First Day on the Job

"Me? I think I'll check out the different guilds. There are two I have in mind, though I'm not sure which one I'll choose," Jash replied.

Rinsing her dishes in the sink, Nelphy shrugged. "Well, I'm sure you'll figure it out. I look forward to hearing all about it later tonight."

Jash waved. "See you, Sis! Good luck at work."

Nelphy left at a brisk pace. She wasn't running, but Nelphy showed enthusiasm with each step. There were plenty of people greeting her. Whether it was to sell something or to just get Nelphy's attention, they all failed. At most, they got a quick wave and a "good morning".

The sun was out for all to see. Light cascaded down over the city, letting the walls offer early risers shade from the beaming sunrise.

Pumped, Nelphy paused at the steps up to her new job. *You can do this, Nelphy. He wouldn't have agreed if you weren't able to do this… Alright. Let's go!*

Nelphy finished her mental pep talk and entered the store.
