14 The Perfect Expressions

"Ah! There is no need. You still need to help me with my hair and dressing Alec." Mary shook her head and started walking out but Daisy could not take her eyes away.

Her white legs were naked! Dread filled Daisy's eyes. If Mary would be seen by the men then she would be impure. A great woman like an Oracle may not care about her honor but Daisy did.

"But, lady! You are naked. You can not walk out like this." She shook her head again and again paused Mary.

Of course, she had seen women of this era. They wore complex clothes with corsets and a lot of layers. Even if she was given one, she was sure she would die of suffocation in one.

"I am good. You do not need to worry about me." She shook her head and sat at the table. She was pleased to see that Daisy was considerate enough to bring some makeup too.

She sighed when she saw oil-based compounds but still used some to color her eyes and lips letting go of egg white to make her skin shine.

Daisy was already helping the child but her eyes could not let go of Mary as she kept mumbling one thing or other.

"Umm, kid. Why don't you tell the lady to dress up better?" She tried to use the child but the child blinked.

He had already seen Daisy urging Mary many times which made Mary irritated. So, he shook his head conveniently and repeated Mary's words.

"Why? Isn't she looking beautiful!?"

"..." Both are alike! Daisy resigned to her face as she tied the last knot of his cloth. She then walked towards Mary to help her with her hair.

"My lady, your hair is still wet. Let me bring a towel to dry them first." She turned but a knight was waiting at the door.

"I am here to summon the lady. She had a meeting with your highness." He said in a blank voice but did not give a look towards any of them like a statue.

"Ah! But the lady is not ready. No maid was there to help her." Daisy shook her head when Mary ran her hand in her hair a few times and swept them towards her left side. It covered a bit of her cleavage but it only made her look more sensuous.

The redness from the fresh bath was still there.

This time the knight frowned. "Aren't you a maid too? Your Highness did not like waiting." he warned when Daisy opened her mouth again but did not find a prepper reply.

Mary came forward and held her hands while shaking her head. Telling her to speak further. Then she smiled at the child who was already walking towards his side. A habit he had developed from their first meeting every time he saw a stranger.

He came close and held her hands tightly as if he was afraid of being taken away when she ruffled his hair.

"You are looking handsome." she told me when he smiled and blushed with his head bowing instantly.

"We are ready. You do not need to wait. Lead the way." The knight finally looked at the woman and realized why Daisy was so desperate. His face turned red and he could not look away from her.

"That… I will tell the Lord that you are not feeling well and want to rest. I am sure he would understand." How could he ask a woman to come with them naked?

"But I am not. Are you saying that you are intending to lie to your master?" she asked back in a stern voice leaving the man speechless. He was only thinking about her yet she blamed him.

"But…"

"Enough of you both. I said lead the way." she repeated with a frustrated look on her face and then added.

"Let it be! I know where he is."

She held Alec's hands and already started walking out even when Daisy and the knight tried to stop her.

As she walked past many staff. All of them stopped what they were doing and kept staring at her. All of their faces were red either men or women, they kept staring at her with agape mouths and widened eyes.

"My lady! Everyone is staring at us." said the child with worry in his voice when she smirked.

"That is because they never saw anyone more stunning than me and you. We are an excellent combination.

Her casual words made his heart beat faster! Pair! They were a pair! He was an excellent match for her. His chest puffed up instantly and he looked at everyone with confidence for the first time in his small life.

As she reached the dining hall without any guidance, the knights forgot to stop her or announce her arrival. They were shocked to see her appearance too.

"You are finally…" Cassian paused in his complaint when he raised his head and looked at the woman. She was! What the hell was she wearing?

"And why in the world are you…" no matter how cold and stoney he was. He could not see a strange woman standing naked in front of his eyes. "Leave and wear clothes first, then return. No! It would be better if you do not come back. I am done with my dinner already."

"Why.. are you shy or are you afraid that you could not take your eyes away from me?"

"No! I am stunned and your nudity is making me nauseated?"

"Ah! Then the redness on your face must be because of holding it in! Why don't you puke first then we'll talk more about it!?"
