too...

Ignoring the mysterious creature i planned on escaping through the seaweed. Trembling in fear, internally screaming, heart racing fast, the thought of not surviving from these seaweed bushes made me weak.

The thickness was too hard & powerful for my body to fight against with.

Felt relieved I've finally survived & escaped, heavy breathing released through my mouth, trying to calm myself down, i decided to go to my room & rest...

Laying down my body resting at peace, still not forgetting the overwhelming fear that happened earlier....

"You may come in" I murmured as adira, my maid who is also my friend knocking at the door slowly opening it, swimming towards me with her hand holding eachother supporting her tummy. "her highness, his majesty is throwing a party today, he addressed me here to dress you up, please do sit in your vanity so i can beautify your face" She stated apprising me, as i nod & assented on what she said. I sat on my seashell chair as she focused on doing what she was informed to do.

slightly brushing my soft raven hair adding my golden like crown on my head. Summing up with a rose like color tint on my glossy lip

"you look gorgeous her highness" Adira complimented me, it's been awhile somebody told me i look beautiful, people haven't seen me for years even my dad. "your raven hair matches well with your blue-grey eyes and pale skin" Adira commented in an amiable way. "thank you Adira, I am very pleased with your compliments" a smile drew on my face with a slight laugh, i stood up right before the party started, swimming through the grand hall I saw my dad looking at me smiling almost crying "it's been a while" he cried as i sat beside his throne smiling, i didn't said anything i hugged him tightly as i can and watched as our merpeople dancing around, eating, & doing other activities in the hall.

I felt delighted i jumped out of glee as i went towards to hall & dance as if there was no tomorrow, enjoying the time that's happening now i felt as if the pain I've been through never existed.

Music as loud as ever heard, lights so colorful like a rainbow disco, laughters, giggles, voices, and different noises were heard through the halls. The beat of every music hits every person making them swing around swaying their hands and tails, touching themselves & shake their bodies.

A sigh let out of my mouth, dancing and singing around was a tiring thing to do. "Sereia, let's go out" lilly, a friend of mine who's also like my pet (since she's a fish) asked me.

"where to? I can't go out just yet, Let's live the life Lilly!!" I reply in a boisterous way laughing really hard like a crazy lunatic. "you're crazy, let's go i have to show you something crazier" she grin as she held my hand & lead me to the top of the ocean swimming towards a big rock.

"It's against the rules, merpeople are not allowed to be in here—" Lilly cut me off and turned my body around showing the bright & gigantic full moon. Trying to take a seat on the big rock i still couldn't keep an eye out of the gigantic moon. "it's lovely, really lovely" i stutter..

"yeah" was the only word came to lilly's mouth as both of us were gazing at the night sky, with the moon so big reflecting the waters as it was so called 'Mangata' in Swedish.

I closed my eyes little by little and began to sing my favourite song

As i opened my eyes i could feel the moon reflecting not only the the waters but also my eyes, for the first time I've seen the most wonderful thing that could exist.

These thoughts came into my head, 'if only mom could see this' i ponder, im pretty sure she'll admire it. I smiled.

Lilly gave me an applause adoring the view so as the music. I sang random songs after that. Finally, peace, after alot of loud partying, a peaceful gathering for myself & my friend would be the best thing to happen...

I turned my back looking for another lovely view to admire, at my first glimpse, there stand a Palace, my pupils dilate, the attractiveness of the kingdom was lovely too, also I've never seen one aside from ours, desperately wanting to go there but the thought of how & in what way came to mind.

"sucks being a mermaid" the word that wondered to my head suddenly came out my mouth. When heard, Lilly just stared at me with no words stating out of her mouth.

We proceeded to swim back to atlantis, the master clock strike 12:00 as we reached our home & Castle.

I was so thrilled of what wonderful things happen today, hoping someday i could go see that castle again. Grinning like a total idiot i went towards my shell like bed & rested...
