Before Nicolas could even finish shouting there were two guards rushing up to the gate to check out the ruckus. Seeing Nicolas dirty, disheveled state they presumed that he was some sort of beggar looking for handouts. One of the guards opened the gate coming out in a threating manner.

"Go away, you beggar, I'm sick of you lot coming around here bothering the master." The guard said while trying to shoo him away.

"Wait! wait," Nicolas said pulling out a jade pendant that served as an identifier. "I'm Wei Yue the son of the prime minister Wei. I seek an audience with your master.
