2 In the Beginning...

A world, swaying on a fine line constantly fighting for power, always at war even if the dust settles. The world never compromises even on the simplest of terms. Famish, greed, running through every sin imaginable and no one looks at the helpless. Some may rather them dead " A nuisance" others would shout. However, a few hope a hero will show up and save the world, ridding this world of its crime and malice.

We start the day off with an average high-school kid. The smartest, kindest, and the most athletic person of the district. No one can touch his magnificent abilities. The girls fell for him, the men were friends of his, and the teachers always smiled and waved when they said, "Hey Brock!" He had such a reputation and intimidation in school that people would almost move out of his way. Even the bullies of the school wouldn't mess with anyone only because they knew that if Brock finds out it wouldn't be pretty. He was the true model of an excellent student.

Later in the day, it became cloudy in an instant when the weather reports had a clear state of day. Everyone wondered why that weather had changed so dramatically. The air smelled like ash, but with no fire. The town is usually peaceful, aside from the crime, and the reports are always right, so it was strange for the town. It was said that to walk outside would be suffocating, however, it was only around the school Brock attended.

With this strange phenomenon, all the kids were curious as to what is happening and why. Soon a kid by the name of Richard Box looked out onto the football field and saw a terrifying sight. It looked like a deformed horse with charred skin, flaming hair, and a huge syringe in its head. It seemed to be standing there looking away from the school. The fear made his knees almost buckle under his weight. As he stood there horrified more students piled in having the same reaction with only some students would fall to their knees fainting or in shock.

As the school is looking at this creature, Brock comes up from the rear of the crowd and sees this weird horse but it doesn't scare him as much. He glances at it and the students chronically try to figure out the reason for this madness. That's when he looked back once more at the students and walked out to greet it. The students had tried to stop him but he was already out of their reach. Once Brock stepped out of the building, the creature had turned his head toward Brock with a menacing stare.

The fear had finally struck Brock but he didn't want to back down. As the two were staring at each other, it was silent. Only the wind breaking the silence with a strong breeze but the Horse and Brock don't budge. After a few moments of them staring, the Horse had begun to move toward him. Instinctually, Brock had stepped back with his body trying to warn and tell him to run, however, he didn't run, he stood standing his ground blocking the horse from the students. As the Horse was moving towards Brock, it had soon vanished instantly.

Everyone had begun to wonder where the horse went and if this situation was over. However, in a second, as Brock began to run, the horse had appeared in front of him blocking his only escape into the building. The fear struck deeper into his heart, keeping him from moving an inch and with the only thing he could do was to stare at the horse. As he stared, not a moment passed, until suddenly the horse forced its jaw into his chest, throwing him across the yard into the sports shed. The students and Brock now know that they're out matched and to their knowledge the horse is unbeatable.

He was trying to recover but the horse was too fast. It showed up again on top of Brock, trampling him farther into the shed's remains. The wood constantly stabbing into his back and the horse not letting up. Finally, the horse stopped but it then thrusts its head forward opening its mouth and showing its dagger like fangs. Luckily Brock dodged that bite, but he couldn't dodge the bite after that.

Brock screamed and shouted in a blood curdling yell. He felt as if his skin was being lit on fire and being burnt to brittle charcoal, not to mention the fact that he had been stabbed a total of 40 times by a bunch of little dagger-like teeth, which is the number of teeth a normal horse has. Yet, no blood. What is happening and what do we do?

Once the horse let go, it went on an uncontrolled rampage, charging at the students and teachers that are still frozen in place at the door. Brock is still screaming in pain and there was still no explanation as to why this was happening. Then, moments later, from behind the horse is a loud and ferocious yell, "Hey!". Looking back, it seems to be Brock, but he seems to be standing there, holding his arm, and has a mean look on his face as if he is ready to fight it. "I don't know what you are or where you came from, however," Brock said, no longer holding his arm and ready for a fight, "I will not let you touch those students!"

Something seems to be off about Brock. He is still wounded but it doesn't really affect him. "It's strange, the pain is disappearing, and I feel as if the wound is healing. I don't know what's happening, but I do know that now...now! I have the ability to stand my ground against this beast of fire and ash." Brock said. The horse charged at Brock and with the amount of strength left in him, Brock charged back striking the front of the horse's body. Although he didn't slow the beast down, he still damaged the body, by leaving a giant crater into the horse's body. The students now stand hopeful that Brock can win, but still, what is happening?
