Chapter 1

Lydia's POV

I hummed as i felt Blake's fingers carress my face. My heart thundered as he smiled at me.

"I love you so much, Lydia." He whispered softly as he gazed at me with adoration. "I'll never ever love a girl like i love you." He said to me, his words a beautiful carress at my heart.

"I love you too Blake. I'll always love you." I said to him, smiling at him softly, hoping that my words and the love in my eyes were enough to prove that i will indeed, love him, forever and ever.

"I know, my light." He said to me as he carressed my cheek bone. I sighed in content as i looked at the beautiful sky.

All of a sudden, the whole world turned dark. "Blake?" I called out for my love as i outstretched my hands to reach for him.

"Wake up Lydia! How long will you be asleep for!" Screamed Julia's voice suddenly and i frowned.

"LYDIA!" Screached Julia and i shot up from my bed, looking around with a confused expression. I groaned out loud as i realized that it was all a dream.

"Dear lord. You sleep too much Lydia. You need to stop that. You have only an hour to get ready for school. Go and get ready." Julia said, her hands on her hips.

I rolled my eyes at her. "Alright, mother." I mocked at her. She scowled at me as i dragged myself to the washroom.

Julia Hayes is my twin. We are both in the last year of our highschool. We both look similar due to our blue eyes and perfect nose that we inherited from our mother. We both look different due to our features and our hair colors. My hair is a light shade of brown while hears are midnight black.

I quickly did my business and took a shower. I went to my walk in closet which was connected to my bathroom and woke my jeans, pairing it with a loose white t-shirt.

I quickly wore my sneakers with it and rushed downstairs after taking the things i would need for my school.

"Goodmorning." I greeted my mom and dad and quickly started shoving my chocolate pancakes.

"Slow down, Lydia!" Yelled my mother to which i sheepishly smiled at her with my mouth fu of pancakes.

"Sorry." I said after gulping my food to which she gave me an amused glare. "You, young lady, need to be more punctual with your schedule." She said to me as she drank her tea.

"I know. I just got distracted by a book last night and forgot to check the time until it was two in the morning." I said as i drank my orange juice.

My father chuckled at my explanation. "It's quiet alright dear. You are the only one who's suffering because of lack of sleep. Not us." He said with an amused smirk.

"Sure, father." I replied back sarcastically, sticking my tongue out to him.

"Hurry up, Lydia." Julia said from the living room. I quickly kissed both my parents' cheeks and rushed after Julia.

We quickly got into her car and she raced to the school.

There was one more difference between me and my sister.

It's cliché but she is the out going one while I'm the nerd. She is, by no means, rude to me. We have a rather close and loving relationship as siblings. Neither of us can live without the other.

Ever since we were children, it has always been me, Alissa and Julia.

Alissa Parker is both mine and Julia's childhood bestfriend.

We both rushed to our respective classes as soon as we reached our school.

My first lecture was Biology taught by Mrs. Newmort.

I quickly went and sat on the last seat available in the classroom. My heart was beating fast as i thought about Blake.

He was Alissa's twin brother and my childhood crush. Noone knew about this secret of mine. Not Julia, nor Alissa. And, definitely not Blake.

Blake is the quarterback of our highschool. He is extremely popular and every girl of our highschool has had a crush on him or been attracted to him at some point.

Which is why, my puppy love has little to no significance. There are hundreds of pretttier girls than me in this school. I know that i have no chance of getting with him what-so-ever.

A shocking thing about Blake is that he used to be my bestfriend till 5th grade. But then as soon as he got into football more and more, we got distant.

It went on until he forgot about me. I have tried 5000 times to move on from him but it never works. The biggest of reason is that mine and his parents are bestfriends. We often have weekend dinners with them.

Blake has become an arrogant asshole over the years, although he never misbehaves with my parents or his.

I have heard multiple stories of how Blake has slept with so many girls of our school. Blake's most prized possessions were the girls who were a year or two above us.

He has always been praised and there have been so many rumours on how big his *ahem* part is.

I blushed at my own thoughts. I was brought out of them when Mrs. Newmort entered the class.

We all greeted her and she greeted us back. We soon started with the lecture and were 15 minutes in when the door of the classroom opened and in came Blake Parker.

Mrs.Newmort was used to Blake's non-punctuality and continued on with her lecture.

Blake looked as handsome as he always has. My heart warmed as i took in his form. He was wearing a black t-shirt paired with black jeans and his shoes.

His muscles bulged through his sleeves.

Dear lord.

He is God's most exquisite creation. Atleast, in my eyes.

I have never laid eyes on a boy as handsome as he is. His beautiful brown eyes quickly scanned through the class for an empty seat and i panicked.

I knew that there were no seats available except for the one besides mine.

We had benches that allowed us to sit in a pair of two at a single bench. His eyes stopped at my seat. He looked at me for a moment before shrugging.

He walked towards my bench and quickly slid in next to me causing me to gasp.

God give me strength.

I silently prayed before trying to focus back on our teacher.
