17 17. Good Choice.

Leony stops in her tracks when her eyes landed on the figure on the table that is at the far end of the restaurant but easy to spot immediately one enters.

He was on the phone and seems to be angry about something.

She wanted to turn and leave before he sees her but then he caught her and she couldn't dare to take a step further. It was as if her feet were rooted to the spot.

Beckett saw how his girlfriend who was just chatting and laughing with him became quiet all of a sudden as soon as they entered the restaurant and just stood still.

He nudges her to move out of the way but she wouldn't move, instead her attention was somewhere else.

So he traced where her eyes were looking and there at the far end of the restaurant directly facing them sat the one man he would like to get rid of if given the opportunity.

He clenches his fist in anger as he saw a smirk formed on the older dude's annoying face.

"Nevermind." He said and cuts the call.

He smirked as looks his wife and that guy he had met at O'Dwyers mansion by her side. She looked like she has been caught doing something bad.

Instead of getting up to go to her and deal with her, he chose to enjoy the show for a while. He wanted to see how the two will react first.

Beckett could tell what his intentions were by him not getting up and coming to them to ask why they're together but instead he was just watching them like a hawk.

He knew what he wanted and he Beckett was not in the mood to give him any show for the sake of his love.

He didn't want to cause any drama but he sure as hell wasn't going to let his love go back to this man either.

He gently taps his girlfriend on the shoulder to get her out of her stupor. "Baby, why don't you go back to the car? You're standing in the way please. Hm?"

Leony nodded and turned to walk out of the restaurant to where Beckett had parked his car. He too followed suit once she was out of the restaurant.

Darragh was quite disappointed at their actions. He had expected a good show from them at least.

He thought the younger dude will try to mark his territory on his lover by making them go ahead and have their lunch date here and be all lovey dovey with her in his presence.

Or the youmger guy would have walked straight up to him and confronted him on having to interfere in their relationship especially since he was now thinking that this might be her baby's father.

For he is the only one that he has seen her with since they got married, so he was beginning to think that he is her lover.

Seeing how they are leaving without eating at all because of him also sort of annoys him.

Well at this point he was sure no matter what they do or did not do he was still going to be angry anyway, even if his wife were to come to his table now and apologise for having left his house just to go back to her lover.

Darragh also got up and followed in the same direction as his wife's lover. He has no intention of having her escape his grasp.

What was she thinking? That she could do whatever she likes after having putting such a scam on him and his family?

Did she think that having almost identical features as his beloved will give her the same free passes that he gives his Alexia when she offends him?

'Funny.' He thought to himself as he saw that his wife was already standing by her lover's parked car and was about to get inside.

He speed walked and jogged until he passed the other guy and got to her.

He opened the front seat door and her quickly pulled his wife out of her lovers car.

"Where do you think that you're going?"

Beckett has also reached there by now and he tried to take his girlfriend's hand from the man.

"What do you also think that you're doing right now? Are you trying to cause a scene here? Do you crave the attention that much?"

Beckett had made them leave the restaurant to avoid any drama like this.

Why has he followed them out too? Is he that willing to create a scene? Why? Doesn't he know that the media will have a field day if they got wind of this?

Doesn't he, as a son of the first family know that they can't act as how they like when outside their homes for others to see?

Even though this place's security is quite tight, what happens if any of the employees or customers sees them and takes a video of their interactions?

"What do you mean that I intend to cause a scene here? Isn't it you two that want something like that to happen? Huh?" Darragh said to him.

He pried Beckett's hands away which were trying to release his hold on his wife's hand.

"Don't you know that you will draw attention to us once people notice what is going on here? Please let go of my hand first, you're hurting me." His wife said trying to pull her hand out.

"You should have thought of that before you ran away from home just so you could be with your lover.

What? Did you think that I'll just let you go after putting such a scam on me and my family?"

"Mr. Gallagher, you're hurting her. Is this how you were raised to treat a lady?"

"Oh Really? You want to go there with me? You who is having an affair with my wife wants to talk to me on how to treat my cheating wife?! How ironic.

If you know what is good for you two, you will shut up and tell your lover to quietly follow right now before the gossip mongers start gathering around us. It's up to you two."

Darragh said, still not letting go of his wife.

"Baby you go with him for now. Don't worry, I'll follow you two right away."

"Are you sure babe? But I wanted us to talk about something first." Leony said while shaking her head with fear and teary eyes, letting her boyfriend know that she doesn't want to go back with the other man.

His current behaviour is scaring her. What if he does something to her?

"Dont worry baby, it'll be alright. I'll be right behind you. Mmuah." Beckett kisses her forehead after saying that to assure her, pissing off the already enraged husband the more.

He too doesn't want his girlfriend to go with him but they have to avoid causing a scene which will not favour all three of them. But the one that will suffer the brunt of it all will be his girlfriend.

"Okay." Leony nodded and wiped her face. She didn't want this man to think that she was only a wimp and that he could do whatever he wants with her.

She turned to her husband and said "Let go Mr. Gallagher. I'll follow you out of here."

"Good choice." He said and pulled her all the way to where his car was packed. The driver came out to open the back seat door for the two upon spotting them.

Darragh forces her inside and closed the door before going to the other side of the passenger seat at the back to join her in.

"Where to sir?" His driver knows his office hours is not over but from what he just saw,

his boss might be angry and may want to go home to talk things out with his wife instead of going back to the office.

"Let's go home." He sent a text to his secretary, Reina, to clear the rest of his schedule for the day.

He had actually finished with the more important and urgent ones already.

Beckett followed them out of the restaurant just as he has promised his girlfriend making her relax in the car once she knew that he was really following after them.

Darragh's anger soared and when he reached home, he made the security prevent his wife's lover from following them inside his house.

Once inside, he forced Leony out of the car and pulled her all the way to the main house despite her resistance.

"Sit here and be quiet if you know what is good for you." He puts his wife on the large couch and released his hold on her now as he removes his suit and tie.

Leony tried to rub and massage the sore part of her hand which he held, to prevent it from becoming more sore later on.

Darragh called his cook and made him prepare something for his wife to eat first for which Leony was quite grateful for as her stomach kept rumbling and rumbling.
