Chapter 2: Fallen Angel
Duke opened his eyes slowly.. He couldn't see properly due to extreme brightness... After batting his eyelashes a few times he found himself lying on the giant hall room of the heaven.. He saw his only friend Angelo, the "Angel of Life" standing in front of him with an unreadable expression...
Duke was about to say something but he saw another figure on Angelo's left.. "Wait.. Isn't he Christopher! the Angel of Death!" He mumbled to himself..
Angelo slowly came to his side and sat on his knees.. "What have you done Duke! Why you did that! Don't you know we should not save a soul that is facing it's destiny."
Then the reality hit him that he saved the souls who were about to confront the "Angel of Death".. And Angels are forbidden to do that except the " Angel of Life"..because he was the only one chosen by the God and given the power to create life.. He has the power to save a life as well but for saving a life he has to exchange something great to the "Angel of Death" as well.
Except him each and every Angel was forbidden to save the suffering souls and no one also wanted to go against the "Angel of Death" because he was the 2nd most respected Angel after the "Angel of Life" as they were the Beginning and End of one soul.
Duke fell out for words when the "Angel of Death" spoke.. "Are you aware of your actions? You know this right that you have committed a Sin by saving them!"
Duke could not look into his eyes as he was aware of his did. He only said "I'm, and I'm apologizing from the core of my heart for my did."
"Then be ready for the consequences.. Don't you know that the destiny of any creature is written by our Almighty and even trying to to change it..is also considered as a Sin. But you not only tried to change it but eventually saved a dying soul.. It is considered as the rebellious act against the God."
Duke lowered his gaze.
"You decided to go against me also!!
Who gave you the right to save them! They were facing their fates.. How can you go against a pre-destined occurance!!"
Duke knew he was forbidden to do such actions but why he did that?? He was not an Angel who will do anything in the moment of heat then why his all conditions, believes, hatred against human world didn't work after watching that 'smile'?? He was thinking all of the incidents lowering his head.
Duke was always a very Dutiful Angel, and also a good friend of Angelo.. considering that Angelo asked him "Do you have any explanation for your did?"
Duke raised his head to look at him and said..."It was the first time a human asked to save someone else while being on the same death bed"
The "Angel of Death" was aware of it but still saving one single soul which is confronting it's death will going to cause a huge hindrance in the creation of Cosmos. And only the "Angel of Life" could do that but he also has to exchange something great with him as the price of saving one soul. But Duke was in no place to do that and even he didn't exchange anything for saving that fragile human life.
So, he said "Then you must know about the great exchange right!? So exchange your soul for saving that girl because the other person died there on spot after you came here. So, you saved only one soul who was bound to come to it's eternal journey of peace."
Christopher continued.. "You are going to sent to the fiery pit as to pay off your sin."
Angelo stood up and went to Christopher's direction.. He said with urge "please spare his life.. He was always a loyal subject to the Almighty and never failed his duties even once..
I know he did a death sin but still don't send him to the fiery pit"
Christopher raised his voice and said "HE INVITED HIS DEATH HIMSELF AFTER GOING AGAINST THE GOD & HE TRIED TO FIGHT AGAINST THE DESTINY, INDIRECTLY HE REBELLED AGAINST ME AS WELL... HE'LL HAVE TO PAY FOR HIS SINS BY SACRIFICING HIMSELF"
Once again Angelo tried to convince him by saying... "But he is one of our most powerful and loyal "Angel of Virtues"& also a higher ranked Angel, capable of doing miracles.. Please consider him only this one time please I request you"
Christopher was really angry at Duke's such action but he respected Angelo very much. He wanted a soul in exchange for another. So considering the fact that Duke was indeed a great example of a Dutiful Angel and Angelo's request Christopher said "Ok! As you never went against the God's will before...
I'll give you a chance to save yourself... The rules of the universe can't be changed for anyone not even for us, the Angels. So, I'll consider your Sin as you just make a delay in time to let that soul came to it's end so, You'll not sent to the Fiery pit but BANISHED TO THE HUMAN WORLD LIKE A FALLEN ANGEL"
