Chapter 23: Melting Hearts

Before Juliet could understand anything, she lost her another kiss to Duke and was lifted in the air by him. Duke took her in the arms and made her sit inside the car. Then he drove back to the house as fast as he could. Reaching the front gate, Duke tossed the keys to the Guard on duty, and asked him to park the car. Then he lifted her in bridal style and made their way towards the main house. Today Duke had no plan to let her go. So, instead of stopping in front of his own room he directly went towards Juliet's bedroom, opening the door with one hand.

Juliet's emotions were so much jumbled up that she could not focus on what was going on around her. It all was very sudden for her. She was dazed in these events when Duke put her on the bed. Duke was about to kiss her again when she got back her sense of sanity and put her hand as a restriction on his mouth.

"W-wait, w-what are you doing? W-we…. You…... me...kiss? W-why are you kissing me???"

Juliet asked him with a shaky voice. She could not get these courses of actions all at once. Tears were surrounding in the corner of her eyes. Looking at her expression Duke felt a pain that he has been causing her during these months. Duke tried to calm her down while patting in her back and said,

"I-I love you, Juliet. I love you more than you can ever imagine... I truly do."

Juliet shifted her eyes to fix it on her feet. Small tear drops started to fall on the bed as she spoke with a very low voice, "I-is it fun? To play with my e-emotions? w-what if y-you...what if y-you l-leave me again... like last time…..."

Juliet's terror was evident in her tone. With a pause she continued, "this time if you leave me…...I-I will…. d-die…."

After she completed, she broke down in tears. Her loud crying was making Duke hate himself more.

Duke really felt miserable for making her this much weak mentally. After taking a deep breath he approached her. He took her face in his palms and kissed away her tear drops from her cheeks. And then he held her head in his chest tightly giving a sense of security to Juliet. Juliet's whimpers could be heard against his heart. Then he said with a calming tone,

"I am really sorry for making you so miserable. Please trust me this last time Juliet, I don't know if the word 'love' can express my all expressions or not but if it does then I just want to tell you that, I really love you and I will never leave you at my will. So, please give me another chance to prove my love for you. Please... will you Juliet?"

Duke stated these words while patting Juliet's head with tender strokes. Juliet raised her head after calming down a little bit. She looked into Duke's eyes. For her it was like her waiting finally reached its destination. The happiness was seeping through her eyes. Juliet nodded while looking into his eyes. Duke had a better opportunity to prove himself now, so he wanted to start over with her again this time. At this moment of the newly flourished love, Duke asked still looking in her eyes,

"May I?"

Juliet gave her permission by placing her hands around his shoulder. They both entangled in their ecstatic moment of happiness by touching their lips. The warm lips brushed against each other gently for some time before Duke took the lead to invade. Their hearts were thumping in the same beats against their chests. Duke was sitting in the middle of the bed and slowly he led Juliet to climb up on his lap. She also followed his direction and wrapped her legs around his waist and deepened the kiss. Their breathing was getting heavier with the increasing kissing time. The light and sweet smell of lavender was enriching their moments more and more. Duke started sucking on her lower lips while Juliet was struggling for some air. To gasp her breath at last, she bit his upper lips lightly, and he pulled away.

"w-why did you bite me?" Duke asked with a dumbfounded expression.

"I-I needed to catch some air." She answered while breathing heavily. They both were in their best moment of life. Duke chuckled at her cuteness. He kissed her forehead with his assuring affection. Then he kissed on her eyes, the pink blushed cheeks, and her small nose. They both were resting their head against each other when Juliet said, "I will trust you my heart again this time. Please keep it safe. Because if it gets another scratch, I may not survive it…."

Before she could finish Duke said in a firm voice,

"No! don't say anything like that Juliet…. I promise I will always keep your heart safe for you. You will never regret trusting me again. So, never even think about what you were saying. I want you to live a very long and happy life. I always want to see the smile on your lips."

Juliet nodded at his statement and said, "me too"

Then they commenced their love together from where they left it. Duke started kissing her again on the lips while slowly laying her on the bed. The moment was getting much more heated with his kiss on her two plump lips. Her lips were red from all the sucking but now she hissed as Duke bit her lower lips to get an entrance clearance. She opened her mouth and their tongues got in a sync in no time. Duke was not a gentleman while kissing her, it was already proven as his kiss became only filled with more hunger through each passing minutes. Slowly he moved his lips on her throat leaving wet kisses. Then he touched her nape with his not so gentle lips. He bit her nape and sucked on the soft skin of Juliet on neck. It instantly left Duke's first mark on her body.
