The Play: Act 1

"Oh! It's starting!" Nora grabbed Nelphy and Jash by their forearms. "We have to hurry if we want good seats!"

The three of them raced into the stands. Concrete made up most of the building, but cloth shades were hanging overhead to offer shelter from the sun. And while the seats were all made of finely-sanded wood, some sections had additional padding.

Nora was determined to get a padded seat this year. She pulled the others through the crowd, disregarding all of their questions for a few minutes.

Finally, they successfully secured some cushioned seats. "Ahh… That's much better! What were you asking me, again?"

Nelphy chuckled while getting comfortable. "I was asking about the play. It's about the Conqueror, but what about him? Is it about his life?"

"No, no. It's about him founding Frihet," answered Nora.

"So it's about his battles?" Jash asked with interest overflowing from his smile.
