Let's Head Back

Silent, Jash and Nelphy were racked with turbulent thoughts as that rumored fact was casually thrown out.

"But you two don't know the terror that is ruin runs just yet…" chuckled Bil. "You'll figure that out during your time at the revered estates… Then you'll know first hand."

Jash retorted, "But we're in an advanced ruin right now–"

"On an unknown run," clarified Bil. "That means we don't know if this is the normal behavior of the place. And we have no idea how deep this thing goes. All we know is that we encountered more bosses than we expected, and the average mobs keep getting stronger too…

"Here's something to consider, Jash," Bil added, getting a wicked smile on his face. "Do you think the empire was stronger during the Deific Wars or right now? … And why?"

The young man was a bit baffled by the sudden question. "What's that got to do with ruins?"

"Everything."
