Staying in the hospital while he was younger, was a very lonely experience for Nicolas. Even though he loved to read which helped him escape reality, that didn't help all the time. He really looked forward to the days his family visit. Sometimes when his father had a day off he would come to visit him and they would watch old Star Trek episodes, the one with Captain Picard because his dad said that was the best one.

Nicolas acutely remembered the episodes that pertained the holodeck. He always wished he had one while he was in the hospital. If he did he knew he could travel to different places without leaving his room.
