Their New House

They stopped at the bridge, staring down in awe.

A stone canal separated the districts as clean water passed through the city. The man-made channel curved around the central district, matching the circling streets inside. There was an overhang above the bridge, three bromes tall. On one side of the overhang was a sign reading "East District", and on the other was a sign reading "Central District".

"Wow…" The running water entranced Jash. He climbed onto the bridge and marveled at how clear the water was.

Astonished but not stopping for long, Nelphy crossed the stone bridge. "Hurry up, or I'll leave you behind."

"Right!" Scurrying, Jash caught up to Nelphy while gazing open the many booths and stalls. "Hmm… It smells so good."

"True. Let's grab a bite."

Jash was way ahead of Nelphy, already approaching the most aromatic stall around. "We'll each take two."
