This time i will protect you

~From here on story will be from Ian's POV~

I was in deep sleep when i could feel myself shaking. What the hell! My mind was still numb. Is it an earthquake? I opened my eyes as soon as that thought came to mind.

I was prepared to run. When i opened my eyes i saw mammy. Huh! What is mammy doing here..... oh I totally forgot. My brain become attentive as I remembered everything. I still am not used to this life even after so much time passed.

Mammy was holding me while dad was holding lily in his arms. I slowly turned my head to see that we were leaving our room.

I looked back at mammy only to find out that she was looking at me. Mammy gave me the sweetest smile. For some reason i could see stars shinning in mammy's eyes. I still cant tell mammy's mood from her expressions.

I was never close to mammy in my past life but this time i will definitely make up for that.

We stopped when we reached mom and dads room. Dad looked at lily. Who was still sleeping in his arms then looked back at me. He then realized that i was awake. He slowly came towards and kissed me on my forehead.

"Good evening, marshmallow" he gave me a goofy smile before continuing "did you have a good rest? You must be exited to meet your mother."

I made a cooing sound in response to him. His eyes lit up "shall we go in then?" He kept looking at me as if waiting for his answer.

I was shocked as i noticed this. I smiled and made a cooing noise as if saying yes. He smiled back at before turning to towards the door.

I cant believe it! Who would wait for a baby's reply. No normal person would do that to a baby. But then again i am not a normal baby. I was debating with myself as the maid open the door to their room.

As soon as i went in my eyes went to the person sitting on the bed. She was looking towards us with expectant eyes and sweet smile. The light from the window was falling on to the person making her even more enchanting as if she was an angle.

She looked so fragile. She was extremely thin as if any moment now she would fly away with the wind.

I could feel my throat start to sting and my eyes becoming watery as i focused on the person. Mom i missed you. I promise i will never let you feel that pain again.

I didn't realize that i have started to cry. Mammy gently swayed me from left to right but I couldn't stop. Damn you baby mechanism. Its the first time i meet her after so long and i am crying. What if she starts to hate me because of how noisy i am. What she get scared and never hold me again. My mind was getting darker and darker as the time went on. As my mind got darker, my crys got louder.

I don't know what happened but mammy started to walk towards mother. Mom gently held me in her arms. Her arms were shaking a little.

Her arms felt comfortable as she slowly swayed me from left to right. I calmed down little by little. She smelled like flowers. She placed me on her lap while her arm was still wrapped around me.

With her free hand she touched my head then her hand traveled to my nose then eyes. It was as if she was trying to memorize every single thing about me. I just kept on staring her. I saw her as her eyes were filled with sparkles when she was touching me.

She then touched my palm with the finger. I know i cant form a fist but i really really want to. I want to hold her hand and never let go.

I saw her eyes becoming watery as tears started to flow from them. Huh! What happened? I looked at dad and he was smiling at me and mom.

Why isn't he doing anything? Cant you see mom is crying. I then felt my hand being lifted. I looked at my hand only to see my fingers wrapped around her finger. When i looked back at mom she had a smile on her face as tears still continue to run down her cheeks.

Mom looked at dad. Dad understood what she wanted and placed lily in her other arm. I have never seen mom so happy. She bent down to kiss us both. Dad was still sitting in front of us.

for the first time he didn't have a goofy smile on his face but a loving one. My heart was filled with warmth seeing my family around me. I never realized how stupid i was in my past life. This time i promise i will make everything alright. I was filled with determination.

I don't know when i fall asleep while i was playing with mom and dad.
