Can You Deliver A Message For Me?

"You were right…" Baston sighed with a downtrodden face.

Without any remorse or signs of care, Baston dropped Heaross's corpse to the side. But Baston held up Heaross's vector ring. Then, two more bodies stripped to their undergarments appeared in front of the elder.

Ribard came forward to collect the ring, saying, "I still need to investigate that. I understand that the ring belongs to Lightning Chateau and will return it as soon as I'm done searching its contents."

Nodding, Baston handed the ring over without a fight. He then gave the civilians a silent bow.

Chowan also bowed, both to the civilians and to the masked captain. "I'm so sorry! If I had known this was a coordinated effort by my colleague, I would've slain him and dragged him before the elders sooner. And I'm deeply sorry for blaming you without even letting you speak, Sir Captain. Please, forgive me."
